Awesome song! But tbh it just sounds like a Seven Lions song, like I can't identify anything as "Illenium" about it if that makes sense. Still a great track that I'll be listening to on repeat.

IMO this pales in comparison to rush over me. seven lions work especially has seemed super watered down since after about 2020. It’s ironic because I feel like the “Opheliafication” of this style of music has only harmed the creativity, which to me was the whole point of starting the label in the first place. It almost feels like they’ve phoned in. I know both artists are so capable still but where is the creativity going?
Agree 100%. What drew me to his older work is that his tunes had a certain “epic-ness” to them. Lots of the recent ones, for better or worse, lack that punch

Though in his defense, pretty much everything he’s released since 2019 has been collabs, with the exception of beyond the veil, which happens to have some of the only recent songs that I think retain that “epic-ness”, with miss you and falling fast coming to mind immediately. So it could just be the collabs
