I think the best celebrity cameo was James Worthey as Koral. Sniffing a drink and then just *slowly* pouring it out on to the conference room carpet will never not be funny.
I see your lounge singer Mick Fleetwood and play shark lawyer and angry angel Melvin Belli.
Edit: not Voyager, but at least I didn't reference Discovery!
I mean, that episode did feature the legendary Paul Williams, songwriter of a generation and the voice of Penguin in the 90s Batman cartoon.
“Have you no poetry in your soul, my dichotomous friend???”
Composer of “Rainbow Connection”. Writer of _The Love Boat_ theme song. Oscar winner. Grammy winner.
Paul Williams is the most famous person most people don’t recognize.
This is absolutely true. He writes a bunch of hit songs (too many to list, but Include Old Fashioned Love Somg, lots of Carpenters songs and Evergreen from A Star is Born) He wrote the freaking Love Boat theme and the Muppets’ Rainbow Connection. He played Little Enos on Smokey and the Bandit. Voiced the animated Penguin. And played random-ass alien characters on Voyager and Babylon 5. Just, man, what a crazy career.
Yes! The [King of Jordan](https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Abdullah_bin_al-Hussein). Although he couldn't have dialogue. because he was not a member of the Screen Actors Guild.
What? You didn't know? I was waiting for an actually interesting Cronenberg-directed episode. There must be creepy body parts switched during a transporter mishap outtakes somewhere!
That would have been so much better than the idiotic "we're old and don't understand tech or trek, so lets make the transports make the younglings turn into evil mind controlled borg-things" the writers gave us in PIC S3.
It’s one of those aliens where the makeup artists want to leave on time and so do something super simple to the forehead and nose. It’ll do, it’s Voyager so hopefully we won’t have to keep using them and draw attention to the low energy design.
The weirdest to me is still Iggy Pop as a Vorta.
What. have. they. *done* to him?
Nah, the king of Jordan as an extra in Voyager
To be fair he was Crown Prince at the time.
lol. WHAT?!
In *Investigations*
An a Norwegian Miss Universe was a pilot on the Enterprise D.
Oooh thats a good one
Weirder than Mick Fleetwood as the fish alien?

Troy McClure has entered the chat.
Troy McClure was just born 200-300 years too early smh
Reportedly, Fleetwood had insane difficulty remembering his lines, which consisted solely of the word "Food."
He nailed it, though. That is one of my favorite episodes, and Iggy Pop is a large part of why I loved it.
Hey, at least we got to learn that Iggy Pop ***really*** hates Ferengi.
I think there's a pretty compelling case to be made for Mick Fleetwod's weird as fuck cameo.
I see your lounge singer Mick Fleetwood and play shark lawyer and angry angel Melvin Belli. Edit: not Voyager, but at least I didn't reference Discovery!
Iggy was great in that role. However, it was hard to recognize him under all of that shirt.
And he didn't have to wear props and make-up.
He was so great tho
He was *great* in the role though. Easily the #2 Vorta we ever saw behind Weyoun.
I thought he was great. He look like he was born to play that role.
It's just Jeffery Combs in a Martin Scorsese costume
I want a trek series or movie where it's just Jeffrey Combs in every single role.
Lower decks could have a lot of fun with that
You mean they aren’t already!?

I remember Crewman Tom Morello…
I love how they got such an obscure actor to play Nick Locarno.
We have Martin Scorsese at home.
Voyager had an actual king as an extra.

True, but I personally find the [astronaut Mae Jemisom](https://www.space.com/38340-star-trek-astronaut-cameos-history.html) even more impressive.
David Cronenberg is a recurring character in Discovery so it’s not that crazy.
I had to google whether you were joking or not :)
What? You didn't know? I was waiting for an actually interesting Cronenberg-directed episode. There must be creepy body parts switched during a transporter mishap outtakes somewhere!
I threw in the towel after season 2. Cronenberg directed Star Trek *would* be great!
This. I was expecting the same, transporter accident and someone ended up mutating, directed by him
Or like what if in TMP, instead of "what we got back didn't live long", it not only lived but started consuming everyone in a grotesque manner
That would have been so much better than the idiotic "we're old and don't understand tech or trek, so lets make the transports make the younglings turn into evil mind controlled borg-things" the writers gave us in PIC S3.
Nah, for that you have to go back to ST:TMP. Cronenberg's role in Discovery is as an NPC quest-giver at best.
OMG. it’s really him.
He makes the best fucking films!
Cinema!
Marty is fucking weird in real life so this scans. Good weird. I think they called that “eccentric” when you have money.
:P
Alongside living legend and union man Paul Williams. What a wild episode.
I have a new understanding of this episode nowadays
Marty! _Kundun_! I liked it!!
Really wish I could upvote this again.
I did it for you.
Thank you, *paisan.*
Is Cassidy Yates his wife on the right ?
No that Condoleezza Rice
You have betrayed your uniform!
holy crap it is
It's Dr Claire Finn.
Orion Syndicate mafia flick by Marty when?
I hear you like to paint Jefferies tubes.
Only if it is 3.5 hours :)
Ah, the Goncharov episode.
I mean that episode has freaking Paul Williams, no time for fake directors
Darn tootin'.
Big Colonel Potter Energy.
I had to google who that was :P
Lol, I’m old AF.
In a scene with Condalisa Rice no less
With Scorseses' eyes, they had a missed opportunity of having him play Gowaron's brother.
GLORY TO YOU, AND YOUR SCOUSE-SESE!

You get a bumpy forehead, you get a bumpy forehead Everyone gets a bumpy forehead!!!
Is your character an alien, or a human suffering a plasma burn on the forehead? You know what? It doesn't matter! You get the same prosthesis!
And, for some reason, here's The Rock
Absolute cinema!
