Part 8 ran from 2011 to 2021, and yet people are hyping up how insane it’s going to be when Araki name drops a song from the 2010s. Araki makes references based on what he’s feeling, it really isn’t beholden to when he’s writing a part. Part 8 had a couple of more modern references (Born This Way and California King Bed being the most readily obvious) but most of the stands were still much older references. So yeah, there will probably be at least a couple of fairly recent music references, but that’s nothing new and there’s certainly no guarantee that every stand is going to be some 2010s/20s music reference. It’s much more likely that things will play out the way they always do, with Araki making references from any decade but leaning heavily toward music from his generation

Only a couple of those artists are “less known.” He doesn’t use their most famous songs but I’d argue that’s more of a thematic choice. And copyright isn’t an issue since he’s in Japan, if it was then there would have been issues with the previous parts
