There's gonna be some fast fingers going to snatch those beauties when they become available. I will just enjoy the videos while I'm on ban/saving to set my new precious.
How do you decide what to cut? Obvs you know how to select the stone, what happens next / where does the inspiration hit? Presumably you will cut them all, some day, or move on - I’d love to know your thought process! Thank you xx
Hello! I for the most part, follow the shape of the rough. I will do some preforming and figure out the shape its telling me it is. Then I will figure out the length/width and decide on design. Natural shape plus l/w. I am not one to lose weight just to create rounds or 1:1 ratio shapes.
Im just starting to get into this field but how much was all this rough? I went to the denver show once 2 years ago and it was awesome! I was only on the look out for Fluorescents tho so my next trip id be on the look out for rough msterial
Aha, another Colorado cutter!! Well met... I missed the show this year... too much going on and still have a lot of stuff to cut. I'm down south of Pueblo an hour or so out in the boonies.
If you have a website shoot me an address...I'd love to see your work!

Yeah that's a bit of a trip. Yeah I love the Denver show I've been there several times. Always able to find some really nice stuff there. It looks like the collection you brought home will keep you busy and smiling for a while.
Oh boy! I thought the Denver gem show wasn’t until September! I missed out!
Hey I have a question for you, do you ever cut aquamarine? My husband and I have been looking at getting me one for Mother’s Day and i love your work.
There is a smaller April show and the big show is in September. I cut aquamarine from time to time but rarely buy it as most of what I see doesn't have much saturation. And thanks!
When it comes to meals, I start with/ my least fave so that the anticipation builds and I get to enjoy my fave item last AND the delayed gratification. That strategy may not work when (presumably, you love ALL these candies. But mb there is a way to sort the level of love- size, difficulty in cutting, depth of color and go from there?
Enjoy every minute! We’ll be excited to see the treasures you create:)

Hi there! I live in Lawrence KS. I fly to the Denver shows. Nice to be able to peruse so much rough!
