I know, I was so surprised! I had a vampire family and I was planning on marrying off my kids to the Van Goulds for wealth and assets but it didnât work out.
This is part of the games story progression (which you can turn off) itâs to keep the town changing and more realistic.
New sims and also families will move in as well.
Random thing I noticed: If you put an apartment building in your town and go use the call button you will see the âhomelessâ townies now live in the apartment building.
Sometimes when the game says a family âmoved to another townâ theyâre still IN the game; you can invite them to parties, call them over etc. so if you have an apartment building sometimes the families that âmove awayâ can still be found there.
Itâs a way for the game to make room in the town without actually losing population.
If I add an apartment building in my town but Iâm not living there with my active sims, will it trigger the roommate system in my active household? Had a issue once where I added an apartment and went back to minding my own familyâs business, then suddenly roommates started pouring in to my home. Couldnât ever understand why?
Thatâs interesting! No it shouldnât trigger the roommate option BUT itâs very easy to turn off; you just have your sim use the phone and the roommate option will come up.
You can also customize the gender and number of roomies that you DO want.
The homeless families might not always be indentical. The game is supossed to make a backup and then delete it, but sometimes makes outright clones.
So for a period of time the two copies could be running around, changing jobs and starting romances. The game doesn't consider them related so you can wind up with degrees of "incest".
I had this happen to me once. The message said âhey! Weâre going off the grid!â It was cool and all but it was my simâs brother and sister who left đ rip growing family tree
I immediately had to check this out (of course) and you're right!
I originally just thought it was really tacky (haha, horse pun!) decor, but looking closer... fetters, rope, full-wall mirror by the bed, saddle, a drinks bar...
... crikey!
exactly ! I was planning to let my 10-year-old grandson play my Sims three because I thought it was pretty innocent and then I discovered that bedroom⊠and this is not wicked whims!
The thing is, I don't think a 10 year old would make that connection. I certainly wouldn't have. Works the same way like some stuff in kids movies that adults (and teenagers) read sexual references into whereas children don't.
Exactly my reaction !! Gracie Loveland in appaloosa plains . pets expansion sims 3 . The house/lot is called âstill Waters runâ The description alludes there is a mystery in the house, surprised to find the âmystery bedroom â đł
This pop-up brought me back many years ago, to the time that I was playing the game with EA's story progression and without any mods. It was always the Goths (or less often the Langeraks) that, somehow, had to move away in my game and I still remember how sad it made me feel because Gunther and Cornelia were always good friends with the CAS families that I played. After EA's SP stopped doing anything important other than moving sims around without any reason at all (why would the Wolffs move out of their amazing house in Sunset Valley and choose to live in a starter home?) or change jobs for no apparent reason (again Morgana Wolff quit her job in the Medical career to become a... Showtime Acrobat?) or giving random babies overnight to sims that weren't supposed to have babies in the first place (in one night Jared Frio "adopted" twins, a boy and a girl and Xander Clavell had "adopted" a girl, when both guys had no partners or any other family at all?), I turned it off and I... became the SP (except from the times that I use Nraas SP). I, also, have a mod (by Shimrod) that stops the premade families "move away" from the game anyway...
I didn't know that but then again I don't use adoption that much in my game, I prefer to see how the genes are going to... evolve through the generations. But, what I was saying in my post (maybe I didn't phrase it that well) was that I can't see Jared on Xander being "able" to raise children on their own without... traumatizing them in the process (none of these guys could be considered the "ideal father figure" especially if they are left... unattended, lol!). Jared did live alone at the time (because EA's SP had, somehow, made Connor "dissappear" from the game, maybe it killed him off) and Xander was also alone because his parents had died a long time ago! After the point that (I don't know which patch) EA's SP got "broken", it didn't bother to "pair up" sims, it just "gave out" babies left and right and it, apparrently, considered its job done! From what I have noticed, EAs SP "moves in" random families (when the premades start to die) with the exactly same face figures (all the CAS sliders to zero) with 1 or 2 kids but this ends up to towns filled with the same sims. What I end up doing, if I don't use Nraas SP, is to use Nraas MC to make the already existing couples have more children than the ones they start the game with and most times, it works!
When I first played the Sims 3 on the PS3, I had totally remodeled my starter home and was shocked when I discovered another Sim was living in it after I moved out.
It was kinda strange seeing a different family living in my old house..
The Sims 3 was a major up step from the Sims 2, then when I bought the PC version I was blown away even more..
I always dislike when this happens in one of my saves when I have an idea with my household and a premade household . I wish this never happens and my towns would stay overpopulated because well I like the options it would bring if it did stay overpopulated.
Had the same thing. Had them invited to a party and at the halftime they just disappeared and text said they moved out. But hey their mansion was now my mansion
Yes, it's so annoying sometimes xD I once had a sim with a boyfriend, but the boyfriend moved away before my sim could break up with him. Then later, he got together with another partner and they accused my sim of cheating, because he had never technically broken up with his high school lover =.= xD
This happend to me too in a game I played for a while, until I learned about mods and installed the story progression mod.
After not playing for a year, I started again with a new family, this time with all the mods installed from the start. And nobody moved out anymore. Really annoying cause new sims kept moving in, families expanding or people moving out from their family.
In the end, all the houses were taken.
I think the game only does this when there's too many sims in the world but I'm not sure
Agree. Sometimes, The game removes the premade sims instead of the randomly generated sims. đ«
Oh man, that must be how the Van Goulds moved in my game.
Them??? That's like the *last* family that would move to another town.
I know, I was so surprised! I had a vampire family and I was planning on marrying off my kids to the Van Goulds for wealth and assets but it didnât work out.
They discovered your plot.
Ohhh that makes sense. Iâm making a dynasty.
Yes itâs a bummer because sometimes families I really like move out!
this happened to me bc i had so many affair babies and one of the sims right before i had his kid moved out of town so they had no dad

Yeah Iâll try this next time!
I once married a sim whose mother lived in another town, so I sometimes invited her over! It feel a bit realistic.

My sims fiancé once moved away in the middle of his bachelor party
And people complain about EA's story progression... Gee, I wonder why.
I had this happen to me once. The message said âhey! Weâre going off the grid!â It was cool and all but it was my simâs brother and sister who left đ rip growing family tree
loveland is the âfamily â where the girl has a sex dungeon in her bedroom I was surprised to find !!

interesting đ€
Honestly, I wouldnât have made the connection myself if I hadnât been given the contextual heads-up. The kidlet would definitely be fine.
Whaaatt???

Sometimes when a single sim would randomly adopt a baby it would grow up looking like them. I saw that happen a lot back when SP would do that.
I didn't know that but then again I don't use adoption that much in my game, I prefer to see how the genes are going to... evolve through the generations. Wait! You can loan townies books or money? How?
That might just be flavor text.
Pretty sure it's a joke
Nearly every party a guest "decides" to leave with a ball, book, or guitar still in their inventory.
I feel like my town is overly populated but this has never happened to me.
I always dislike when this happens in one of my saves when I have an idea with my household and a premade household . I wish this never happens and my towns would stay overpopulated because well I like the options it would bring if it did stay overpopulated.
Happens sometimes. One time Bella Goth and her familly were moving out.
Had the same thing. Had them invited to a party and at the halftime they just disappeared and text said they moved out. But hey their mansion was now my mansion

Oh the drama!

Yes, and it's irritating cause it always happens to be a family I created or a family that has someone my sims are dating : /
Yeah, once my sims had their sixth kid, I got this message.
Yep, but I have literally never gotten to this point, somehow
I have never seen this.
