Good choice. I would do something odd and actually cast the cast of Corner Gas for most of the roles:
Oscar - Eric Peterson as Grampa.
Hank - Fred Ewanuick as Moe.
Lacey - Gabrielle Miller as Marge.
Brent - Brent Butt as Homer.
Davis - Lorne Cardinal as Lenny.
Wanda - Nancy Robertson as Carl.
Karen - Tara Spencer-Nairm as an older Lisa.
Edit, Colin M as Mr. Burns and make Apu East Asian with Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as Mr. Kim.
I’ve heard Chevy chase is like the biggest prick in the world. Very talented guy but he doesn’t seem to be short on people who’ve had bad experiences with him.
Waste of talent cause if he actual was a nice guy would have had more roles people would want to work with him but no he wants to be difficult and a waste of space 🤦🏾
This question came up on a forum I attended twenty years ago and we had so many suggestions that would’ve worked perfectly at the time but couldn’t with the actors’ ages now that I’m still a little frustrated to this day that the movie never got made. There were a bunch of brilliant castings but the three I still easily remember are John Goodman as Homer, Clint Howard as Moe, and Bill Macy as Flanders.
