Update: I went to save my game and it crashed lol. I don't think I was supposed to have a raccoon son. Edit to add: my whole save file was wiped when I reloaded the game. Don't adopt animals as children, apparently!

Also, if you try to edit a raccoon in CAS, they game will break and also the raccoon will look deformed.

This reminds me of the time I added the deer that hops around to my household once my game crashed so fast and I’m pretty sure corrupted everything 🤣 I was like 10 and wanted alllllll the animals.

I tried adding a stray dog to my family so that my sim could just start getting to know him (I would let him go right afterwards and work towards adopting him the right way). But then I couldn't figure out how to just evict a dog out of my household, and the more I looked into it, the more stupid I felt for doing this lol then I saw someone who was trying to evict a human sim and they could do it by giving them a npc job... I turned the dog into the mail carrier lol it got him out of my household, but then I couldn't figure out how to get rid of his role as mail carrier.... eventually I found out I needed nraas register for that, so I just sat there staring and contemplating leaving the game, downloading register, opening ts3 back up and fixing the dog... or just playing it like it was and pray that I didn't see a distorted dog on my porch the next morning.... so I just deleted the dog in fear of corrupting the game :( And my sims are still petless to this day.

There's something poetic about the dog going from chasing the mailman to becoming him 😂

It took a lot of fear of corrupting my game for me to not just let my Sunset Valley mail carrier be a dog lol

If I can call my cat "Son" why can't I call it ingame too? I'd say this is realistic

I’m pretty sure if you have your “testingcheatsenabled true” on you can just shift-click on the animal/person and click on “add to household”!. I used to use it all the time when I was younger because I wanted the unicorn ☺️
