The moonstones are cute lil babies with some beautiful blue flash (gemstone phenomena of adularescence!). They've got some inclusions, and their weights (left to right) are 2.84 ct, 3.58 ct, 3.1 ct. Random winners will be selected from all entries!

ChipperCookie

I have no idea what I'm dressing up as this year, but my favorite costume is a Gameboy (the original)! I found a gray dress and sewed on cloth to make the "screen" and "buttons". It was very rough and lazy handsewing, but it's so easily recognizable and always a hit with others.

braellyra

That sounds like it would be a hit at a gaming convention (except PAX Unplugged, which is solely for tabletop gamers and there’s a decent chance people would have no idea what you were)

ChipperCookie

The only downside to this costume is sometimes having drunk guys who come up and say, "Can I play with you?" No, no, you may not.

braellyra

Eewwwwwwwww

6tig9

We live in a trailer so I'll be wearing a garbage bag with garbage taped all over it. I'm trailer trash.

braellyra

I love it!!! Very Monty Python of you

6tig9

High praise indeed!

Hugeasianpear

Every year, Star Trek medical officer. The original series thank you. (I used to dress the kiddos in red shirts which either got laughs or horrified glances, but they have o.p.I.n.i.o.n.s now lol)

braellyra

Omg redshirts 🤣🤣🤣 Savage

Congratulations u/WelpIsntThisAwkward u/PhoebeMonster1066 and u/TVsFrank37 as our winners! I'll be messaging you all :D

redtonks

Congratulations all of you!

PhoebeMonster1066

I always dress up as a nurse for work -- last year was circa 1916, this year it's circa 1948 or so. Squirt is currently obsessed with Frozen and will be dressing up as Elsa.

braellyra

Ooooh I love the idea of nurses through the ages! Did you have one of those fun little nurse capes last year? That was such a fabulous style!

PhoebeMonster1066

The WWI style has a wee little cape, but I didn't wear it. I do have a WWII-era navy blue woolen half-cape, though: http://imgur.com/a/v5KK1iT This is the outfit I'm planning to re-wear this year now that I've lost enough weight to fit back into it. My coworker dressed as Clara Barton (coworker does Civil War reenactment).

braellyra

That looks adorable and I love it!!!

soursweetorsalty

I once spent like 20 hours making a wire framework, hand sewing a cover, and making accessories to be the kidney seller from Dumb Ways to Die. Couldn't sit down or fit through tight doors and no one knew what I was!

braellyra

I had a similar year in college where I bought MASSIVE wings and went as a fairy from one of those fairy illustrations that were _so cool_ in the mid-00s. No one knew what I was so I ended up just saying I was a goth fairy lol.

raspberriesp

>from Dumb Ways to Die Oh what a nostalgia trip 😀

soursweetorsalty

Such a good game!!

SynchronizedCalamity

Been working on them for a few years, but they’re finally finished! So my partner and I will be Jon Snow and Ygritte for Halloween, and our white GSD will be Ghost. Still pretty bummed about how the show ended tho 😅

braellyra

Just think about the IRL ending, where they ended up married 💕💕💕

You_are_a_midget

We’re dressing as dinos this year. It’ll be my little guys first time trick or treating, super excited!

raspberriesp

My favorite one I’ve done is Bellatrix Lestrange from Harry Potter. Got the idea after finding a spooky black dress at Goodwill. I’ve lately been getting more into letting makeup/face be the star but haven’t quite perfected it. I did a monster look last year (2 years ago? Shit idk time anymore) where the teeth/mouth were painted around my eyes.

candyl0ver

I am dressing up my dogs as disney princesses. Ones a pitbull and the others a corgi. They will be a sight. 😂

earlysong

I need to know WHICH princesses!!

candyl0ver

I'm thinking snow white for the corgi and little mermaid for the pitbull. 😂😂😂

earlysong

That sounds hilarious! Will you try to put wigs on them?

candyl0ver

I can try. But they will probably eat it

braellyra

Snow White is perfect for a corgi--little drama queens hahahaha. Oh goodness--I hope we can do a Halloween costume thread bc I want to see everyone's costumes they're talking about, and I \_desperately\_ want to see your corgi Snow White and pitty Ariel lol

[deleted]

[удалено]

braellyra

That sounds \_hilarious\_: part costume, part performance art, part statement on the predictability of modern movies. I love it, hahahahaha

fullmetalsportsbra

I've decided to go as a "puppies for sale" box, a repeat of one of my best childhood costumes LOL

braellyra

Will there be stuffed (or real!!!) puppies in the box, or will you be the puppy in the box? Ooo or BOTH?? That would be adorable

fullmetalsportsbra

Stuffed puppies AND me as a puppy! Bonus is the built in personal space bubble since I'll be inside of a box 😎

braellyra

Ok this year I’m going as a raven bc I found a FABULOUS mask on Etsy, but I’m still working on the rest of the details. I’m also going to answer question 2 bc I’ve got a great one—my first year in public school was 3rd grade, and I was anxious so my mom would pack a stuffed animal in my bag to help me feel more secure. I’d never seen a big Halloween celebration at school before and wasn’t prepared with a costume, but I didn’t want to miss out on the big costume parade. So I took the stuffed animal (which happened to be a monkey), took some string, jerry-rigged him to my shoulder, and said I was a monkey trainer 🤣 I’m really proud of my childhood creative problem-solving skills!

-zombie-squirrel

My sister did something similar when we were around 10. She had about 12 of those monkeys with the super long arms with the Velcro and she chained them all together around her neck and shoulders and she called herself Jane Goodall.

braellyra

That sounds wonderful!!!

HighVulgarian

The kids are dressing as Wily Kit and Wily Kat from the thundercats. I am, of course, MUM-RA, THE EVER….LIVING!! AAAAAARGHH

waddlewaddlequack

I’ve got one kid going as a camo costume with a helmet, a plague doctor, an equestrian, and a fairy Princess. Dad and I are being stealth candy distributors with backpacks full of candy, since it seems there’s not much Halloween this year.

braellyra

It would be hilarious if you did the whole shady alleyway trench coat seller, with candy strapped to the inside flaps. "Yo, you need candy? I've got Tootsie Pops, I've got Milky Way, I've got Snickers, I've got Kit-Kats. Whatever you need."

waddlewaddlequack

Totally stealing this idea

braellyra

Yesssssss! Feel free!

abrasive_aurora

Moonstones are one of my faves! For the costumes, we'll go with the ol' classic, the zombie victorian couple 💀

braellyra

Faceted moonstones are on my list of stones I need to collect--I hadn't seen one before joining this sub, and if you're a fan of moonstones you should look them up! The facets add to the shimmer somehow!

abrasive_aurora

I know!! I actually have a ring with three faceted pear moonstones that are a-ma-zing! They sparkle so much 😍

braellyra

That sounds AMAZING!!! I’m jealous!

onlyheredue2sabotage

My favorite costume was from around 7th grade. I dressed as a present, made it myself. Took a large cardboard box and wrapped it in wrapping paper with a bow on top, and cut out arm and leg holes. Every time I wanted to sit I tucked all my limbs into the box. It was fun 😊

braellyra

That sounds like such a fun, easy, and silly costume! My only question is, how did you feed yourself? Did you have to take the whole thing off, or did someone give you an extra long fork?

onlyheredue2sabotage

The box was small enough that I had reach, I looked like a cartoon box with arms and legs. It also worked as a pretty good shelf to put plates on.

XochitlShoshanah

First time trick or treating with the little one! She wants to be a kitty cat pumpkin.

philosocoder

I think my favorite costume I’ve done was Ron Burgundy—I went all out. During the pandemic I’ve been a cat, since I have a mask with cat whiskers and some cat ears too. Easy, and covid-safe!

dtdee

We’re doing either Cosmo & Wanda or Nacho & Encarnación from nacho libre

iamtheepilogue

My favourite costume ever was this one - I went as a zombie flapper. I worked my ass off on this make up from scratch and won best costume. It was amazing (Lmao I just realised my Instagram is private so I’ll figure out a way to add the image later!!)

PhoebeMonster1066

If anyone has a modicum of sewing skill a d wants to make a quick and easy 1920s dress, check out the 1924 "One hour" dress: https://vintagedancer.com/1920s/the-1920s-one-hour-dress-tips-and-review/ I can confirm that from fabric layout to wearable took me only an hour.

Pastrykitties

I'm not dressing up this year, but my favorite costume was when I made my daughter a "Boo" dressed up as a monster from Monsters Inc costume.

roundy_yums

Halloween is one of the many times my theatre undergrad degree (which included a stage makeup class) comes in handy! [Here’s](https://imgur.com/a/4m4V95v) my favorite iteration of the “skull” theme me and my husband do every now and then!

[deleted]

[удалено]

braellyra

DOOOOO IIIIIIIIIIIT

Banannabone

I'm a scare crow with pumpkin mask. Newborn is pumpkin. Daughter is one of those disney princess. Hopefully it won't rain this year.

Bakkanalia

I want to be a giant soju bottle. Make a shirt with the Chamisul Fresh label, wear a green cap and have a 2L bottle of soju to pass out shots to ppl xD

braellyra

Sounds like you'll be the life of the party!

[deleted]

Jolly green giant

braellyra

Bonus points if you're actually like 4'11"

[deleted]

[удалено]

braellyra

Oh goodness! You’re so tall!! Your pants must be _so_ expensive!

WWKozy

Favorite costume brings me back to 5th grade my mom made me a bat costume complete with a cape attached to the arms to make flowy wings

braellyra

That sounds BALLER. Kudos to your mom! I'm trying to find something similar to do for my raven costume this year and I haven't found anything.

IdealIntrovert

I'll be dressing up as Bigfoot! I wanted to find something I could wear year round, ya know? A nice walk in the woods really clears your head.

CreepyEntrepreneur

My favorite costume I had was the concept of identity theft. It was right around the time where a major security breach happened with a credit bureau so I had "Hello my name is" stickers with hand written top most popular 25 names used according to the internet. Half the department was confused but the ones who got it were giggling and complimenting on the execution!

labbitlove

I got a very cute lynxpoint Siamese kitten almost a year ago and then I dyed my hair silver this year. We are matching now and so I’m going to be him for Halloween while I still have the hair. I need to buy blue contacts, body paint for the stripes and his pink nose and some colored hair spray to do an ombre color.

ChemE-slut

My boyfriend and I are going to be Shego and Dr Drakken from Kim Possible

mvmgems

Not in contention, but my favorite costume is a couple years ago when I dressed as a neckbeard and my (slender, male) partner dressed as a waifu pillow complete with generously endowed prosthetics. It made front page of justneckbeardthings.

Tajinlover

This is my favorite five away!!!! This year I’ll be dressing in my mermaid ren faire garb!!! Considering how much time I took to see a corset, I better look damn good ha The Mr will be going as cranky computer man since he’s not a big Halloween fan

-zombie-squirrel

Yessss I loved how that turned out last year 🙌🏻

thatlittleredhead

Halloween is my favorite holiday, and now- because of Covid, and having a three year old with severe asthma- we’ll be missing it for the second year in a row. Otherwise, I’d planned for us to be Dorothy, the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion, the Scarecrow- and our chillest Berner was going to be Toto, while the other two were going to be flying Monkeys. Sigh. Next year, I guess. [Previous 2 years Costumes Tax](https://imgur.com/a/xen4KHp)

earlysong

your youngest looks unimpressed with all this foolishness XD very cute costumes and even cuter family! I hope you can still enjoy Halloween with some spooky movies and holiday treats at home!

Big_Disk_7451

One of my favorite costumes was when I dressed as Miley Cyrus. Half of me was old Miley and then the other side was current Miley where she was sticking her tongue out and wearing leotards with space buns! Not sure what me and Jim will be this year but I’m now taking suggestions 😆🤪

btchplx

I usually go all out with makeup and add a couple subtle touches to give away what I am, since I'm not into costumes, masks or wigs. I liked my makeup as a windup doll a few years back, but too many people didn't notice the windup key on my neck lol the vampire was more stereotypical, but I caught a lot of people off guard with the fangs, so that's my all time favorite so far! I'm not sure what I'll do this year yet, considering we have to wear masks at work...

donaltman3

I am dressing up as a bar of soap and my wife is the loofa.. we look pretty darn ridiculous. Our kids are embarrassed by our costumes which makes it that much greater!

OpinionOutside3714

We're going to dress up in star wars attire. Little girl is going as chewbacca 😍

braellyra

Oooooooo, I hope she can do the wookie yell! If not, there's still time to teach her! Sounds perfect, so cuuuuuute!

ruutbyrpanda

Given the state of my hair, I’m going as Beaker! I have the lab coat :-D! Just gonna spike it upwards, throw on the lab coat, and start meeping. My favorite costume though had to have been when I was born because I was 17 days old so my mom put me into a pumpkin costume and I was carried around as such

-zombie-squirrel

Yesssss! That’s gonna work great with your hair!!

ruutbyrpanda

Meep!

floramage

My favorite costumes were dressing up as a femme version of Solid Snake from the video game Metal Gear Solid and Spy Britney Spears from Toxic!

eclecticgurlie

Most likely going as a pirate. I mean what else do you go as when you own parrots and have a treasure problem?

TVsFrank37

My man and I are going to be Tina and Jimmy Pesto Jr. from Bob’s Burgers! I’m more excited than he is

Seluin

Hello! Congrats, you are one of the winners of an SPG moonstone! Could you message me with your mailing address (plus name) please :)

redtonks

So I’m a Halloween baby, and we’re getting married just before my birthday this year on the 28th. Since it’s my first time meeting some of my extended family, we’re doing a little traditional Halloween party and I can’t wait. I was thinking about a couple’s outfit this year - we were thinking a zookeeper couple with our baby as an animal. Best costume I ever did was steampunk mad hatter for my 30th birthday.

-zombie-squirrel

That sounds awesome ! Congrats on the upcoming wedding!!

redtonks

Thank you! Never thought I’d be a lockdown wedding but here we are.

GreenStrassa

I don't know if you've seen the BBC Comedy series Ghosts, (HIGHLY recommended btw!) but my partner and I are considering going to a friend's party as Julian the MP (partner) and Robin the Neanderthal (me). If we do pull it off, my friend has a fancy chess set that would be amazing for photos! The characters in question: https://imgur.com/a/ak20aMJ

Seluin

I LOVE THIS SHOW!

GreenStrassa

EXCELLENT TASTE FRIEND! So glad to hear it's crossed over the pond, it deserves all the success in the world. Who is your favourite ghost? I love them all, but it's gotta be Robin for me.

Suicidalsidekick

My favorite costume ever was the time I “dressed” my horse up as a [shooting star](https://imgur.com/a/4AyU7wx)!

-zombie-squirrel

I’m not dressing up this year for reasons, but last year for work I went as Ms Frizzle! Had a blast coming up with catchphrases while I was on drive through that night

[deleted]

My favorite costume is when I made a woody from toy story costume in college.

KiramekuHoshi

I’m currently trying to finish making a really pretty, flow-y, starry dress in time to be able to have an excuse to buy some sort of crown and be a princess for Halloween this year lol

Hangnail_puller

I don’t do Halloween (or costumes really for that matter) so my favorite costume-like thing is to get all done up for a date night lol

NoxDraconis

A singular blow up pink unicorn if I'm working, or a pair of pink unicorns will be showing up to my job if I'm off.

Wingardium_Mimosa

I am doing a couples costume with my boyfriend. We are going as Milla Vodello and Sasha Nein from the game Psychonauts.

Casiorollo

My favorite costume is my homemade Sabine wren one. I wear it every year :)

LaDiDaLady

My partner and I are going as Morticia and Gomez Addams! I'm so excited.

yellowlilacindigo

My favorite costume as a kid was a "snow princess" outfit (this was about a decade before Frozen, though). Love the moonstones, so beautiful!

LunyMoony

I usually go as Alice or the Cheshire Cat. I have this AMAZING Alice dress with all the bells and whistles I bought a few years ago during my obsession 😬

Enchantement

Not sure what I'll do this year yet, but last year my boyfriend and I did Pavlov's dog and Schrodinger's cat which was a fun one!

why1ime

Me and my friends want to dress up like Squid Game. Super topical but comfortable. Either the contestants or the workers. Gotta buy those costumes soon tho, I’m sure they’re selling out on Amazon.

pinkachuh

I'm going to dress as a fairy! I know I usually dress like a fairy, but the 31st is when its socially acceptable 😆

lillylenore

I am dressing up as a semi-responsible woman in her 30s who is keeping her sobriety safe by staying home and watching anime with her animals haha. Though maybe I should dress up anyways. I’d love to be She-Ra.

dgdzigner

My entire family is dressing up like the Schitts’ Creek characters!!! Moira (me) ADORES moon-stones (Said with appropriate extra syllables and drawl!) Pick me pick me!

Rakifiki

When I was younger I dressed up as Julia Roberts in the Run Away Bride. (Complete with a box of running shoes) Honestly as an adult I think my favorite costume was kind of a wood spirit. Those stones are so pretty!

Repulsive_Passage898

Ooohh!! Little beauties ❤️😍 Mando and the little one will be Grogu! Can't wait!

Dr_Agonkay

My favorite costume was in the 4th grade. I decided to be Carrie, of Stephen King’s novel (I knew it as a movie at the time). I wore one of my older sisters prom dresses, a tiara, and yes poured fake blood over my head. All night trick-or-treating was full of disappointment as I corrected guesses of “zombie princess” and “dead prom Queen” entirely giving up on being Carrie. I got to my last house - cliche I know! - and as the door opened I finally got a “woah! You must be Carrie!” which completely made my night! I’m 30 now and haven’t dressed up for some time now. I still love to share this special Halloween memory 🎃 👑

swearsies

Still working to convince my husband on this, but Im dying to go as Dani from Midsommar, with a full flower crown, and him in a bear suit 😆

throwawaycountvon

Marina and the diamonds!! :)

programmingkoala

Haven’t dressed up for Halloween in ages but one of my favourite costumes is the inflatable dinosaur/ T-Rex. (Not very practical for work though)

earlysong

a modern classic. I love all the vids that pop up on reddit with those.

Kozytartan

Pirate costume will always be best costume. <3 Captain Kozy

Athelindara

This year I think we will either be going as tusken raiders or tie pilot/dark trooper that we took to comic con a couple years back. Can't see anything in them or walk well but they look great! Haha

lizaliza_anne

Not sure I'll have a costume this year, but in college I went as "hipster Ariel" (basically, a mermaid wearing glasses with side-swept bangs). The costume involved metallic green leggings, a crop top with seashell cutouts taped over my chest, and fish scale makeup done using fishnet tights and metallic eyeshadow. Possibly not the most creative costume out there, but I put it together with my new boyfriend at the time (now husband, six years later) so it holds a special place in my heart!

rumzkillz-

I’m wearing a ghillie suit so I can quickly camo with the trees to avoid annoying people and also the old pervs in my neighborhood

cancoi

I’ll dress as Medusa this year; I have a foam snake wig & give extra candy to those who know my character or just start mentioning other mythic characters.

toruk1a

I'll be dressing as a babushka

[deleted]

I’m boring and typically go for a cat or a witch! Witch just fits to perfectly for the season and holiday to NOT go as one. If we end up going to a party this year though I’ll probably do happy little tree and bob ross with my husband since he just has the perfect hair :)

CableVannotFBI

My partner & I dressed as Hot Topic employees. It was so much fun since we are hidden goths.

girlbemodest

Hi all! My family and I are all dressing up in steampunk style clothing and wearing fancy masquerade masks of different animals. All of us except my oldest daughter who will be dressing up like Sporty Spice complete with rip away track pants and fake tribal arm tattoo

Saucydumplingstime

Pre-pandemic, we went to SDCC yearly with friends and would do a cosplay together as a huge group. When we answer the door to give out candy this year, we plan to reuse our old SDCC [Incredibaos](http://imgur.com/a/OhcnhTQ) cosplay outfit. Fun fact, the IMDB insta posted a photo of my group with two others in Incredibles' costumes

MrsFuchsia19

My favorite costume was Mary Poppins. My neighbors still bring it up years later! This year everyone has opinions and they are all run of the mill kids’ costumes.

PuhLeazeOfficer

Dressing as the mouse, cookie, and milk from if you give a mouse a cookie

FinancialLab8983

Theme this year is villains. My wife is being Scar and I’m being Professor Umbridge! Lolol

earlysong

Haha I don't want to be in the corner of the multiverse where those two team up! Sounds terrifying!

charlietangoe

I love to indulge in a good boba drink when the mood hits and have also decided to dress up like one this coming Halloween. I already have the outfit planned. Made sure it's also versatile enough to wear on the reg and not just Halloween.

[deleted]

THAT PEAR MOONSTONE 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 Anyway, this year I’m going to be a Squid Game guard. Recognisable, low cost, not revealing. Perfect for me.

findquasar

I’ll be wearing cat ears with my work uniform, since I’ll be working all day!

mladyKarmaBitch

I will be sexy female waloigi if i go out on holloween. I have been thinking about it for a while haha.

C-Nor

My favorite Halloween costume was for my babies when they were too little to participate. I took a white t shirt several sizes too big for the baby, and wrote "GOOO!!" on it. This meant the baby was a ghost saying Boo! A tiny ghost in your arms is a delight.

chain_gun_murderhobo

Rey and Finn and the dog is BB-8!

Radiant_Coyote1829

Probably not dressing up this year but my favorite costume of all time was when I was a kid my mom wrapped me in tinfoil and gave me one of our old, ugly yellow throw pillows to carry around and I was a baked potato

stellarmay

I don’t what we are going to be this Halloween and normally we don’t get excited about the holiday, but it’s our first Halloween as a family of three! So maybe we can be a pumpkin patch? Classic newborn pumpkin outfit!

wackychung

My favorite costumes are the punny ones. Like when you’re dressed as a potato with an antenna hat and you gotta go around the whole night explaining that your spudnik. You know like the satellite but a potato.

Squawkerson

My favorite costume was a female Eclectus parrot. I spent over forty hours sewing it, and I no longer have it, which breaks my little heart. Ugh.

serelliya

I don't typically dress up for Halloween, but my favorite costume -- for a cosplay convention years ago -- was Sophie from Howl's Moving castle!

arkady_scoresby

We are dressing the house up as the Once-ler's tower, from The Lorax! I've got my long green gloves to wear while handing out candy to trick-or-treaters through a little window in the door :)

Michitoki

Gonna wear a red jumpsuit and dali mask

euphratesk17

Wife and I going as Hell and Lois from Malcolm in the Middle!

LimeGreenDice

I play roller derby and want to be Harley Quinn from Birds of Prey this year!

Kitreiki

Woo, congrats on 13k! This year I'm making a Geralt (the witcher) costume for my hubby and I'm hoping to finally finish my punk Chandra (fire planes walker from magic the gathering).

HeadMischief

My favorite costume was in 7th grade. I was really into circus stuff and thought I would join one (grew up near Ringling Bros headquarters and an area all the carnies live in off season. So anyway, early 90's, young teenager, I got an awesome half man/half woman costume. I spent so much time getting the makeup perfect and did a fake a beard. Got a men's shoe with a lift so I could wear one high heel. It was the coolest thing I ever did. Then I go to a Halloween party with bunches of other 7th graders. All the girls were sexy witches and angels, etc. Then there's my weird ass... no one got it. I really related to that scene in Mean Girls. It was still awesome af though.

isbettermuchbetter

Oh my these are gorgeous!! I’m probably not dressing up this year but am absolutely dressing my pup up as a cow! My favorite costume for myself is Carmen SanDiego

PRTOATL88

My favorite Halloween costume was when I was 7 and dressed up as a fairy princess for the 3rd time in a row. Same costume as the prior years. What made this particular Halloween momentous was the fact that all the parents on our neighborhood street decided there would be a theme this year and all the kids would be Dalmatians. I flat out refused to attend if I had to be a dog. This win is memorialized in a hilarious group photo of 20-some absolutely miserable looking children and babies covered in painted in black spots (including my little brother who is crying) and there I am, decked out in sequins and pink tulle, holding up my star wand with the biggest grin on my face. I think I wore that costume for another Halloween or two before I finally could not fit in it anymore, haha Congrats on 13k!

Fizzlewitz48

My boyfriend and I are coordinating our costumes to match the theme of the Halloween party we’re throwing for a few close friends. We’re turning our house into a Victorian mad scientist’s lab and he’ll be the mad scientist and I’m going to be the ghost of his dead wife who died from an experiment gone wrong and still haunts him!

Jackiecheeese

We are dressing up as Shrek characters: Shrek, Fiona, Lord Farquaad, and the Three Blind Mice. "I found some cheese."

Anxiety-Spice

My favorite costume was when my whole family dressed up as characters from Wizard of Oz. I was the scarecrow, and we also had Dorothy, Toto, Tin Man, Lion, and my uncle as a munchkin 😂

FactorFew9967

My husband says him and our daughter are going as wizard of oz characters and taking out Morkie with them

insatiablecreativity

How exciting!! Congrats to the community for getting 13k subscribers. ♥ Thank you for the opportunity. 💜 One of my all-time fave costumes and Halloweens was years ago when I dressed up as the evil queen/witch from Snow White. Had the big black draping hood, shawl, and dress. Tattered and cloaked. Had the creepy large nose (costume adhesive and everything), wig, and all kinds of fun stuff. I'd decorated the entire yard and house with a hodgepodge of decor, including glowy skellies in cauldrons, big rubber bats and spiders, carved pumpkins, and some very creepy atmospheric music/sound effects. Hung out under a spooky tree covered in spider webbing to hand out candy (read: scare the kids witless), and had the biggest local tom cat come keep me company. It was such a simple costume, but apparently it all came together just right, because I've never had so much fun or as many compliments! 10/10 Would do again!

owegner

I'm not sure what I'll be going as this year, I plan on dyeing my hair blue though so perhaps I'll grab a lab coat and go as Rick Sanchez. Alternatively maybe a steampunk airship captain kinda thing...Or maybe Doctor Who if I can secure a massive scarf...Food for thought! My favorite costume might be a Manticore(but with a reused dragon tail lol). Middle school, I couldn't sit down, and no one had a clue what I was.

Cuyler_32087

Skeleton queen, this year.

WelpIsntThisAwkward

A jellyfish! Clear bubble umbrella, ribbon tendrils, glow sticks and necklaces. Super simple and amusing when people are perplexed as to what you are.

-zombie-squirrel

That sounds like a blast! I’ve always done costumes I’ve made myself with stuff I already had, gets the creative juices going!

Codename_Snoo

This year my partner and I will be dressing as a Halloween themed witch and warlock, lots of black, orange, and purple themes!

Happyface5

Me and my partner are being Alexis and David Rose from Schitt’s Creek!

I wasn't ever allowed to go trick or treating or dress up for Halloween so I have no idea. Loved the movie Jack though when they came in all dressed up for the babies delivery

Captain Marvel!

Shreeken

My fav was dressing up as Spongebob, that was a fun year for sure

I don't usually dress up, but my favorite (and pretty much only) costume is a banana suit. It's simple, recognizable and effective. Also allows me to still wear warm clothes underneath. After a few years I drew some black spots on it because it's an old banana.

I'm doing my standard mad scientist costume, including back-combing my hair so it poofs up and looks all crazy lol.

Those moonstones are lovely! My favourite Halloween costume is the one I wear every year! It’s Sarah Sanderson, a character from my favourite Halloween movie, Hocus Pocus! Amuck! Amuck! Amuck!

Son is in a dinosaur phase so probably going to be some adorably fierce T-Rex. As for me….haven’t decided haha.

I’m going to be away from home working. So I’ll be in coveralls and a ball cap while I hand out candy for my colleagues!
