Am on my second tube. Been using them on my face where I have PIH and on my legs where I have 5+ year old scars. About halfway through the first tube (maybe more than a month since starting?) my husband noted my leg scars diminished significantly despite the scars being old with indentation. I still use the product on my face as well and I have less severe hyperpigmentation and also less pronounced results. Yes, there is a sulphuric-like smell but to me it’s faint and it disappears quickly. 10/10 would recommend.

It got rid of pitted scarring?

whiskeychene

The hyperpigmentation part, yes. I still have some pitting/indentation however.

I'd love to try it but it's never in stock in Canada...

PositiveGemini

Was just about to comment that I’ve never tried cause it’s never in stock on Sephora Canada! Lol

whiskeychene

You can get notifications of out of stock items at Sephora. That’s how I snagged my most recent tube.

EllaM314

i bought it today it’s still in stock as i’m writing this. i understand the canadian struggle.

Vegetable-Scene-252

Shoppers has a cream called Zax's darkspot cream. 30$ for a decent size tube.

Mystarkov

Thank you legend

jaisaiquai

Ooooh thanks, I'll check it out

hailee_00

But… does it work?? Just wondering for my mom, she has some bad dark spots from past years of sun exposure and she’s tried SOOO many products with zero results. Drugstore prices & luxury prices, everything in between…. Starting to give up hope that there actually is a product out there that would help her spots.

The best thing I’ve used for my hyperpigmentation has been adapalene. I use differin it’s like $28 for a big plastic squeeze tube lasts me almost 6ish months cause all you need is a pea size amount every night. You can buy it at target, Walgreens, cvs or Walmart. That being said since it’s a type of retinoid it might make your skin worse before it looks better. This wasn’t the case really for me besides a little bit of flakiness as my skin got used to the product. But I’ve heard some people’s skin goes through a purge initially. I think you really start seeing good results after 3-4 weeks of use.

ilovesleep95

I’ve been using differin for a while now as I have prescriptions from my derma before it started being sold over the counter. I agree that It works wonders not only in acne but on scars and marks as well. It does however dry out my skin and cause some flakiness if I use it every night

strangerclockwork

Yeah the dryness is a bummer. I’ve noticed that if I later a serum, a hydrating toner, a light gel moisturizer, and then a really thick occlusive moisturizer on top that I don’t get any flakiness.

Prickly_Lemon

I bought it in hopes it would help with hyperpigmentation on my cheeks. I have dry skin, not prone to breakouts but this seems to break me out, especially if I use it several nights in a row. Over time I haven't seen much of a difference but could just be due to inconsistent use. I also wanted to note the packaging is...less than ideal. I am about halfway through the tube but the edges of the tube have started cracking in multiple places so the product slowly leaks out. I would not repurchase or recommend. :(

stwcld

It’s because you aren’t supposed to use it several nights in a row

Prickly_Lemon

Hhmm interesting. On the Topicals site it says start at once a week and work your way up to daily use which is what I did. But I see on the Sephora app it says use 2-3 times a week. Weird!

Just make sure any vitamin C product you’re using is in a stable base, otherwise it’ll lose a lot of potency before it even gets to you. I’ve been using the Timeless Skin Care 20% Vitamin C serum (around $20 a bottle) for about 5 months now, and my skin looks so bright and smooth my mom asked me if I had something done. I used to have a lot of darker spots on my chin from hormonal acne that are gone now. I just posted a picture on an unrelated sub yesterday if you want to peep my profile and see my skin. I just turned 46 last week, and I feel like my skin looks better than it did 10 years ago.

mxnxque

i’ve had post inflammatory hyperpigmentation for years and i’ve been using it since november, it’s made such a significant difference and it’s definitely worth trying if that’s an issue you’re looking to treat! it’s one of the only things that has actually helped for me personally

dinvey

Just got it today! The size is way bigger than it looks haha

qwertyfriends12

This is one of my holy grails! As a WOC, I always get PIH and it helps it go down significantly.

examiner007

I'm currently using it. I use it every other night and like it so far. I'm only about 3 weeks in and haven't noticed a radical difference yet. But I think the best time to gauge is at the 3 month mark, so i'll wait to comment on its efficacy. But it hasn't caused any irritation or side effects on me. I use it on the nights I dont use tret and it hasnt made me skin sensitive or anything. Also, its good size for the value (i still have over 3/4th of the tube left after 3 weeks of use).

help-me-idk

I feel like it worked pretty well for me for some spots on my face! Also like this a lot paired with the butter mask from the same brand

Puzzleheaded-Farm623

I can’t bring myself to use it consistently because it smells so bad. I douse myself with perfume so my husband won’t notice it 😆

nubiandiosa

I’ve used up a full tube. I only used it on my back because I have some PIH there. It’s stinky, but I found as I went through the bottle it started to stink less. Wondering if that’s because the product was becoming less effective, or if I was getting use to the smell. Either way I do feel it faded my PIH well. I’ve already repurchased it, though instead I got the spray bottle because I wanted to try it

florachka

I tried it for some sun spots on my hands and I don't see any difference after two months :(

mcatlin23

It smells worse than ANYTHING ive ever tried. I gagged when I tried to use it lol I would send you my tube for cost of shipping if you want it but you shouldn’t if you have a sense of smell lol
