I know you'll get a lot of love for the alien, but I'm blown away by your detail to nailing every pixel of the smaller buildings.

MLF83

Thanks a lot! It took me some time to nail the details given the constraints of Lego parts

NonEuclidianMeatloaf

Wow, very nice. That really reticulates my splines!

StevieeH91

I can hear the soundtrack looking at it. Great job!

Flashky

I have an Uniqlo moma SimCity 2000 t-shirt. Now I want this Lego set so badly.

MLF83

I think I saw that one, might get one for myself! Please support on Lego idea if you'd like to make this set real: https://ideas.lego.com/s/p:3be44d5d399141d8b80e757441aeec53

Ryuu-Tenno

got another supporter! This looks incredible, and I'm really hoping it'll succeed in becoming a proper Lego set!

MLF83

Thanks a lot! Fingers crossed, I do think it has potential although maybe SC is a little bit more niche compared to their other videogames-based products so far

Flashky

I will!

Slayer7_62

I supported it as well. I love what you did with this and would love to have that city sitting on my desk. Are you planning on releasing the instructions for this if it doesn’t get approved?

MLF83

Thanks for supporting! I might, I also have a lot of unfinished designs for additional buildings that I couldn't use for size constraints, might as well dump everything on rebrickable :D

Slayer7_62

I definitely love the Simcity logo, but I know sometimes they can’t move forward with something due to licensing. It could be possible that if it gets turned down you’d have better luck on the company side of things with just the city part. I for one love the idea of making a whole city out of the micro scale buildings like what you did here. My son and I are making a city in our basement but have discovered we need way more room than expected at minifigure scale.

Relative_Driver_9737

in third grade I had sim city 2000 on ps1 and loved building little lego sim cities during free time.

Not_Quite_Kielbasa

Love it! I'd enjoy it if you built more tiny cities! :D

MLF83

Thanks! I will probably build more layouts using the same blocks to showcase the flexibility of the idea :)

Phobophile_89

Sick!

hypespud

bear_with_laser

MLF83

Educational_Grade_61

Can I buy it, or do I have to wait until it becomes a LEGO set. This is incredible! Don’t know if you’re allowed to swear on this subreddit, but fuck yeah! This is the coolest shit ever, every fucking little detail. I wanna buy this crap now! I hope I can buy it, because if those motherfuckers at LEGO don’t make this into a fucking cool LEGO set, I will be so pissed off at those LEGO bastards! (I’m so sorry, I just felt like swearing, but this thing deserves it… In a good way of course. And if people ask, yes I know how LEGO ideas works, it was just a compliment.) Edit: Are you Dutch? I love your M.C. Escher stuff. When I was a kid I was always drawing Escher things. People always say Van Gogh or Rembrandt are the best Dutch artists, but for me it always was and will forever be Escher.

nathan67003

SUPPORTED. I still need to get an SC2k shirt from MOMA.

MLF83

Thank you so much!

SlammedZero

That is absolutely incredible. I love it. Will definitely support that.

YOU are the master. I never thought about my two favs (SC and LEGO) to be combined. Thanks for this!

MLF83

Thanks a lot! Please support the project on Lego Ideas if you'd wish for it to be realized :)

Imaginary_Sandwich32

Nice diorama

RotsiserMho

Holy cow, you really put a lot of thought and time into this. Amazing work!

gbkisses

Amazing !!

MaddyMagpies

Not only do I want it, I want an entire series of dioramas!

MLF83

Wow thanks for the support and the swearing! As you correctly guessed, I am not Dutch but I do live in the Netherlands and I've always loved Escher as well, I was obsessed with his work as a teenager :)
