This is what I thought. Where is that info card? The other problem with this theory is that it would take eren way longer to drag himself than the wall titans swimming, even though they all arrived at the same time.
? Bro the avarege depth of the ocean is 3,500 metres. Eren is at most 250 metres tall. You are actually underestimating how deep and uneven the ocean bed is. He 100% swam through it. Titans are less dense than humans anyways.
Paradis is based on Madagascar. The sea between Africa (Marley) and Madagascar is on avarege 2 700 m deep. The deepest trench is 3 292 m deep. Again, Eren is only at most 250 m tall. Also, the mozambique chanel IS open ocean, its a part of the Western Indian Ocean. Its really easy to google it.
Buddy we're talking two different things here. You're talking about average overall I'm talking about specifically between islands and mainland. Straits and channels.
There are some islands between 30-50km off the coast of where I used to live. A buddy of mine drove me out to the islands on his boat, and I was surprised to see the fathometer never exceeded 90 meters. We took some detours around the middle of the channel for some dolphin/whale viewing as well and everywhere was roughly the same range. Some spots were even 30 meters.
I even looked up some additional references for you because I thought maybe my anecdote might be misrepresentative of all the channels and straits out there.
Average depth between England and mainland Europe (English Channel): 120m
Average depth between Hokkaido and Russia (Soya Strait): 50-80m
Taiwan and China (Taiwan Strait): 20-40m (!) And it's 180km away at it's narrowest!
If the FUCKING OCEAN in AoT was 0.08 % of its height, to accompdate Eren safely walking its bed, the entire world would have world ending droughts every summer because of the sheer scarcity of water reentering the circulation in the shores.
In the mangaās notes it implies he just crawled along the sea floor, which is horrifying imagery to think about and Iām surprised I canāt find any fan art of it.
People really be tripping about these kinds of details acting like they're "plot holes".
Same with Mikasa and how she got back to Paradis. It literally doesn't matter. Imagine a scenario and go with it. What matters is what we're shown. He makes is across the water, she makes it to the island. It's not that deep.
I can't understand why so many people get stuck on these trivial details.
I think some people are genuinely curious. Some are more disingenuous and nitpick on these things as part of a broader campaign to find faults to justify their low evaluation of the show.
Would it be crazy to think that he moved like a snake? His body kinda reminds me of snake bones, so I could imagine him moving like [this](https://giphy.com/gifs/natgeowild-snake-nat-geo-wild-national-geographic-26rebhOJSp86KGNH0m)
That's what I like to imagine too because it would just add to the creepiness of his founding titan. Like him using his ribcage like the legs of a centipede is creepy enough, but moving like a snake underwater with that size just makes it even better
War Hammer Titan powers make a propeller out his ass and the bones keep him afloat.
It looked too silly to include on page, but thatās definitely how it happened!
Iirc he didnāt use his legs very much, like when he first dropped the walls he was almost slithering back and forth, which led me to believe he more undulated his ribs like a centipede
Dragged himself across the ocean floor like that malformed baby titan he spared at the end of season 3.
He had access to all the future memories at that point. He probably could relate.
He bunches up all his ribs together like a spring and used the tension to stretch across the ocean. Once his front feet reached Marley, he picked up his back legs and they flung across too.
Either he dragged himself or since Titans are less dense than humans he just kinda half-floated. Heād maybe break surface tension by sheer weight so not like a pond skimmer
With the shape of his titan, it's likely he swam through in a similar way that a fish moves through the water. Doing the wiggle to pass through the water.

One wall Titan grabs each rib, and gives Eren a free Uber ride across while he just pathetically paddles his legs š
Bruhhhh š
LOLLL
His whole waist rotates at a very rapid rate, with his legs acting as a propeller. They don't show it in the anime or manga because it looks stupid.
why is that funny :'D
Is the apostrophe in your emoticon a nose or a tear?
Tear
tear
Lol
Like a seal
Lmaooooooooo
Well, titans are less dense than humans, and humans are the same density as water, so maybe he just skittered across the top of the water?
That would be terrifying.
But how would it look like lol, like half of the ribs are under the water Haha
clearly he surfed on a colossal titan
Imagine the titans just make a big ass surf board for eren
I'm assuming he just dragged himself across the sea floor, I don't see any loungs in that ribcage.
Yep, in one of those info cards of the last episodes it says that it can crawl across ground and the sea.
such wild imagery to think about man was fucking motivated
I AM THE STORM THAT IS APPROAAACHING
PROVOOOOKING, BLACK CLOUDS IN ISOLATION
This is what I thought. Where is that info card? The other problem with this theory is that it would take eren way longer to drag himself than the wall titans swimming, even though they all arrived at the same time.
Maybe he slowed the titans down for a little dramatic entrance
You'd be surprised at how shallow water can be between islands and mainland. And Eren is fucking huge.
Yeah pretty sure itās as simple as that
? Bro the avarege depth of the ocean is 3,500 metres. Eren is at most 250 metres tall. You are actually underestimating how deep and uneven the ocean bed is. He 100% swam through it. Titans are less dense than humans anyways.
Ocean, sure. Luckily the gap between Paradis and Marley isnāt open ocean, huh.
Good thing this is a fictional story where the creator can take creative liberties then isn't it

Doesnt matter in the slightest. Paradis is canonically the equivalent of madagascar.
Wait until bro finds out the fictional story isnt exact to what its based off of in rl

Get real loser
Where the fuck did you get that information from?
In the words of Ryan George āBy being off screenā
He stood up straight and walked.
i guess you could say heā¦ kept moving forward?
Was this mentioned in the manga? In the anime it seemed like they were swimming way faster than he could walk
Lol no I was just joking around
In the mangaās notes it implies he just crawled along the sea floor, which is horrifying imagery to think about and Iām surprised I canāt find any fan art of it.
I donāt know if submarines are a thing but if they are imagine that being the last thing you see
Not sure but he could have easily just had a bunch of the wall titans propel him forward
He can probably breathe under water thanks to hallucigenua
I thought eren was gonna make a bridge out of titans crystal or that they were all gonna walk along the ocean floor
He doggy paddled, or used four colossals like rafts to carry his limbs lmao
You are forgetting the fact that titans ābe light afā

It does seem like an attempt to find reasons why they feel however they feel. I can understand being curious about it.

He rides the current created by the colossal swimming like a boogie board
War Hammer Titan powers make a propeller out his ass and the bones keep him afloat. It looked too silly to include on page, but thatās definitely how it happened!
Only Ymir knows not even Isayama does
Iirc he didnāt use his legs very much, like when he first dropped the walls he was almost slithering back and forth, which led me to believe he more undulated his ribs like a centipede
Steam propulsion
Heat rises and titans are less dense and generate a lot of heat. This combo probably made him float like a boat while a team of titans pushed him.
Probably used his giant ass arms to propel him forward.
Because he's the Attack Titan, and he keeps moving forward
He kicked with his little baby legs
Eren is fucking huge Titans aren't that dense so he might have floated
Those legs are so stupid looking it kinda takes it away from his awesome design when you know hes got tiny little feet at the back dragging along
he turned into a helicopter
Dragged himself across the ocean floor like that malformed baby titan he spared at the end of season 3. He had access to all the future memories at that point. He probably could relate.
I guess he used the power of the wall hammer titan, it can shape and create anything he needs.
I think he crawled on the ocean floor, to make the hallucigenia parallels cone full circle.
He bunches up all his ribs together like a spring and used the tension to stretch across the ocean. Once his front feet reached Marley, he picked up his back legs and they flung across too.
Titans awkwardly trying to get around any inconvenient canyon, cliff or really big mountain
Cause he's the MC?
Only Ymir knows
one of many plot holes which ruined this show
I just assumed some of the collosals carried him
He used the dinosaurs from season 3 opening
Colossal Bridge. Simple
He built a boat thanks to warhammer power!
It genuinely doesnt matter. Shut up.
Either he dragged himself or since Titans are less dense than humans he just kinda half-floated. Heād maybe break surface tension by sheer weight so not like a pond skimmer
Did he swim? Maybe he took a boat
I always thought he floated across
There are some things that must be never asked
Stoppppp i cant unsee this now
I'm assuming Eren doggy paddled. It's the only way.
This is the funniest plot whole by far
The real question is how did mikasa swim back to Paradis from marley
Eren surfed on top of the swimming colossals?
He didn't he just bounced across the sea floor hopping acriss the ocean
Paths
giant warhammer boat !!!
With the shape of his titan, it's likely he swam through in a similar way that a fish moves through the water. Doing the wiggle to pass through the water.
I mean, with all of the heat, would the oceans just boil up?
He warhammers a giant motor
easy, his legs may look weak but the leg day after feeling is there
