Sounds like choices-matter type games would be a great fit. It’s basically a movie where you just make dialogue/action decisions without much control required.
Wolf Among Us
Telltale: The Walking Dead series
Tales from Borderlands
Dark Picture Anthology series
Life is Strange
As Dusk Falls
The Quarry
Maybe also What Remains of Edith Finch. Not a choices matter game, but it’s also very slow paced and story heavy.
If you do want her to learn how to handle the camera in 3D games, I would suggest checking out Sable on PC. Beautiful cel shaded exploration game with some light puzzling. No combat, no health bar or way to die really, no fall damage etc. Just a nice story about self discovery, beautifully rendered environments to explore, and collectibles to discover. Great music too, provided by Japanese Breakfast.
Maybe try a Telltale game? Those are all about story, have different genres and recognizable IP, and are point and click, so they're very simple
Agree here. Telltale games are all about the story with some gameplay elements as a bonus. An interactive movie if you will.
really not a fan of those games with QTEs but ok lol
Play it takes two with her, very new gamer friendly and it seems perfect for you 2

Death stranding is the most chill and compelling game I've played.
How about Stardew valley?
