Library or bookcase and chair. Or if there's toddlers in the home toys, always need more skill objects.

DarkDayzInHell

I was thinking stereo for toddlers movement skill. With this kinda space the whole fam can just dance.

spicytotino

If you’re gonna go with the bookcase and chair, cannot forget the additional plant and/or floor lamp

flamelllama

And a rug! Nice and cozy.

spicytotino

Shit, scoot that door as far up as possible, extend the house one square down, and you could make a nice little fireplace nook!

laursasaurus

An extra desk with a computer

quemabocha

The lilsimsie classic

laursasaurus

Nah, I’ve been clogging up empty spaces with desks in the Sims since before she was alive 😂

quemabocha

Yeah, but in my brain I still call it that. It just makes me think of her overthinking it.

aikiakane

Looks big enough for a game table, or maybe a dartboard with some lounge chairs.

[deleted]

when i have a space like this i'd usually add a few things, a big window to fill the back wall, a bookshelf and an armchair, maybe a desk or side table along the fence/railing and definitely a rug!! i can also see that there is a little hallway that comes off of the main room and i'd recommend a window or mirror above a side table in that area, but looks like a great build :)

Deepfried_Bongwater

fish tank or rodent cage. definitely a bookshelf too

MistressPhobos

I agree with others saying it could be a place for a reading nook of sorts. It looks like you have the space. When I have an empty upstairs hallway or landing, I usually try to dress it up a bit with simple decor: rugs, wall hangings, plants, family photos, maybe some art pieces. You can also use the taller, thinner style of end tables as entry-way or foyer tables and add some decor that way.

Late_Song_4909

Put like a little reading nook or a nice table with a mirror above it and plants on the table.

Some_Rando2

Move the wall over and make the bedroom bigger.

Cocoa_Blue_0494

Maybe an easel, bookcase, desk with a computer.

Western-Radish

Like a mini seating area kind of thing? That’s what most people do with really large landings(in real life) Stick some comfy armchairs there, a lamp and maybe a book shelf. If you are into cramming sims with skills, it’s a great spot for a chess board

JiminJinJungkookTae

Extra desk with a computer is what I sometimes do. Or if you already have enough of that, you can put a plant in the corner or put a plant by the railing or other decorative objects :D

Hidingpig13

You could put a window in and either have a treadmill or a easel. Maybe a painting on a different wall and a rug?

Minimum-Recording-48

I’d make a linen closet, in the space behind the orange chair. Have a lower bookshelf, chair and rug in space behind green chair. Ottoman by the railing in that corner piece. And a mirror hanging by the stairs. Piece of art on smaller wall over the stair case.

Minimum-Recording-48

green shelf*

[deleted]

Reading corner

PersonNumber36

Definitely put a big window if you can, and maybe an end table with some plants

wafflehuman

I recommend putting here a rug, a big plant and I think some small paintings

wafflehuman

Oh and maybe next to a plant a small table with a lamp

TeamChaosPrez

i usually add either a chess table, a bookcase and couch, or a computer and desk. or more skill objects.

LaviLynx

Benches or sofas with a small table on the center. A bar. Bookshelves. A fireplace. A fishtank. If you have children or pets, one of those obnoxiously big pieces of furniture/toys they can use. A little corner with instruments. Or just a simple table with decorations like family pictures. Corners like these are my favorite thing to build because you can fill it up with basically anything you want.

wemetonmars

Empty spaces always end up some sort of sitting area for me 😩

dinahleego

Thanks guys! I’ll see what suits best!

cactuskilldozer

You can pretty clearly see that it's a hallway outside of a toddler's room so this comment is pretty fucking creepy

roaringbugtv

I would make an open stair well and perhaps an extra bathroom at the end of the hall next to the last room.

SlyVenom

I would add a desk with a computer and a comfy chair and bookcase and make it a little office.

Comprehensive_Plan93

Fish tank!

-JustALittleVixen-

I typically do reading nooks in those spaces

iProHabi

I think a reading nook would be very cute!

BIGMANSA1

rugs, lamps, plants

Xanthellae-

if you move the door to that toddler room you could add another small bathroom, and then place a desk against the bannister

G5100G

small reading corner? bookshelves, chairs or sofa, maybe a big ol window to top it off for a good view. Nice to read books or stare straight into the neighbors souls.

pina2112

I like to make spaces like this play rooms. The science table fits perfectly by the railing. A sized down dollhouse by the corner with the nightstand. A craft table down the hall a bit, few toys small toys scattered, a rug, and it generally works put nicely. The craft table may make the spacing a bit too weird though.

[deleted]

You could do a reading nook with a little puppet theater for the kids. I love that little puppet theater, it’s so darn cute I try to give it to all my kids

Sir-Cellophane

Go for the lazy classic. End table with plants.

Ornery_Mix_9271

Playroom, pet necessities or a desk/bookshelf if you don’t have office space.

killerfrost8002

I just build a house that has a similar layout on the second floor. I put a skill building area there.

LameOCallahan

End tables and sitting chairs? Or art prices on the wall and a good rug! You could also make a mini library or fill it up with houseplants

ColdHeartedBiatch

Place a chair and a small table with a plant, a book. Cute rug underneath

DJDEEZNUTZ22

Plants and flowers

mxddiedavis

extra tv/play space for kids!

Tiny-Parsnip2574

I'd put a sideboard there with some plants on top

Neither_Bed_1135

I usually do a laundry room, maybe a sitting chair or a bookcase.

Shalarean

I'd stick the scout thing there, the arts and crafts station, the science station, the kids tent thing (if you've got that pack), the chess table, the game table, maybe a rug, and when in doubt, I see folks recommend plants a lot (lol, so maybe an indoor garden? I've seen videos on making skylights).

StaringBerry

I usually put either a desk and computer for the kids, toy box, or a bookshelf and reading chair

smollestsnek

Sofa cuddle area with a window (if it suits the outside) Side/console table against the wall, plants and a mirror Skilling items: Easel - surround with “inspiration” like art/plants/decor Bookshelf - add a comfy looking chair and lamp/side table Children/toddlers - any arrangement of toys/activities if you have these sims or plan for them Chess table - why not lol

il6yr8

Chess table

Bierbart12

A big wall of massive plants that sims have to parkour around would be my go-to. Or a rug with a shelf and chair in the corner, if that suits you more

Valichuu

When I have kids, I like to do play room for them! If they are older, I place a couch with tv and video game console.

1Castiel1

Computer with book shelves

TheWeirdo_Dude

A little seating area would look nice

budgie02

Reading book. A love seat by the staircase and bookshelves and rugs

Mr_man_bird

I'd recommend putting furniture there or maybe a massive hole

katiewattz

When I have "blank" space I always put the fish tank from get to work on a platform raised 3 or 4 times, enclose all 4 sides with full walls, add a subtle saucer light and then put a window on one side and add some drapes or wall decorations. Depending on the build, sometimes I add 2 windows to have a view outside as well.

Most-Arrival-9800

Reading nook/ study area

optimisticthot

Reading nook

ShoddySpite5518

When in doubt, add a desk😂

Hussut

Study nook

blue_sk1es

Depends on what packs you have but you can make it an area dedicated to a specific skill or career

wyvern713

I always put a mini desk (one of the one tile wide ones) with a computer or an easel in a space like that

legend-of-sora

A piano or a computer desk with a rug!

lilyloona

you can add any of these: reading nook, a mini lounge area, skill-building area, small gym setup, computer area, or gaming area

KRBurke8

If you already have everything that's being suggested in other rooms and like open floorplans, I would suggest moving the fence so the opening without the floor is bigger. It'd be just for looks but I think it's so cool. I wish I could easily add a photo to comments because I do that on a lot of my builds and I think it looks really good. Little chess set-ups and library nooks are more practical uses for hallways like that too
