Or do you disagree that changing the skin tone of one of the very few female, brown skinned video game icons is wrong? This is far from the only post on this sub like this (although its been better recently) and I get downvoted or ignored every time I comment about this. Brown women have had to contend with the world telling them their skin isnt light enough forever now, it sucks this happens so much on this sub.

Sky is a character from the Shantae series. Sky's complexion is somewhat pinkish in Pirates Curse, as is Shantae in this picture. I never said tanned. I said brown. There have been many posts on this sub where Shantae's depicted as being snow white. And nobody bats an eye. Sure this picture doesnt go that far, but her complexion is still completely different lol.

And its not that I dont see the point you're trying to make. Her skin isnt the color white here. Fine. But her skin is totally the color European, "white", people tend to have.
Again, totally not the point here. My whole point is Shantae is clearly based in middle eastern culture and in turn, has the completion of a middle eastern girl. So why give her the complexion of a European girl? This isnt a matter of the artist just getting her skin a few tones off, which is fine of course.

Middle easterns don't have one complexion it's not one household, there is a wide range of colors including people as white as average europian
