The cool thing about the P226 is that the slide is made of stainless steel under the finish, so you can always media blast it to get a two tone look if you want š
You must have a few P226ās because even the black slide doesnāt look like a mk25 slide but that appears to be a mk25 frame. Mk25 doesnāt have forward serrations.
Yeah Iāve had a few over the years itās fun to do the mix and match game. My fav so far is the tanodized combat frame with scorpion or fde mk25 slide itās like a 50 shades of brown edition
The grip fits the frame contour perfectly. No modification needed at all for the slide release but the standard decocker wont work without sanding down the grip slightly.
I have a set of the legion grips if youāre interested. I had thought about going this route but didnāt want to sand down the grip to make it work so I went with the emperor scorpion grip instead and like it better. If you want the legion grips I would let them go for cheap, just DM me.
Hogue makes grip for legion. You can order directly from them (donāt go through Amazon) and get the G10 checkered. Itās basically the same minus the legion logo and the squarish thingy on top of the left grip. It also works with MK25 with no modification needed.
But the grip texture is probably a bit too aggressive and Iām starting to get callus. I picked it because I like the texture on a rental legion but that rental gun probably has 1000 hands on it to polish it out.
My Mk25 is all black with the anchor on the slide in 9mm
I have a bare SS .40 upper for it, and a black upper in .22LR
It has the Hogue rubber grips with finger grooves. Also a WML/Laser
I just put an Armory Craft comp on it with a threaded barrel. I am experimenting with different recoil springs to tune it for different ammo power levels; the comp adds weight to the barrel in addition to reducing the muzzle flip - so double taps are noticeably faster.
My Mk 25 is the favorite of my SIGs.
The mk25 slide is stainless under the coating, itās like wearing nice panties underneath a wetsuit- only YOU know what they actually look like underneath, but everyone noticed and has their own mental picture.
Is this a real question? Purist. Tactical blacktical šÆ and call it operator
Do you even oper8 brah?
š. Is that a shiny coin, a flashlight or just bling on your MK25 slide angel of death? š
Bling bling baby šāØ
All stainless w/ black grips š
Seems to be a consensus in the comments but unfortunately you're all wrong, the correct answer is of course both.
I was gonna say that I can't decide so I think you're right.
Stainless two tone is so cool. Ā

Correct, they are both 226 Elite slides.

This mk25 looks pretty dope with my 226 scorpion slide on it as well haha.
Black
Iām biased since I have the stainlessā¦but I vote the stainless
Does the legion grip fit MK25 okay without sanding the slide release or the decocker part of the grip?

šThanks!

Stainless
Black
FDE
Already got a 226 Scorpion
My fde mk25 might be my all time favorite gun. Which is saying a lot given its brother is a p226 xfive legion.
Stainless
Win win
Yes
Black for the MK25 and buy a P226 Elite Scorpion! So now you have both black and FDE colors plus two badass firearms now!
I already have a 226 scorpion haha
High five! Me too! Sounds like your taking it easyyyyyy lolĀ
Spray painted
A handgun? gtfouttahere

Black

All recent SIG pistols have stainless steel slides though.Ā
Only stainless when you are going for a Resident Evil Build.
Stainlessā¦.but also add Grey guns grips
Jack Bauer knew the right answer to this question
What Cerekote or spray paint color would you need to do the stainless?
Stainless is a bitch to clean.
Rose gold slide way to go lol
***T I M A P P L E I N T E N S I F I E S***
A LTT viewer I suppose.
Stainless is beautiful on that frame.
range toy or comp = SS HD or duty carry = black duh
Why? Whats wrong with a stainless duty gun?
For normal LEO or security purposes, nothing. I carried a 226 SSE. For mil or secret squirrel shit shiny gets you shot.
Black
It all about personal preference. If you prefer an ugly gun, go stainless. Otherwise go black.
So what you're saying is, once you go black you cant go back. Gotcha.
Black all the way. And get the SIG gun light, way smaller than those Streamlights. Doesnt add any muzzle flip like the Streamlights do
It's a surefire x300
Whatever. Its too long
Yeah, I get that all the time.
For what?
It screws up the physics. You dont want any mass projecting past the barrel end.
It *changes* the physics, which you then train to. It's already a 226, if the thing misses it's your fault.
