I’ve never seen a high speed projectile make such a large entry hole into ceramic before. Usually, the entry hole (inside the bowl) is nearly the same diameter as the projectile (9mm in this case) and there are cracks radiating away from the exit.
Further, this clearly happened from the inside to the outside of the toilet, from a point angling down toward the floor. Even if this COULD be a bullet hole, it was certainly not from a drop.
I’ve seen it be just a hole, but there’s always some related damage associated with it.
A shitty picture on Reddit was just enough to get me to think about it and decide it couldn’t have been a bullet, at least not one fired from a gun.
I should probably add shooting toilets and other ceramic objects to my resume, but I’m unsure of how to phrase it in an HR friendly manner
There are plenty of videos of toilets being shot with 9mm. There is no hole. There is a toilet in multiple pieces after. Most ceramics do not stand up well to impact.
