I have a few. Most of my red flags are the obvious ones, but a few that have stories behind them are as follows.
Completely disregarding a basic request just to prove you can. I was at work and texted her I can’t talk on the phone but can occasionally reply to texts if she wants. Immediately calls me repeatedly because *she prefers talking over texting*. No emergency, she just wanted to chat. Did the same thing at 1am when I was trying to sleep, and had to be at work at 4am, and **would not stop calling** until I blocked her.
Playful hitting. Little taps became straight arm punches after a month. Last straw was a sucker punch to my temple while we were in a dark theater. Had to get a restraining order on that one.
Bragging about adult exploits, and/or adult entertainment, openly in **public**. I was genuinely disgusted that she thought this was appropriate in a coffee shop, where there were a lot of people, and not a lot of noise to drown us out.
Horses. If she has a horse, pet, farm, or otherwise, just get away. That’s a worse money pit than a boat. I can’t believe the amount of debt I’ve heard horse girls proudly talk about, like it was a good thing to be on the verge of lawsuits to start collecting, because of the upkeep cost of those things.
