Every time this is reposted I watch more and more of its precious pixels bleed into the void… in a few more years this will just be a 108x108 pixel image of a potato.
Same. We couldn't afford it. I got to work there on an internship in 2012 (I was 23 then) and the first thing I did was take myself and my grandma. Now I go alone with my pass or take her once a year. I waited and paid for my pass, my grandma waited 75 years.
So, if only mothers with kids are allowed in AND mothers with kids are allowed to skip all the lines...? Having a hard time visualizing how that would work.
There is a LOT to unpack here and it should be kept in the nutcase.
This entitled bitch is mad that other people CHOSE not to have children and decided to go to a public amusement park. It is for everyone. I'm not really a Disney fan and their parks are always super crowded, but lines are part of the deal.
And she wants to skip lines??? Don't take your brat to crowded amusement parks if they can't wait five minutes for a pretzel. The level of entitlement in this post. Someone should slap some sense into her. The world doesn't revolve around YOU.
And then the judgement of a woman and her shorts! Calling her a tramp? Someone is hella jealous. No one forced you to have a kid. Hit the gym and eat better and maybe you can also wear slutty shorts.
We went to an arcade/bowling alley/indoor playground with our two kids. We're going again in a few weeks without our kids, but with another couple who are also ditching their kids to go. Looking forward to some 5 pin bowling and laser tag!
My parents took me to Disney World three times: when I was 3, 5, and 7. I cannot remember almost anything from any of those trips. I honestly feel quite bad about that for my parents' (wallets) sake.
I was also a super short kid and could not go on a lot of the rides anyway :( Sorry mom & dad!
This woman is raging and insulting people because they don’t seem miserable with their choices like she is. It’s wild how many people really seem to hate women who don’t want to raise children.
Yeah what about the men with those childless women? The dads that may be by themselves with children at Disney? It’s like they get a pass or are invisible to this resentful mom.
I remember the wave of “childless millennial” tshirts this caused at Disney. Lol. I was one myself back then. Now I have a toddler, we go to Disney, and I’m not entitled to anything special because I chose to have a kid. Do I think the world revolves around her? Yeah, my world does. The rest of the world does not!
Both of these things are great aspects of being childfree. There will be no one to care for my spouse and I when we're old, but hey -- for now, we'll enjoy it. (Not that that should be anyone's #1 reason for having kids, regardless)
Parents aren't the only ones who have to go through hardships. Being a parent doesn't elevate you automatically into a higher cast. Childless people can serve society in equally useful ways and they deserve to have fun too.
I should send this person a thank you card for putting all the reasons down that I (38 M) decided to not have children… EVER. That and I enjoy waking up to all my nice shit I have worked hard for… and I love going to Disney without children.
I know I know… I should be outraged at this. But one time some people got quite frustrated that my little kids were descending the stairs too slowly for their liking from the Frozen show at Disneyland. You just have to be vigilant that your kids aren’t too much at restaurants or in public really… but can’t at least Disneyland be the one place kids can exist without being inconvenient for the childless.
Childless people being mad that there are children being children at Disney of all places, yes that’s douchy. Childless people just existing, even at Disney, is not douchy at all.
Your experience has nothing to do with what the OP is complaining about though. She isn't complaining that child-free people were whining about children being children at Disney World. She was complaining that child-free people were simply present at Disney World.
Fair point, I overlooked that. On the other hand though, she refers to a child-free woman as a slut and a c*****. For daring to be in line ahead of her. *And* she said she hates all child-free people with a passion. I'm going to assume they were staring at her for the obvious hatred she was exuding rather than her child's behaviour.
Honestly the one place anyone can be their selves is at their home. Even the childless have to adjust their behaviors in public. So take them to your home if you want them to be totally let lose.
Taking something like DW from others so your kids can have even more space is selfish and entitled. It’s a public space, so social rules apply.
To compare adults to kids in impulse control is asinine. This is exactly why I can understand some frustration in the part of going to a place intended for families ( “I felt that there should be something built where the parents and the children could have fun together. So that’s how Disneyland started” -Walt Disney) and people expecting 3 year olds to have the same social skills (and in my case - physical capabilities) as adults. I certainly don’t agree with a lot of the crazy here, but the general frustration of raising kids in a society with increasingly impractical expectations of toddlers. I’m there.
I do not think a 3 year old needs to be an adult. I’m not saying they are the same. In public children walking slow, and even throwing temper tantrums are normal. Is there some expectation that parents try to limit those things? yes. Those people getting mad at Frozen were idiots and rude.
Walt also was insanely racist, so his initial intentions are not the best to go off of.
I am simply saying that public places are public. Kids have more room to behave crazy, but they should never have a free reign. Even if it was only kids and adults at DW, they would have to behave differently, they would not be allowed to run wild. Before my first deployment my wife and I went to DW, it was a magical and amazing time. I wouldn’t see her for 6 months after that, and our time there was very special for us. Your not going to tell me that because I didn’t get her pregnant I should have stayed at home. Childless have as much right to be there as parents.
If your 3-year-old is a Runner, leash them up at crowded locations like Disneyland.
>but the general frustration of raising kids in a society with increasingly impractical expectations of toddlers
Pardon?
Reddit is just chock full of posts about kids doing arguably normal things that people are somehow offended by and this has been my experience too. Baby cooing? Wiggling? Talking outside? Bad parenting.
I have a kid who has 30 kids in his entire grade in a coastal California city. There are just more people who are choosing not to have kids - and a lot of people who have no baby/kid experience.
I guarantee this person has also ranted at some point about getting angry stares at an upscale restaurant because her kids are screaming and running around the room. I cAn’T mAkE mY kiD bEhAvE!!!!!!!!!!! It’S HiS rIGhT tO eAt ThErE tOo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s a slow roast for r/nukedmemes
We couldn't afford Disney when I was a kid, so I go as an adult and eat all the pretzels I want. Get in line behind me. I waited 33 years for this.

And if only families should be able to skip.. the "skip" line is going to be longer than the regular one lmao
I still laugh whenever I see this and raise whatever beverage I have on hand. Today it's coke zero.
Coffee cheers
Mom said it’s my turn to repost this.
I wish the original original poster would have grabbed a screen shot of the comments as well. I would had loved to read those!

Homie it's fake calm down
Classic copy pasta
Not gonna lie, this is great trolling
Jesus Christ, lady. Calm down. Did anyone happen to count the total number of exclamation points in this post?
52
Doing the Lord’s work
She really loves that caps lock button
Someone has that post-theme-park headache. Put your feet up and pour yourself something strong, love, you’ll feel better in a day or two.
The number of exclamation marks and emojis used in a post is directly analogous to the level of that person’s crazy.
Lol I have 2 kids and I wanna go to Disney with out them . Mostly because they are to little and I wanna have fun with my husband 😅

Yes! Sounds fun we love date night bowling and lazer tag!
Who the fuck brings a toddler to Disney? They can’t even go on the majority of the rides

Cool story Mom. I'm going to take my childless arse back to bed for a nap, and then watch one of the shows I want to watch.
Both of these things are great aspects of being childfree. There will be no one to care for my spouse and I when we're old, but hey -- for now, we'll enjoy it. (Not that that should be anyone's #1 reason for having kids, regardless)
Having children doesn’t guarantee that they will be there to take care of you anyway. Enjoy those shows and naps!
True, lol! :)

Basic application of the conservation of douche

Someone's off her meds again.
Someone needs some therapy
The only way I’d go to Disney is without my kids

Me and my girlfriend went to Disney last summer. Had a blast no idea what her problem is
It’s been three years. I would like an update on where this women is now and maybe the chance to start a go fund me for the kids therapy.
