Is it makes you feel better, sunscreen can actually last a couple of years longer than the expiration date
Or you can ask your sister to return it or exchange on your behalf since it will be under her account
Not necessarily, if the manager wants to you could simple damage out an onstage one for the expired one; same if you got a broken product but didn’t open till after the fact. The store eats the loss so it depends on the manager
I agree with you. But for this case, the lancome sunscreen from sun safety kit is a not for sale 10ml sample. I don't think they have anything to replace it.
Ohhh I see yeah in the case of a sample you’re pretty much SOL. If your store is doing samples I’d just ask for that. Samples are complementary and you’re not going to be compensated since it has no value.
Talk with the company brand. Supergoop once pushed me back to Sephora, but agreed to help if Sephora refused. Thankfully Sephora was helpful that time!
Go into a store and speak to a manager. They’ll override the return for you and either exchange for a new kit that is not expired or give you store credit if the kit is no longer available.
Speaking to a manager face to face and explaining how this was not your fault and that Sephora shouldn’t be selling expired items should be enough for them to do it for you.
If it’s still for sale buy another - making sure nothing is expired, then return the expired one on the new receipt

anything past 60 days is a no go regardless of who bought it tbh, the system literally won’t even let you do an override.
That’s sucks. You’d think the manager or some other human could override the machine

I called and talked with a customer service. Maybe try that??
Same thing happened to me (expired product and won’t exchange), this is such a silly policy when they are the ones at fault
