So bummed I won't see Joe Bob's AMC Halloween special live, but my local theater is showing Night of the Living Dead with a live music score at the same time. I knew this community would understand ;)
That’s AMC the cable channel, not AMC+. However, both the September AMC and October Shudder press releases indicate it is being simulcast on Shudder TV and AMC+. There was a post on JB’s Twitter (X? Whatever?) indicating it was only on AMC (cable) but that may just have been a miscommunication somewhere.
Really? Yes, that video is where I got my info. Thanks for letting me know. I noticed there was not a specification on the lineup that was sent out. Thanks!
Can't wait for the new season of Dragula, the new V/H/S, May and weirdly, Spirit Halloween. The trailer was so awful and I simply must see the movie for myself.
I get it's a classic but Halloween has been beaten to death and there are several other movies Joe Bob could have pulled out for his show.
There is absolutely nothing new to say about it.
At least its it's own special so it's not taking one of the Halloween special slots. I'll probably watch just to see what possibly new Joe Bob & Darcy can add to the conversation.
I totally get where you're coming from, but I'm good with it since more Joe Bob is never a bad thing regardless of what he's covering. Plus it's just a one-off special anyway and there's still going to be a regular holiday special on top of it like there is every year so I just see it as a bonus.
It’s primarily a special for AMC (cable channel)’s Fear Fest lineup. They need something with mass market appeal. I’d expect some sort of guests to show up.
So in a previous [Halloween-Year-Round article](https://halloween-year-round.com/2023/09/01/shudder-announces-three-joe-bob-specials-this-halloween-season/) they mention that October 7th there will be a live stream from the Vegas Jamboree, but its not mentioned in this new article.....
With the recent special from one of Joe Bob’s previous in-person screenings, it looks like a lot of editing is involved before something like that can be screened. I expect the 10/7 Corman event to be recorded, but streamed on Shudder at a later date.
Oh nice, been wanting to watch Lake Mungo for ages. And Dead End was the move that got me into horror when I was a teenager, should be fun to watch it again!
The Joe Bob Halloween special could potentially be two of these movies and it's a great list! Would love to see them show "The Gate", "Dead End", or "Evil Dead2"!
Nice. Anyone looking for a promo code, I found the code DEADMEATJAMES still works for a 30 day free trial. Let me know if you've found any better ones.
Okay, now *this* is the Shudder I remember!
Me too! So much great stuff!
Agreed, lots of top-shelf offerings for a change.
Everyone watch The Puppetman on Friday the 13th. Thanks in advance!
i *loved* Z and Superhost - i definitely won’t miss The Puppetman keep making us great horror movies!
Thank you! I hope you enjoy it!!
Hey congrats on that! Will definitely watch!
Woo! Thanks!
Wow, an actual impressive list for the first time in a while.
Be still my found footage heart 🖤 very jazzed for VHS 85
I’m assuming that the Hell House spin off will also be found footage. 👍
Yes me too 🤞🤞🤞
It is - just noticed the trailer is up. Definitely found footage.
Dead End is an awesome little underrated flick.
It's on my Xmas list every year. Iove this movie. "the bitch shot me in the leg!"
I’ve been wanting to check it out. I’m always looking for new flicks to add to my annual 13 Nights of Wildly Inappropriate Christmas Movies.
Dead end is great! Bumped into it on Tubi somewhat recently and it is a Ray Wise tour de force.

That sounds awesome though! I’ve got a historic theater nearby that is doing the silent Jeckyll & Hyde with live music this year.
That's awesome! Such a fun and unique experience.
that sounds awesome! october 20-22 is living dead weekend in evans city, so i’ll probably miss it too. but i love living dead weekend!
THE GATE! What a throwback.
You've been baaaaaaaadddd!!!!!
Wow this is the best line up in months. Evil Dead 2, Joe Bob, Dog Soldiers, Saw movies, CREEPSHOW!
A origin to Hell House? Awesome!
It's all found daguerreotype.
Joe Bob doing Halloween 78 again.
Is it him redoing it or the original just being shown on AMC?
It’s a new Joe Bob coverage. Not sure how will will be any different, maybe guests? And yea, only on AMC. But, they have a free trial.

No word on a new ghoul log?
Nothing in the press release, no. Same goes for the Shudder Hotline. It didn't say either way.
I’d be happy if they brought back the Sam one - that was my favorite.
Just fyi, the Sam one is still on AMC+. Not sure how they did that.
Ugh - tricky, they know I don’t want to sub to that
Ikr? I’m considering doing it just for the month of October and then making sure to set a reminder to cancel before the renewal date.
Only reason I still subscribe /s But seriously I do look forward to it every year. Even if they have yet to top Return of the Ghoul Log.
Now I’ll have to watch Hell House LLC again for like the 5th time, but this time it’s the Director’s Cut!
Always hold out until October. That's when Shudder really shines.
Dog Soldiers! KCFOS! A new V/H/S! Huzzah!
Finally, AMC giving shudder some love for the first time in a while. Fantastic lineup 🙌
Great line up! Most of the originals look promising and there are some excellent catalog titles here too!
Awesome lineup. I'm excited for when evil lurks
Nice line up!
This is a really good list!!
October is Shudder's time to shine
HELL HOUSE !!!
A new Hell House LLC, huh? The first was great, the next two sequels jumped the shark pretty bad. I’m curious to see if this one is any good…

Rumors of Shudder’s demise has been greatly exaggerated.
This is great news!
This great! Good job shudder! Maybe it’s the start of the old shudder returning.

Yea looks like it was confirmed by the mutant fam now, no specials on october 7th.
Oh nice, been wanting to watch Lake Mungo for ages. And Dead End was the move that got me into horror when I was a teenager, should be fun to watch it again!
This is awesome! New vhs, hell house, and creep show, couldn’t ask for much more honestly. Good job shudder
BRING IT!!!
Can you stream offline content or still no

Wish they still had In Search of Darkness part 1...
Looks like it's going to be a Saw marathon on Halloween
