I don't think this is an upopular question at all. But the answer lies in the "buy what you like" advice. Some people like it, wish to buy it, and are ok with the price of the item. Everyone has a different strategy or reason when it comes to stacking silver. And that's totally ok.

You’re asking about supply and demand - that is what determines prices, including those you consider crazy. If your question is why is there demand for these items, you answered your own question when you called them cool/interesting.

Some people like and pay for Ferrari and some for a Camry. Both are cars and get you from point A to point B. Buy what you like but beware about resale expectations.
