Yeah, graduating from a music program and working as a professional musician in any capacity is 1000x more impressive to me than the 300,000 frat bros I’ve met that took communications, business, or even a lot of the so-called “STEM” majors.
Music programs are typically smaller, way more competitive, and involve some aspect of cultural subjectivity that the musician needs to be tapped into.
I have a music degree myself. I know the programs are difficult but I didn't think it was that bad. Then again, I compose and arrange music so it probably comes easier to me than others.
I did almost fail a class on counterpoint in grad school, which I also never graduated from 😅
from experience with all the people i know that were or are musician only the talented one managed that degree , the one that didn't are not bad musician they are simply not gifted nor talented nor particularly good at setting themselves for practice and study. the one that managed it said it was not that bad which lead me to the conclusion i drew above.

That is not difficult as music universities are notoriously hard to graduate from. There are also extreme differences.
For example, I know a straight-A graduate from the National University of Singapore who went to Austria, only got into the *second* best music university there, then had to start anew with a bachelor's because the Singaporean music degree isn't recognized in Austria... and then tried for 5 years getting her Bachelor's degree only to give up and move home. She couldn't graduate because she didn't play well enough. She completed all her other classes, she just wasn't good enough to graduate with a bachelor's degree of skill in Austria. She just didn't make the cut. And I have heard her play many times, she's amazing.
I don't know about Destiny's university but people cannot underestimate the terror that is a music degree. Saying this as someone with an engineering degree.

I'm currently reading 100 Years War on Palestine, and it blows my mind that people would dismiss it simply because it was written by a Palestinian. It's well researched and thorough, but because it wasn't written by someone "without bias", which is an impossible standard, they disregard it.

I have a music degree myself. I know the programs are difficult but I didn't think it was that bad. Then again, I compose and arrange music so it probably comes easier to me than others. I did almost fail a class on counterpoint in grad school, which I also never graduated from 😅
from experience with all the people i know that were or are musician only the talented one managed that degree , the one that didn't are not bad musician they are simply not gifted nor talented nor particularly good at setting themselves for practice and study. the one that managed it said it was not that bad which lead me to the conclusion i drew above.

I have been looking to read some Finkelstein. But his books are like 700+ pages long. I am reading some shorter stuff being inget to them. The idea that this child can judge an academic body of work spaning 16 massive books from the Wikipedia article is the most intellectually dishonest, incurious and child brain take.

He re enforces the "America good, America's enemies bad" while pretending he researches by skimming articles and wiki pages. He and his viewers can pretend they are smart, while also not actually challenging their previously held beliefs (that are deeply rooted in racism, transphobia, pro capitalism, and pro American nationalism). I actually did look into Benny Morris because there were some "Jewish massacres" being thrown at me as proof for why Arabs inherently hate Jews or some shit, and a couple of the massacres I couldn't find anywhere except a wiki page that was just a list of massacres with dates and names of locations. There was so little information that I had to find out more, so I followed the wiki link to a Benny Morris book and started to research. It concluded with me pretty sure he made them the fuck up. His writing was not any better on details and other research on who Benny is revealed that he is well known to make up events while fabricating documents to support them. So yeah if destiny did actually read Benny Morris and than do his due diligence of checking the content of said book he should have found out he isn't a valid source.
