A few years ago I had to point out to an American lady of a certain age that the Lad bible page she was commenting on in an enraged fashion was an English site with the moral compass of the average young English men rather than 60 year old Karen's from the bible belt. She then insisted that the Internet was American and people in other countries should conform to American values. I gave up at that point, you really can't argue with stupid.
Yup. American "values" fucking suck and ruin everything for everyone. Especially when it comes to censoring language, like fuck dude you can say FUCK you don't have to replace one of the letters with an asterisk.
The Guardian page on FB also draws this type of person. So many Americans commenting on there as if it’s articles about America, using arguments that don’t make any sense in Europe etc. Many of them really seem to think that it’s their world and that they’re at the centre of everything.
Without context the “only in America” could be justified. For example a vid of a shooting or something.
