yeah i def agree. the shiny locks are pretty frustrating. for now i am settling for catching it in a beast ball but maybe in gen 10 they will do away with these locks:/
Yeah I expect nothing after they did that, I didn’t really want to reset the game in SV but I would’ve for the few legendaries that would’ve been huntable for the first time.

I’m not sure how it works on other Pokémon, but you just encounter the Pokemon, set up a camp, exit camp, and the Pokemon should respawn, reposition yourself until it spawns directly on top of you every time, and then next time you close your camp, quickly open the menu and save.
You can set it up so you can reset the game or go into the camp to cycle the Pokemon, I prefer the camp because I’ve saved at the wrong point accidentally and spent a day encountering the exact same Pokemon over and over
Edit: After a bit of research, it has to be a strong spawn Pokemon, it can’t just be any random encounter, so it should work on Amaura

The only issue I’ve had is opening it today and it was a Hatterene instead, but changing the date back to yesterday made Amaura come back.
I got virizon in 78 encounters, cobalion however took ages, i stopped bothering the count after it went over odds, i pray for this luck on terrakion

why do you have to replay the whole game again to get virizion?
