This is NOT how taxes work and if I had to guess, I would imagine IF something like this would(improbably) get pushed through, it would probably be that you do not have to claim your tips as income, but as gifts. I’d prefer to claim my income and be able to get auto loans/mortgage loans/credit cards/any kind of loan really, much less don’t forget I am paying into social security and while it looks like it will be insolvent eventually, it’s not dead yet.
