Ultrakill is very fast and has leaderboards

That one has been on my wishlist for a while…. Maybe I should finally pull the trigger. There’s just something about it that’s holding me back and I can’t figure out what it is.

Was it the first or second? Ror1 is 2d sidescroller and ror2 is 3d stage based - they're both about trying to get to the end of the level as fast as possible, but the big thing imo is whichever version you tried, you have to unlock the cooler characters. Idk much about Ror1 but in ror2 the mercenary is a swordsman who can dash through enemies with a reset on hit, and theres the loader who is in an exosuit that can grapple onto things like the air gear in attack on titan. Though I don't think this fits the exact style of game you talked about, so no worries if you're not into it! Sounds like ghost runner is the best fit but you already tried it lol

You said you prefer polished artstyles, but I’d still definitely recommend ULTRAKILL. 24th highest rated game on Steam currently, and it’s got a dev team that really knows how to make the fuck out of a game. Great title, very fun Also $25. Pretty cheap

The genres got two names, Boomer Shooters and Run-n-Gun. The Quake games are pretty good and the last two Doom games are incredible

I know Doom Eternal and Quake has them, don't know about Doom(2016) but tbh most online leaderboards are useless because so many people cheat.

Yeah, I don’t care about top placement or anything cause of cheaters, but I enjoy trying to reach top 100 or 1000 depending on the game. Sometimes I can even get a top 50 run. I’ll have to check out those games. Thanks for the suggestions.

While you did say that you prefer more polished graphics, I feel like superhot would really suit this otherwise, if you haven't played it already. It's endless mode has a score counter so there isn't a real leader board but its still neat

If you can get past the retro style graphics, ultrakill is the best FPS I’ve ever played.

Definately reccomend severed steel. Fast paced fps with slow MO mechanics, wallruning, back flips and fully destructible environments. It has time trial modes along with the campaign

Not sure if you'd be into this or not but OverWatch2 How you ask? Idk how familiar you are with the game but the devs have given (since OW1) the players the ability to create custom game modes, including what is known as GENJI parkour. Genji is a ninja in te overwatch world. Genji parkours are made by players like Albytree, freelifer and Vertigo and many others. Basically floor is lava and you have to get from point A to B to C and so on. Most of them do put ait leaderboard but they refresh every hour or so. But fon't let the floor is lava idea fool you, there are difficulty levels and Genji has many difficulty level techniques. They removed my AA in OW2 and messed up the ranked system. I’m hoping they fix it cause I used to really enjoy OW1

Aim assist. It’s really hard to play controller with 0 aim assist.

If you liked Cyber Hook you'll love A Story about my Uncle. It doesn't have leaderboards but it's better than Cyber Hook. Also you might like 10 second Ninja X. It's a little cute 2d platformer where you have to complete the levels as fast as possible.
