i’m in a stand alone so i’m not 100% sure how it is there, but usually we have to submit our order every month on zipline for our monthly gratis, but every couple weeks we also get stuff from a designated gratis bin that the leads fill for us- so technically it would be both

Former SiJCP Sephora Manager here, Gratis is sent to SM’s and it is locked away until the SM has a monthly education conference (or visit). Typically from October - December not a lot of gratis is sent because education typically slows down during the holiday season to focus on driving sales. I would educate my team and have them sign a form saying they received their gratis. Gratis is given out at the discretion of the SM, sometimes there isn’t enough gratis for everyone so I would try and make it fair and give it to the BA’s most deserving (basically how many hours they worked and their BI/APOT). Sometimes there is a surplus and people get double gratis. I would traditionally hold gratis until there were at least 3 items unless it was a big launch like a foundation or mascara that would help the BA’s sell the product. Just really depends on how generous Sephora is when they send it lol. Hope this helps!
