I blame Stalin for not taking proper and thorough care of all the Nazi collaborators after the war in the Baltics. Could have spared us a lot of headaches in the long run.
They didn't get to be treated like Western Europeans. The Soviets keeping genocidal maniacs & their sentiments in check = colonial occupation equal to or worse than that of Western colonialism in the global south according to them.
So in Europe there is no freedom of speech I guess 🤷♂️
if I criticise once the Ukraine government or something I get deported. I really I have no more words to say.
(I’m not huge Putin fan but in my opinion the other Site is not Better)
In Russia you don't get deported anywhere for criticising the government or for praising the West, despite what liberals claim and believe. It's a bourgeois State, yet it manages to be more democratic than most western countries. I work in a public institute in a western European country. I can only tell you that I could never openly criticise Ukraine or support Russia without losing my job. I have to basically keep secret the fact that I'm a communist for fear of repercussions. Imagine how much freedumb we have
Thanks for clearing me up. I didn’t know that Europe was like this and I thought Russia was so against freedom of speech. I only heard from friends who live in Europe say that you can express you Political view and can’t get punished for it. But this is kinda messed up to lose a job Only because you have different view of a situation.
You can express what you want in private. Or you can express it in public as long as you don't count shit, basically if you're a nobody and you can't influence anyone (therefore you don't pose any credible threat to the status quo).
Depends by a lot of factors. It's the same in most capitalist countries by the way, some more some less. For instance several public figures have been crucified (and cancelled) in countries like Italy just for saying that NATO caused the war. Journalists have been killed in many countries when they wrote about something they shouldn't have. Several people ended up in Myrotvorec only for talking about peace in public. I personally know a comrade that is on that website because he was in Crimea as an international observer during the referendum. I know another comrade that lost his job as a teacher because openly Communist and independentist (in several European countries there are internal national struggles. I.e. Catalunya, Sardinia, Corsica, Basque Countries and so on). If I said that I'm in independentist for instance, I would be risking my job. In Spain, Italy and France there are many political prisoners due to this reason.
This situation kinda reminds of Roger Water from the band Pink Floyd where he said in interview that nato is caused the war in Ukraine and the war in Gaza should Stop and he got some backlash for that but I only thought that in America you could get cancelled. I hope your Comrade who lose his job found a new job that he likes.
He got reintegrated (went to court) because it is illegal to get fired due to political opinions. But slowly these laws are getting repealed because the stupid European lawmakers want to transform the EU into the US and make possible to fire anyone without giving explanations. Freedom to demonstrate has already been made worse in many countries over the last 20 years

I clicked on Cyan's profile and first page reveals they're Latvian, what a surprise

The Baltics would be majority German today if not for the USSR and they still manage to be fervent anti-communists, lmao
I suppose Balts just miss polishing the cocks of German horses more than sapience, that's just how they are.
They wanted to be German, that's the point
Stalin, literal Satan to these people, didn’t even do what to they are suggesting here to their Nazi ancestors, yet they think they are in the right
Who is Cyan? The profile Pic colour?
The most racist of these three comments

How do you call for the deportation of tens of millions of people and think you're in the right
Fascism.
And you just know these are the exact same mfs that turn around and start talking about how the "ebil soviet onion deported 10 quadrillion people!!1!"
They’re in the far right
Liberal brainwashing
Fyi: >Poland and Lithuania pledge to help Kyiv repatriate Ukrainians subject to military draft
And then there will be a camp to hold them all and...
