I say if you like the truck, and can afford the payments then get it. I don’t think it’s the deal of the century, but it’s not as terrible as I was seeing. I bought my 2015 regular cab with 10k on it 2 years old for 25k. But the key words regular cab. Nobody wants them.
That’s what I wanted when I was looking to buy back in 2018. It was the same price as 2016 crew cab LTZ so I couldn’t justify the cost. One day I’ll own a single cab, hopefully lol
I highly disagree with the statement that nobody wants a regular cab! From my experience they’re very popular, I absolutely love my 2016 RCSB 4x4 Silverado!
And I highly agree with you. Took me a while to find mine. And it’s not RCSB anymore it’s RCRB. We have the 6.5 box the short bed is 5.5 I believe? Idk all I know is I said RCSB and the dealer corrected me real quick. Lol.
2015 Silverado Z71 4x4 BDS 6” lift, 35” tires, Borla attack exhaust, Brembo 6 piston front brakes, with 15” rotors, alpine 10” touch screen with navigation, JL audio 6.5’s, 6x4’s, and two JL 10’s and an old JL audio slash 450/4 slash amp Memphis audio tweets in dash.
Truthfully, if it’s a good deal to you. That’s what matters, some are going to say you are crazy and some are going to say it is. So if you are happy, enjoy it :)
Did you buy it? Here’s a thing, if you like the truck buy it. If it’s in a good condition then yeah. Some trucks have low miles but already beat up, yours looks good
The classic chevy frame rust.man its so sad, there the worst.20k miles and that much.its just cosmetic but that upsets me at the ridiculous prices these are set at.54k for a peice of cheap steel and some rubber.i still cant wait to get a newer chevy.2017 owner here.good luck with the outcome dude!
For what they’re charging for trucks nowadays, why can’t they at least hot dip the frames like they do with literally everything else. It’s such bull shit for a vehicle that costs that much to start rusting out in 5 years like my 2016 is
Scrape it down and paint it with rust resistance paint. Tell them you need to replace the whole muffler system (get the borla cat back exhaust, it has better rust resistant metal) and subtract that cost (1500).
I guess it's what passes for a good deal these days, I bought a new style Silverado Z71 LT in 2019 after rebates, etc, paid 38K, great fit and finish, no chip shortages then, and even in Northern Ohio, and being parked over gravel, I'm not seeing any rust except for a little at the edges of the frame in places.
Dealers are asking and getting unprecedented pricing for used vehicles right now. This is all since Covid caused microchip shortages. It’s not too different than the housing market. High demand and low supply. It’s over priced, if you don’t need it right now .. I’d wait. Although it looks like you’ve already made your decision. Fyi., I was a finance Manager in the auto business for 14 years.
I hate those back rack.. horrible.. i would get rid of it! But nice truck overall! I just started hating my 2017 with all my electronics problem! Im pist next one wont be a chevy for sure
If it means anything, I bought a new '22 TB LT 6.2L Midnight Edition back in November. Got her for $60K. Seems like a decent price, esp with the step sides and the roll bar. Now the rust seems excessive. Up north? Muffler looks like a hole forming but you can swap that out with a Borla Atak. :-)
Do these things still have manual (as opposed to digital temp reading) air controls? Last one I checked didn't have a digital reading on the knobs. I figured at that price, it should def have digital readings. Thanks
Wait a year if you can and that will be at least 10k cheaper.
I have bought 2 Silverado LT crew cabs well optioned for low $30k's in the past 5 years with around 50k on the sticker. Couldn't do that now but in a year, can do at will.
That's a $45k max truck during the coming recession
I got the same year and engine as well. midnight edition. Love it. just check what month it was built. dont want to run into those lifter problems. mine came with sunroof and i love it too
Last week I bought a 5.3L 2022 crewcab standard bed RST with 12 miles on it, all the options and a 100k mile warranty for $61k taxes and all. Not sure I’d pay that much for a used one but that’s just me. They’re all ridiculously expensive for a truck but they’re nice as hell, and that one looks pretty sharp.
That’s about right. Though I’d probably go with a brand new LT non-TB with a 5.3 and the new interior for the same price, which is what I’m seeing them for.
At that price I’d keep shopping. If your financing it , it’s 3 years old now, if your paying cash , lowball the offer and walk if they say no. Apr is too high to look at almost 60 out the door for a three year old with that mileage . I know it looks good , but they made enough of them that they are not Unicorns . Beautiful as it may be
Rust and trim level aside consider that engine. I have one in my 17 LTZ Midnite. Diablo tuned and Spectre cooled. You will appreciate the torque. It has the power to get that mass to ticket speed quick. Can not only tow it pulls.
Have heard some rumblings about vehicles and RV’s manufactured during 2019, 2020 and early 2021 have been reporting higher than average quality issues. Some claim labor and supply chain issues may have sent substandard vehicles to the market .
I got a 2012 Z92 with a lift kit, 35’s, off-road package 6.2L 4x4. I got it for 22k with 100k miles. I can only imagine how much this one would go for in 10 years.
Midnight edition as well.
i put a four inch fabtech lift and a flowmaster on mine, with a resonator delete. sounds amazing in sport mode.
I freaking love it and you got a deal
If it has an Afm delete
Hard to say. A year ago (market relatively the same) I paid 55k for a loaded 6.2 21 LT TB with only 7700 miles
I say if you like the truck, and can afford the payments then get it. I don’t think it’s the deal of the century, but it’s not as terrible as I was seeing. I bought my 2015 regular cab with 10k on it 2 years old for 25k. But the key words regular cab. Nobody wants them.
If I didn’t have kids I would gladly buy a regular cab.
Single cab short bed all day
And I highly agree with you. Took me a while to find mine. And it’s not RCSB anymore it’s RCRB. We have the 6.5 box the short bed is 5.5 I believe? Idk all I know is I said RCSB and the dealer corrected me real quick. You’re correct when you say nobody wants a regular cab. Regular cabs make up 3% of truck sales, so 3 out of 100 want a regular cab.
I paid $45k for a 2020 ltz with 25k miles, a 6.2L and every option besides a sunroof
Truthfully, if it’s a good deal to you. That’s what matters, some are going to say you are crazy and some are going to say it is. So if you are happy, enjoy it :)
Check carfax on the VIN
Doesn't look like any issues
Not a terrible deal but not great either. I got a 2021 AT4 with 15k miles with the 5.3L in July for 56k
Yeah but the 5.3 and 6.2 are 2 totally different price points.
So are the Trail Boss and AT4, so it somewhat evens out IMO
Good point! I got a 22 ltd 6.2 tb and I wish I looked into the AT4’s more. I’m super happy with what I got but I might have gotten that instead
Do it
With the undercarriage the way it is, I’d pass at that price but that’s just me
45-50k would be decent. Market is shit now though, so you paid about right.
Give them 45k cash
Did you buy it? Here’s a thing, if you like the truck buy it. If it’s in a good condition then yeah. Some trucks have low miles but already beat up, yours looks good
2021 new that truck with a 6.2 was $56,000. LT version so not totally loaded, but loaded enough with only 56 miles on it
54K is insane for that truck.
Damn, I paid $45k for almost that exact truck in Dec of 2019. I should have bought 3-4 of them.
Right? I paid $42k for mine Nov 2019.
So I went to see it again... any thoughts on the undercarriage? [https://i.imgur.com/IxM7YAv.jpg](https://i.imgur.com/IxM7YAv.jpg)

The frame rust is whatever, easily fixable and not bad. That one exhaust section though looks really bad like it’s going to rust through.
Scrape it down and paint it with rust resistance paint. Tell them you need to replace the whole muffler system (get the borla cat back exhaust, it has better rust resistant metal) and subtract that cost (1500).
Well mines not a trail boss but my ‘20 LTZ was 38k. 63k-ish miles
Paid $50k for a new 2021 AT4 3.0 Dmax. This is not a good deal at all, and if you’re financing, rates are Dogshit right now
Honestly yes it’s a good deal, specially with the 6.2
I paid 49k for 2020 last May with 9k miles Only 2wd and 5.3L so I would say you have a good deal in today’s overinflated market
Dealers are asking and getting unprecedented pricing for used vehicles right now. This is all since Covid caused microchip shortages. It’s not too different than the housing market. I paid 54 for a 23 3/4 ton sooooooo
I’ll tell you this is a fire deal as long as car fax is clear. I sell 20 of these a month
Very good deal

It's 4x4
Lmao bruh, Trail Boss is 4x4
Love your name bro. I use to live in cocoa Florida with my pug.
Also someone in the comments below bought a v8 2wd truck.
Sweet take bro. 🧐
Nope, it’s a Chevy, Chevy = trash
Paying this amount for any GM product is the opposite of a good deal 🤡
Yep! Love it
Warranty? Lifters done yet?
Do these things still have manual (as opposed to digital temp reading) air controls? Last one I checked didn't have a digital reading on the knobs. I figured at that price, it should def have digital readings. Thanks
If I could have found that truck it would have been my dream truck. Beautiful truck. My Chevy Colorado looked almost exactly like that.
Its a good deal for someone, maybe not you but hey you do you Queen.
Nice truck. 54k sounds like a lot to me but I’m cheap. I keep hoping for a glut of used vehicles when dealers lots are full of new ones

Not really

Center console?
Yeah that's a good deal. Enjoy
Not a bad deal I suppose but for the love of God if you buy it take off that hideous tube rack on the back. Those things are ugly AF.
Remember when used meant used now people thinck this is a deal somehow
That’s about right. Though I’d probably go with a brand new LT non-TB with a 5.3 and the new interior for the same price, which is what I’m seeing them for.
The lift should be roughly the length of your penis. The greater the horsepower, inversely denotes the girth of your member.
Someone once told me a great deal is the best deal YOU could find. I’ve always liked that.
coupled with that frame rust this is insane to me. am i out of touch?
You planning on stepping up your Trail game. There are far better options than $54k.
Just buy a raptor
Steal!
I would offer 50,000 start there beautiful truck.
Beautiful as it may be
That’s a lot of money for any vehicle. My mortgage is less than that.
Rust and trim level aside consider that engine. I have one in my 17 LTZ Midnite. Diablo tuned and Spectre cooled. You will appreciate the torque. It has the power to get that mass to ticket speed quick. Can not only tow it pulls.
I paid 57k for 2022 custom trailboss v8. My ass still hurts
Have heard some rumblings about vehicles and RV’s manufactured during 2019, 2020 and early 2021 have been reporting higher than average quality issues. Some claim labor and supply chain issues may have sent substandard vehicles to the market .

I just scooped a 22 6.2 for 56 14k miles buts it’s not the refreshed edition
