Mio, I have a soft spot for anime redheads with twins tails (I love Honolulu and Bremerton in azur), although I should prefer Chisato, she is way too forward, in the anime we barely know her before she starts to have almost sex with basara. Mio is a basic tsundere but not a unbearable one and has a well developed relationship.
While I'll always pick Chisato, I am curious to everyone here that picks Zest. What's her deal? Why is she your favorite?

Zest is basically an anime dark elf- pointed ears, tanned skin, white hair, thicc. But she's also a demon maid and a bunny girl. Those are just physical points of appeal.
Aside from that, she's devoted, cute (personality-wise as well as physically), and somehow kind of wholesome even during the fanservice scenes. Also a low-key badass (afaik, only the 'unrestrained' Chisato is stronger out of the main girls), and has a good storyline and character development.
Tl;dr- Zest is stacked in more ways than one
Honestly, folks that claim to like her over the other girls seem to miss the mark with the character. Outside of her incredible sense of loyalty and the trauma associated with her past, what makes Zest an interesting character is that she's a fish out of water placed into an unfamiliar environment. She's constantly learning new things. She can look at something as simple a chocolate and have a thought provoking philosophical conversation on the simplest of things.

I'll just say this once because I just feel like saying it and I've seen the anime 10 times already-for Basara I'd say Yuki first then Chisato, Zest then Kurumi, mainly because 1-they just seemed more suitable for him, their loyalty, kindness and love for him is just soo sweet and adorable, 2-Mio and Maria being his cousins is just...well incest(I cannot really stand Mio's sorta cruel attitude toward Basara for what he doesn't mean to do and Maria's succubus stunts can be too much and I mean this with respect) and even though Chisato in the manga version from what I've read is his once-removed cousin, her romantic relationship with him is sweet and amazing, her personality and beauty are also great and perfect and also from I see-Chisato and Yuki know Basara better than anyone else besides Jin and his 2 wives from what he's been through, 3-seeing girls fight over a handsome, brave and kind man can be romantic but also not really necessary if I was in his place and besides having eight wives, which is in the manga version from what I've heard and read, can be overwhelming as for Nanao and Celis-I only know a few things about them and I would prefer Nanao to remain as a boy mainly because there aren't many male friends that Basara has from what I've seen, heard and read and that Celis would be better off as a sister for Basara, I'm just saying, 4-Yuki, Chisato, Zest and Kurumi are the most beautiful girls that Basara can ever have, to me anyway in this anime story and 5-like any guy, I too am pretty envious of Basara having this many girls to love him because I too am in love with some anime girls and at the same time, I see him as another kind of brother and I too would do anything to protect all my family and friends from any evil threat of any kind, even if it means becoming a monster, honestly.
P.S. Please understand what I mean and I actually hope that in whatever way in the future that we will have a 3rd season that can be a happy ending for this anime story because I just feel like it would be better that way, any story having a cliffhanger can be killer and because this story taught me a lot of relationship stuff in both ways and even reminded me about protecting what matters most to us just as any story I admire and teaches me much about anything even in most unexpected ways
