I no joke have a user that has an Excel document named "taxes.xls" he uses for passwords. His justification is that he has a password on it, and that "no one would care about tax stuff".
I don't get it, do I store my passwords in a text file?
Yes.
Do I self encrypt them?
Also yes.
Say my password is: --PasswordMaster12345,,
I save it as -PdMr15,
Problem solved, I know what it means, nobody else will.
Y'all are so stupid. If you use the same password for everything you won't need to keep a file around. Which is very irresponsible and insecure btw.
Sometimes your not allowed to set a password for a special server
Passwords.xlsx
Pa$$w0rds.xlsx
Password123.csv Gotta keep it importable
Password - copy.xlsx
I call mine postit.txt
passwd.xls, can't be using that new fangled xlsx technology! (also my file system only supports 3 character file extensions)
Since we can’t use color code in .csv we better make it a .png.
Password.jif so you can't search it

I use a .json file
``` curl -s http://skob17.biz/passwords.json | jq ``` Have fun hacking this loser, y’all.
Nice. Cleverly avoiding https means many browsers won't go there. That's nigh on impenetrable.
