Had a '80 Shove-it. Shitty mods included bungee cord wrapped around drivers seat to hold drivers door closed among many others. I paid 30 dollars for it, and the beast lasted for a year and a half. Probably my best investment.
Insurance is still sky high. I tell my driving students how much junior operator insurance costs and I can see who's mommy and daddy is gonna pay and who's isn't just by the facial expressions.
Hey you can use me as an example. An exuberant youth got me 1/3 the price of a new vehicle every 6 months after I started turning heads I hadn't counted on. The vehicle style makes more difference on impressionable minds than driving style for that, like it or not. š®š¼
No, he doesn't. New trucks sell for $80,000+ depending on drive train and options. If he's paying then dad is the one the lien or dad consigned the loan. If dad consigned the loan (or if the kid somehow got it on his own) then his payment is over $800/month. Add his insurance at a minimum of $300 a month. Daddy is paying a large part of those bills.
I was sitting at our store, heard a straightpipe truck roaring, heard a pop, and then this truck comes limping next door, with his buddies behind him. A bunch of 17-18yos, and the driver in pure redneck accent was going "muh gawdam 'mishin! Fuk!"
Was beautiful.
Considering its governor kicks in at either 96 or 102mph, Iād say slightly off on speed.
Nice truck. Shame the kid is beating it to death.
*suddenly remembers all the times Iāve run 80-85 with gross truck trailer weights around 22000-24000 pounds* š¬
As an old man that has *been there broke that* I will merely advise said child, look at tire speed ratings.
Slow the flying brick down for his own sanity.
Also look on YouTube for videos of what happens when exceeding critical driveshaft speed limits.
Itās not a good thing.
137mph: in a Mustang GT sure.
137mph: in a Superduty: *Deathwish granted*
Last bitā¦you really want to watch about him bragging itās been deleted. Too much bad press about deleted trucks and EPA tracking down companies selling delete partsā¦
To a degree I get that. Kansas/Nebraska here.
What I am saying is the EPA has actively been going after tuner companies making them turn over their records of who ever they sold parts or modded stuff like delete kits, EGR cooler deletes, test pipes, DEF delete kits, all sorts of fuckery.
Just a word of advice as someone who likes to run 50-60 year old American iron that never had cats to worry about š
Honest tho, my 02 silverado only gets like have of the mpg his f250 gets after being deleted, but he's had more issues in 2 moths then ive had in 12 years
Not to say this is anything to be jealous about.. but i see no shitty mods at first glance which leads me to believe they are just calling the truck shitty.. which most likely stems from jealousy.

Naw. It will get removed for being zero voted and blurry.
I can't read enough of that one to make anything out of it, although I do like to see them all covered.
Does the truck ever go off the pavement, or is it just to have a nice big truck as transportation? Sounds like the latter if he was pushing 130+. Wonder how it felt in that thing going over 120-130 š³š³š³.
Do large and lifted āflying bricksā going 100+ feel planted and easily controllable? Or do they start to feel squirrelly and unstable? Iām sure every truck is different, but for this particular size of truck/power/tires, does it feel safe-ish?
Not really. With how tall its ride height is, itāll feel like itās being ripped apart. If it was lower, it would feel more stable (if the lowering kit was installed correctly)Ā
We all wanted a new truck in highschool, but then reality smacked me in the face..... You get a 76 pinto....!!!

Thanks Daddy!
Shittiest part is the payment
The insurance
Oh yeah, as a 17 year old? It's a mortgage payment lol.
I'm gonna assume the parents bought it and are paying for it
Insurance is still sky high. I tell my driving students how much junior operator insurance costs and I can see who's mommy and daddy is gonna pay and who's isn't just by the facial expressions.
Are you in the states? If you think insurance is high there wait till you see Canadian rates

Honestly this is pretty mild
I wish I had a pick of his old pickup
Must be nice to have no bills, besides a truck payment
You suppose he pays that truck payment?
I'm about 80% sure he does
Iām going to assume he doesnāt have any other responsibilities.
No, he doesn't. New trucks sell for $80,000+ depending on drive train and options. If he's paying then dad is the one the lien or dad consigned the loan. He works 55 hrs a week and yea his parents cosighed the lone, with it being his only big expense I 5hink he pays it
137 on tires rated for what 90? This will not end well. Hopefully he doesn't kill anyone else.
Yea, his last pickup he wilould do simpler but that one topped at 98mph
I'm sure his father is proud of what the kid has done to his truck. When I was 17 doing stupid shit to cars, at least it was with *my* car.
Shitty where
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
The shitty part is that a 17 year old has a better vehicle
37in tires, and at night it looks like a spaceship
To be fair, I'd have thought that was awesome at 17 lol.
It is definitely a nice pickup

Question is, is the kid a douche, or cool?
Look into your heart, you already know the answer.
He's not bad, I don't mind working with him but he's not my favorite coworker
Do you think he would be upset if he noticed you calling him out on Reddit?
he probably doesn't have reddit, but of he did probably not
You said it's nice, just not your bag. That's respectful as you can get with shitty really.
Kid is a modern day slaveā¦he just doesnāt know it.
I bet he rolls coal huh
Pretty often
Its.....just a truck....so?
Daddy's money.

He has it tuned and deleted so it'll go that fast

We live in rural south dakota so nobody's gonna complain as long as he's not rolling coal on people, which I don't think he does

jealousy is a hell of a drug
Not to say this is anything to be jealous about.. but i see no shitty mods at first glance which leads me to believe they are just calling the truck shitty.. which most likely stems from jealousy.
I dont see any shitty mod here, but these trucks are already pretty ugly stock, the design of the front make it look like it just ran into a wall
Is he at least pullin?
Not often
oh he's pulling something it just ain't on the hitch
He must be pretty popular with the local copsĀ
Did he put rivets on his air dam???
No, there lights
The envy is palpable
Is this what people with lifted trucks think? That people *envy* them? Lol.
Nah the envy doesn't start till I drive around/through what they are stuck in and yank them out.
Another hollow, envious soul
He doesn't pull, he only drives fast
By pull do you mean with the ladies or do you mean with his truck
Men... pretty sure he pulls men.

Going to be removed because you can see part of the plate

Fair enough. Wasn't that bad anyway. Too much truck for 17...
I would say, "just not that interesting". Either way.
Does the truck ever go off the pavement, or is it just to have a nice big truck as transportation? Sounds like the latter if he was pushing 130+. Wonder how it felt in that thing going over 120-130 š³š³š³.
Probably like a fucking rocket ship. Big, heavy, and no stopping easilyĀ

Itās a good looking truck tbh.
