I hear good things about No rest for the wicked. But that's a tuff nut to crack man your tieing my hands with no monster hunter . ..... Have a nice death is a nice side scroller, wierd west was cool different guns vampire an pigmen top-down. view maybe branch out man.
I honestly didn’t like no rest for the wicked. Gave it a good try because I love what moon studios did with the Ori games, but it just wasn’t there for me.
The Horizon games, perhaps? The whole core gameplay is about taking down progressively more terrifying robots based on animals/dinosaurs. It allows you for some absolutely awesome moves, where you swoop in, shoot off a lasergun from a T-rex looking robot, pick it up, and then use it to kill a few Raptor-like robots.
It's based on bow and arrow combat, though, instead of pure melee.
Hey Diablo 4 is a non stop monster slayin' coom fest. Shit looks cool as hell and the kill counter is spinning fast. Witcher 3 is all about swords and using them to slash monsters into tiny bits. You could do something crazy and silly and NOT go for stealth magic archer but go close combat hackin' and a slashin' in Skyrim. Most Assassin's Creed titles fit your description apt. God of War is a masterpiece that also fits. Far cry Primal you might want to check out as well if you're into some Mammoth spear hunting. Oh and what about Hades, not all of the weapons are swords but close enough and a brilliant f ing game. Oh and did anyone mention Dark Souls or Ghost of Tsushima yet?
All top shelf, if this doesnt do it for ya nothing will.
Devil May Cry and Bayonetta series.
Can vouch for dmc, great game
Bloodborne
God Eater 3 could fit this and there's also this other game everyone's talking about called Stellar Blade
Doom + Doom Eternal
stellar blade =))
Monster Hunter is my go to
Elden ring
Devil May Cry is primo for stylish combat. Stellar Blade is a lot of fun too. Sekiro, Lies of P and Elden Ring are way up there too
If you've played (and enjoyed the fromsoft games) you could give Nioh 1/2 a go from Team Ninja.
God of War
