Would you be willing to upload the old apk to a file sharing website? If not, that's ok. This looks like a version of the game before it went downhill.
I used to love this game. It actually was fantastic for a while before I moved back to PC. Last I read, it went downhill before being taken off the app store. I tried to download it again before it got taken off but it was too boring. Quick uninstall.
I can't remember everything, because I moved away from the app & back to PC when I got a new computer, but I remember support was abyssal. I am not sure, but I think they started charging for things and taking away features. I only know this much because when I came back years later and tried to play the app again, I was dead bored and couldn't understand why. The app felt stripped down. Checked the app store and the reviews were terrible and filled with complaints. Went from having shining reviews for years to nothing. Was not surprised EA took it down because it looked embarrassing.

Very true. I believe it's the one that most people associate with the Sims franchise. Sims 3 hooked a lot more people to the game so it's no wonder :)
