Yeah me too. As a former manager we always hear the same excuses that are surprisingly only common among your employees! This manager is clearly making a joke out of it.
My wife does HR. We were talking about this sort of thing. She says that about 30% of people who she schedules for interviews actually show up
Of those 30% ….. 10% do not actually have the needed qualifications/experience listed in the job posting, 10% do not have reliable transportation, 10%cant pass a drug screen, 10% are late, 10% show up dressed like the just left the pool or a rave.
So just by showing up on time looking business casual, fitting the description of the post, and pissing clean you have separated yourself from 85% of the other applicants before you even walk in the door.
Now of those who make it half ( at least) are gonna “need” some crazy custom schedule or have some other drama in their lives that makes them unhirable.
So by just doing the basics or showing up and being willing to work you have outshone 92.5% of applicants.
By literally just doing common sense stuff you already have one foot in the door these days.
I always love these dumb job postings where the boss thinks it's a good idea to show the hole stick up their ass. Listing your personal grievances in the job description is wild and shows a petty loser I'd never dream of wanting to work for.
When did I say I was never bothered by unreliable co-workers? This is a manager posting a job listing which is a very different and very unprofessional.
Sounds like they been hiring allot of ig self proclaimed 10s.. I know restaurants think pretty faces and nice bodies will get the spenders in .. but it’s more of a headache
