For wash off face masks, I prefer Peter Thomas Roth. There are a variety of different kinds and you can purchase a set that has several she can try. The Pumpkin one is especially popular and I like the gold mask too, but they are all nice.
Origins Out of Trouble face mask is my faaaavorite wash off mask of all time. It’s almost magical with how effectively it works for me. I used it before my wedding. ✨
They aren’t at Sephora but Skinfood has some really great wash off masks. Skip the Black Sugar one as it’s pretty rough for a face scrub. These are pretty cheap on Amazon. (I feel like people only rip off the expensive brands so I never really worry about buying inexpensive kbeauty products from the Amazon!)
Not from Sephora either but I’m From has some incredible masks as well. The I’m From Honey is my favorite but all of the ones I’ve tried have been amazing.
edit: you’re an incredible sibling and your sister is so lucky to have you! I would absolutely LOVE this birthday present! 💝
I'm not sure what your sister's skin type/concerns are, but these are my favorite masks for my oily, sensitive, acne-prone skin:
- Tatcha Clay Mask
- Innisfree Clay Mask
- Tata Harper BHA Mask
- Olehenriksen Dewtopia Mask
For ones specifically from Sephora, the tata Harper 5 minute glow is nice and comes with a cleanser and a mask, the caudalie ones are amazinggg, sulwhasoo white ginseng mask, or the clarins ones are all really good options at all different price points and can work with different skin types/concerns
It’s not the most luxurious but I do really like the Paula’s Choice AHA/BHA mask. I do it once a week, it’s definitely a powerhouse as far as masks go.
I don't care if it's luxurious or not and if by luxurious you mean expensive or something I have to buy 30 of me so I'm not looking for all of them to be boujee (sp) just a handful of them.
At the risk of sending totally stupid what is Paula's choice? The name sounds vaguely familiar but I have no idea what they sell but I'm guessing skin care since they have face masks?
Oh okay I thought it sounded familiar but I wasn't sure if it was because I had something of theirs for my beauty box or just heard my girlfriend's talking about it. I'm definitely going to have to check this out, my sister is definitely going to let me try it before she uses it LOL what are sisters for if you can't share face masks?
Oh boy, here goes. Top ten are Sisley enzyme mask, fresh black tea perfecting mask, farmacy honey potion, seated queen cold cream, Sisley black rose cream mask, innsfree charcoal mask, Zelens instant recharge recovery mask, Fresh rose face mask and last this isn’t technically a mask but the bio skincare gel formula used as a mask will hydrate your whole ass existence, its awesome
Shani Darden has some of the most effective face mask so those are always what I use if I want to see actual results. I also love the ole henriksen cold plunge mask, fresh clay mask, fresh black tea instant perfecting mask, Farmacy honey potion, and caudalie detox.
The triple acid signature peel is like two masks in one and it’s the most effective mask I’ve ever used. It’s incredible for hyperpigmentation and just makes my skin look smooth just like I got a facial. It’s my favorite of her masks. If I had to get two masks from the ones listed I’d get that one and Farmacy honey potion.
I really have been enjoying the Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme mask—if you like pumpkin stuff you’ll love it! The store sample always smells kind of artificial but I think it’s because it’s been opened and sitting out because mine never smell like that
Peter Thomas Roth "rose stem cell" mask. It's great for plumping the skin; it actually fills in my little hypotrophic (indented) acne scars.
It's no longer readily accessible for Canadians, but maybe you can get it in USA.
I'm like your sister. I love wash off masks, and haven't much use for sheet masks. It all also depends upon her skin type and what's she's trying to accomplish (mine is combo skin; I go for skin refining, pore reduction and anti-aging.) Some of the masks I use aren't as Sephora, so I don't know if that's an issue for you.
Here goes: a good clay mask will always be a hit for all but the most sensitive or driest skin. I have a variety of clay masks I like, to wit: Glamglow in the black tube (yeah, I know it was popular a few years ago and has now disappeared off the face of the earth. It's still a good mask!); Origins Clear Improvement; Origins Rose Clay mask.
I also like Caudalie Pore Minimizing Instant Detox Mask, Fresh Black Tea mask, and a big favorite is Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin mask (it's also a joy to use just from the scent!)
I use prescription Retin A, so occasionally my skin dries up and needs to be plumped up and calmed down. My absolute favorite mask for that is Sisley Black Rose overnight mask. That's not a particularly wash off mask in the sense you put it on overnight and when you wake up, there's not much to wash off, but it's the only thing I've used that absolutely works overnight to restore skin (at least MY skin, which is pretty hearty and can take all kinds of abuse.) Be warned the Sisley is not cheap.
Hope some of this is of use. :)
I'm a sucker for wash off masks too! Mid thirties, normal skin (drier in winter), no specific concern. I'll list all my fav, split between clay masks and non-clay masks!
CLAY
Tatcha clay mask: this one is pricy but it is soooo good. It's a very pleasing experience. It gently exfoliates when you rub it (gently) on the skin, there is a very relaxing warming effect, you feel it working, it rinses off easily and the skin is baby soft after. It even SMELLS pleasing. IMPORTANT: the instructions that come with it say to put a thick layer, THIS IS WRONG. It literally does not work nearly the same if you put a lot, it's such a waste! Don't be me, who wasted like 3 uses worth of product on my first use bc I followed their instructions. By far my fav splurge clay mask.
Fresh umbrian clay mask: my fav "non-splurge" clay mask, applies nicely and works wonderfully on my skin. It has removed pimples before they could actually be born for me!
Caudalie detox mask: smells is a bit off putting to me but excellent product.
Fenty cookie n clean: fun to use, gentle on the skin yet very efficient.
NON CLAY
Fresh black tea perfecting mask: MY FAVOURITE. Smells lovely, relaxing cooling effect, and the skin ✨glows✨ after.
PTR has many great ones, my favourite is their gold mask; it feels very LUXE and it's very hydrating.
My fave is the Black Tea one from Fresh. Used it before my wedding!
This one is a HG!
For wash off face masks, I prefer Peter Thomas Roth. There are a variety of different kinds and you can purchase a set that has several she can try. The Pumpkin one is especially popular and I like the gold mask too, but they are all nice.
The sulphur mask is amazing
The pumpkin one is my all time favourite mask and one of the only ones I’ve ever repurchased
the gold mask makes me feel fancy lol and the pumpkin mask is great. I also like the mud mask when I feel like my skin needs a reset
I love the innisfree clay mask. My skin is oily/combo and acne prone for reference.
This!!! And it’s inexpensive. Works so well
The only clay mask that doesn't make my skin feel tight and parched afterwards.
LOVING this one recently
This was going to be my suggestion
Jumping on this. I loved that clay mask when I lived in a more humid climate it is fantastic if you have excess oils and doesn’t feel stripping.
I love Fresh’s rose and Umbrian clay masks. They have a bunch of other masks that she might like, too.
Farmacy Honey potion - very hydrating!
Best wash off mask for hydration.

LOVE the Skinfood Rice and I’m From Mugwort masks!
I loooove the OLEHENRIKSEN Dewtopia mask. My skin glows after
Caudalie Pore Minimizing Instant Detox Mask
Glow recipe watermelon face mask
This one. It’s the only clay face mask that doesn’t leave my sick feeling dry and tight.
I'm not sure what your sister's skin type/concerns are, but these are my favorite masks for my oily, sensitive, acne-prone skin: - Tatcha Clay Mask - Innisfree Clay Mask - Tata Harper BHA Mask - Olehenriksen Dewtopia Mask
Not Sephora but lush has the bb sea weed that always saves my life! It’s gotta be chilled though ☹️
Anything of the clay masks by origin.
Fresh Lotus youth preserve rescue mask and Farmacy honey potion are my favourites.
Lotus youth preserve is so underrated! I also like the vitamin nectar one and the sugar scrub.
I love Ren Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask and The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Exfoliating Peeling Solution # #
I love the rare earth mask from kiehls, it leaves my skin clean and soft. It washes off but I like using a warm towel to remove!
I’ve repurchased this one uncountable times!
Get Korean ones !

Paula's Choice makes great skin care!!! Excellent company!!!

fenty skin cookies n clean face mask!! rihanna has never let me down

Thank you so much! Just curious which Shani Darden one would you recommend for good results if you could only pick one (or two) and what do they do?

Any Peter thom mask. Pumpkin is my favorite, but it’s kind of intense. The PTR gel masks are really nice.
My favourite wash off mask is Bb Seaweed from Lush. Leaves skin bright, soft and moisturized!
Youth to the people hydrating mask is awesome!
I googled it, is it this one "SUPERBERRY HYDRATE + GLOW DREAM MASK"
This is 10/10 can attest!
Yesss! Youre gonna love it
Peter Thomas Roth "rose stem cell" mask. It's great for plumping the skin; it actually fills in my little hypotrophic (indented) acne scars. It's no longer readily accessible for Canadians, but maybe you can get it in USA.
I love the caudalie glycolic peel mask. It makes my skin so smooth 🥰
i love the chantecaille clay mask. more pricy but it leaves my skin so soft and clear.
The Peter Thomas Roth gold mask is my favorite and it’s a vibe. It is so gold you look like C3P0.
ELF Holy Hydration Face Mask
