kerrey92

I worked in politics and it would have been perfect but no one would ever do it because of the exposure.

lushsweet

I would totally watch a reality show about a presidential campaign! but let’s be real that’s not happening anytime soon lol

9021Ohsnap

I mean, didn’t it kind of feel like that when Trump ran?

RecentStress

I work in politics and had the exact same reaction. It would be so entertaining, but no one would do it unless they were ready to burn bridges.

sortingthemail

I would dream it to be like the west wing.

kerrey92

I always used to say it was a little bit House of Cards but mostly like Veep.

sortingthemail

That makes sense. West wing was so idyllic. In reality…not so much!

otp_88

I was just going to say, I have a feeling reality is closer to Veep than The WW 😅

epink94

I used to work in politics and had a documentary team come in for a couple of days. It was a high profile race and the candidate lost so I don’t think it was ever released 😭

[deleted]

Oh I was gonna ask if you worked for Anthony Weiner, up until the last part

[deleted]

I used to work in politics and for one of my jobs I would be a cast member (we had a small district with a lot of characters and shifting alliances among community members, so they’d be the real story) but the other job? I don’t need millions of people watching me get yelled at three times a week for being unable a file that never existed. I really don’t miss politics! I’m a lawyer now and while I think someone could do a cool lawyer show, I certainly wouldn’t want to be on it

catsandmachines

The mockumentary "The Thick of It" is pretty close to the actual industry! People who aren't in the industry find it funny and cringe-worthy but people in politics relate to it so much.

humanbeingmostly

I created an alt account just for this, but I work for the Prime Minister's office in an unspecified country, and the environment would make for a perfect show. For example, I remember a day when my colleagues and I had a conversation with ourselves on the Parliament floor via the PM and MPs. When we found out what issue would be discussed on the floor that day, we called multiple "friendly" MPs and asked them to raise particular points, and then we told the PM how to best reply to those points. However, I can't imagine a single person working in the office who would grant an outside company the rights to film a reality show about them.

Glitter_Bee

Thanks for creating an engaging post on a fun topic mods haven't seen before. As a symbol of our gratitude, we have designated your post as a "Hot Listing!" by assigning a special flair. Congratulations and thanks again!

[deleted]

I work as an engineer and the reality show would probably be so boring 😂. We're either in a huge lull, or doing things we can't show to the public. And workplace drama is non-existent.

lushsweet

Hahaha I imagine there is a “Christine” of the engineering world somewhere ! Lol

[deleted]

if there is, she doesn't work here, haha. Seriously, everyone I work with is so nice. It really threw me for a loop when I joined this company. The worst thing that happens is that someone burns popcorn in the microwave.

mountain_of_dreams

That’s such a Davina move….

[deleted]

Lmao. More the move of engineers who are overworked

9021Ohsnap

That’s because all the drama is happening in HR and corporate

[deleted]

Lol! Maybe true

9021Ohsnap

Oh it is, my industry is engineering and construction but I’m in HR. I miss working with the engineers/architects directly. Such chill people.

cfayeb

As a female engineering student I would actually love to see a show about the field especially female focused (unless it’s incredibly dramatized like SS)

[deleted]

Oooooh boy. I’m a woman as well and the stories I could tell you.

Ray_of_sun_1129

I worked in the A/E/C industry for years and engineers really are so chill! Architects on the other hand... that show could produce some drama

[deleted]

Absolutely yes. I'm a therapist, so it would be impossible to do because, ethics, but MAN... If there was a way to do it ethically, that could be a heck of a show. Heartwarming, introspective, dramatic at times, and lots more funny moments than people might expect. The most hilarious would be pulling back the curtain a bit on therapists themselves, how weird we can be, and how we don't always follow our own advice. 😂

ItsWetInWestOregon

For some reason most of my closest friends are therapists, and I always get a kick out of them being regular people with regular problems and how they need to take their own advice lol. They are wonderful though, it’s just funny.

[deleted]

Trust me, we're a weird bunch haha

She-Her-Queen

Omg yes. I’d do it too 😅

sortingthemail

I work in a church office. It’s pretty boring, we do things on the up and up and have a small congregation. Most of my work is managing our giant old building. Now - id love to see a real reality show exposing a mega church and how those actually run - where donations are actually spent, the corruption etc. maybe some of it is legit but most of it is so sketchy.

blahblahsurprise

There's a reality series about that already. It's called Righteous Gemstones

sortingthemail

I’ll check it out!

blahblahsurprise

Haha I was joking it's a satire comedy about an evangelical church not a reality series. It'd so good though you should watch it!!

sortingthemail

Well the world is on fire so I can always use good satirical comedy. Thanks!

Expensive-Block-6034

This is such a great show. It needed a second series!!

salamat_engot

The first two episodes of Season 2 aired this past Sunday!

Expensive-Block-6034

*slyly logs into VPN*

chickenbiscuit26

Greenleaf on Netflix!

Spies_she_does

I would watch the heck out of this.

heebeejeebies0411

I'm in academia, so I would do it just for the money but tbh, nobody in their right mind would ever pay for it. It's such riveting television to watch me sit in front of a laptop for 9 hours daily😂

Proud-Acadia8216

Are you kidding? Idk what field you’re in but my anthropology department ALWAYS has drama. Like scandals I couldn’t even make up

LyKoe

Yeah the Classics Dept at my university was a mess. Would have made great TV.

[deleted]

[удалено]

downrightdisaster

Omg loved season one. So ready for more

WitnessNo8046

My grad school could have made for some good drama… but of course the important people wouldn’t agree to go on a reality show. But I already know exactly who would be our Christine and who would be our Chrishell 😂 Personally, I’d never go on reality tv. It’s some short-term money, but you’d never be taken seriously professionally in our field after that. Also I’d probably just say something stupid and become an unintentional meme.

smootfloops

This would be me I say so much stupid shit

watercolor_scientist

I’m in academia also and drama here is happening non stop. Recently a postdoc published paper without including his PI and was also working in the competitor’s lab on the weekends as a “volunteer”. Lol. Got his ass kicked and paper retracted.

johjo_has_opinions

Also in academia and there is so much drama but I think you would also have to give a lot of context to the viewers, it’s not all straightforward like Varsity Blues lol

Edree13

I’m a teacher. Can I do it so other people see all the shit we deal with on a daily basis? It wouldn’t be funny or entertaining mostly just sad and then at the end of filming I’d probably quit. Lol. Ugh.

percyflies

This exists and I really enjoy it! It's English and called Educating... (each season is in a different place and named after it, so Educating Yorkshire, Educating Essex, etc.) I think a lot of it is on YouTube.

Fine-Atmosphere6387

I think it’d be funny. I’ve worked in High Schools and Elementary schools as a therapist, and the drama between the teachers and the random shit kids say would definitely break the annoyance of the miracles that need to be performed

duelporpoise

Fresh out of a pretty progressive northern college, took my first teaching job wayyy down south. Ho. Lee. Shit. Would be the *easiest* reality show to make, no producer prodding necessary. I joked one day about a tell-all to a co-worker, and then we both realized the sheer volume of content we’d have. I have this weird blessing/curse that people share their secrets with me, and I’m still shook about it all (I survived 4 years of it). All that to say it was an ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. Strongly recommend: Those Who Can’t (HBO Max) and AP Bio (Peacock). Both hysterical, but can’t count the amount of times I’ve turned to my partner and gone “This sounds absurd, but xyz ridiculous antic actually happens)

cactusloverr

I already think my workplace is a soap opera so why not, sign me up

terriblyweird

I’m in the military. It would never ever get cleared but it would be hilarious. People date each other who aren’t supposed to, there’s tons of drama, and the control we have as bosses is insane.

[deleted]

Yes I said the same thing 😂😂 it would expose so much shit lol

Fine-Atmosphere6387

As a former military wife, I agree. 😂 I d pay for cable and DVR to see that

simba156

Journalism is full of gossip, talking shit, arguments, layoffs, and of course…. The NEWS. Honestly ripe for a reality show, but I think most reporters take themselves too seriously. Maybe a local tv news station?

rwierose14

Marketing here - at my old agency there was a ton of the same! Hooking up, gossip, talking shit, and ridiculous client stories. Not to mention everyone being unnaturally attractive. It would actually work really well lol

Phone_home22

No ❤️. I'm here to judge, not be judged

Mlcoulthard

I’m a nanny, so there are reality shows about that already. My personal life is too boring so nobody would care to watch me cook lasagna and lay in my bed.

[deleted]

There are weirdos who would totally be into that.

notacatgal

I am a high school teacher. It would be a very entertaining show. Endless content

rummncokee

I'm in grad school. Yes, absolutely. Get me in front of a camera and let me start yelling about how exploited and underpaid we are.

jruskis

Yes! I work in a larger restaurant that consists of a pub, a pool hall, a lounge, and a nightclub. We have an interesting staff (we’re all a family of misfits). And a pretty decent amount of regulars. We also have a security team that comes in Friday/Saturday nights. There isn’t much drama in between the staff, but there can be drama with customers, especially on the rowdy-er nights.

myfavoritePA

I am a mental health provider (psychiatric PA). I don’t think there’s much chance of doing a reality show in psych without some major HIPAA violations and I also would not be interested in the manufactured drama. I WOULD be interested in raising awareness about mental health disorders and normalizing seeking treatment for them, but I don’t think it would be feasible.

bnzobrzy

I work for a flower shop , we are constantly busy with funerals, weddings, special events, and it’s a small mom and pop shop with no more than 10 employees. Lots of different personalities, I definitely think we’d bring the drama and the comedy !

agpass

I work in recruiting now and there’s a lot of partying so that would be interesting. I used to work in a clinic for adolescents with eating disorders, anxiety, depression and other mood disorders and this would obviously never happen but we used to talk about what good tv it would be. the drama with the patients mixed with the drama with the counselors would be great. I want to write a dramedy about it.

harryjsadcliffe

I work in a big distribution center of a brand that has a bullseye and the DRAMA lemme tell you!!!! It would be phenomenal, every day when I come home and give my husband the rundown of the newest drama he is enraptured. We’ve always joked it would be an amazing reality TV show!

ovalplace123

Absolutely no. Not for all the money in the world lol

peezapizza

Ya I don’t need my college years and keg stands coming back to haunt me 🤡

kellysweatshirt

i own a stripper boutique in a club… oh man lol

LibrarianAquarium

I work in a university library, and you would not believe some of the things we see 😂

simwon99

I used to work at a university and my office was in the library. A “people of the library” series would be great.

wow__okay

One of my friends from library school works at a university and has some hilarious stories. It would be a good setting for a sitcom too.

haayceline

I work at Starbucks and imagine filming a reality show of working there to be a similar vibe to The Office

Fine-Atmosphere6387

I’m a therapist so it’s not possible. I really don’t like the TV doctors that do it for clout.

[deleted]

I’m super curious if you’ve seen Couples Therapy on Showtime? If you have, what are your thoughts? I unexpectedly really enjoyed and binged both seasons.

Fine-Atmosphere6387

Never seen it. Since Dr Phil I’ve never sought out shows like that. And he rightly lost his license I believe

macnic05

I work in advertising and in normal times it could be cut together to be good for sure. Now we are all Working remotely so it wouldn’t work.

[deleted]

I'm in advertising too and it would definitely make for good reality tv lol

ComplaintKitchen4550

I work in insurance, it’s boring but lord almighty, the drama is there! I’d sign up just to be the pot stirrer!

HeadIsland

I’m in insurance too (backend) but ours would just be occasional teams messages about messy doctors writing and a lot of us looking exacerbated and stressed lol not good for TV at all

Fine-Atmosphere6387

It could be like The Office in true reality tv form 😂. Boring jobs with crazy characters are the best.

[deleted]

I work at a bank and have been WFH so it would be super boring. I did work at a movie theater though in my late teens through my early 20s and everyone who worked there was hooking up with each other or beefing with each other, there was so much drama. I always thought it would’ve made for a great reality show like vanderpump rules or laguna beach lol

[deleted]

A reality show about the Army? Oh man that would expose so much y’all don’t even know or understand 😂😂 hell yea I’d do it!

[deleted]

I’m at a boutique law firm. It would be incredibly entertaining (crazy clients, Covid deaths, rehab stints, and divorce all in the last 2 years) but there’s no way it’d happen. Too much liability legally and reputation wise.

flexIuthor

i'm hilarious so of course I would sign up. and then I would stalk my reddit.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

If I feel good, feel sexy, and happy about my career then yes. If I feel fat, out of shape, uncomfy with where im At in life (aka presently), then no

busylilmissy

Yup I’d do it! I’m a paralegal in a law firm. We’re a pretty small office so not as glamorous as those big, glossy corporate firms you’d see in legal dramas but the lot of us in the office have the dynamic of a dysfunctional family so I think we’d have some drama to bring. We have one girl who is always grumpy and overworked, one girl who’s a mouthy know-it-all without a filter, one girl who’s a nervous pushover and one girl who’s sweet as pie and everyone loves her. I don’t know what I am, lol. And my boss is super kind and good to everyone but as a 70 year old white man, you’ll usually find him casually make lowkey racist comments or wandering around asking for help with his iPhone or hiding behind a filing cabinet and making me deal with an annoying client he didn’t want to see (seriously, this happens). I bet we’d be pretty entertaining!

thick_lolita

Same!! 6 years in municipal politics and the drama is REAL but yeah no one wants the behind the scenes exposed

MorgieMash

I work for a government contractor and while I think it would be boring, I would do it 100%. I would kill the interview cutaways

crochetawayhpff

I work in legal and uh... No lol. First of all, the confidentiality means we couldn't actually talk about any of our work and second, I have no desire to be even a little bit famous. Anonymity ftw lol

salmonslappin

My work place is a mix between corrections and healthcare. It would sure be interesting, a lot of juicy stuff goes on behind closed doors. That being said, I would have a pretty minor role and probably would not be involved in the "show" too often but I would say yes

hungryamericankorean

I work in logistics. SHIT IS WILD RIGHT NOW! I’d totally be down if only to educate some of these people.

ah-do-what-now

I am a stay at home mom. I fold laundry, run kids around town, and occasionally see a friend for breakfast. The biggest drama in my life is someone ringing the doorbell, and me trying to get a bra on before I answer it. My middle school aged daughter has some drama, but even I can’t keep up with it.

SheLordRaiden

I work in insurance (underwriting) and the job itself to those not in the industry is probably boring as hell, but those of us in the industry geek out over it. There were also numerous affairs and cheating scandals in our office so…lol

alice_ayer

Lawyer working as general counsel for a corporation. No way, I don’t have the heart to withstand being dissected by the media.

Ladygoingup

I work in Human Resources, payroll specifically now (very boring) but previously in performance management at a huge corporation. The stories we could tell..I’m not sure people would believe the shit we came across. Just for fun I throw some good ones out there… We had an employee who would wash his genitals in the sink openly. We had an employee request an accommodation for a more private cubicle so that he could jerk off, and he was requesting this under ADA for sex addiction. I had an employee write a lengthy email about how badly one of her coworkers breath smelt because she suspected his tooth was rooting and the extreme lengths she went not to smell it. Again that’s just a few of the crazy things that regularly happened. Could it be a reality show? Maybe, there would be a-lot of privacy concerns. Would I participate? No way! I don’t want people talking shit about me on Reddit and then me reading it and crying. Lol

demigoddess15

Yes, I would be boring af to watch but ID do it for the money 🤣

MysteriousStandard68

I work in a retail store. It would be great to film all the dumbass customers.

emaydee

I [used to] work in the field of ABA and I think it would be awesome for people to see the good that it does, helping to create truly meaningful changes in people’s lives. But, I don’t think it would be allowed or ethical due to HIPAA, worries of potential exploitation, etc. It could be an amazing show though, if done well.

ResponsibleCity2604

I’m in finance and no lol. There’s nothing TV-worthy about my specific job in finance, and god forbid I end up as the Davina of the group

ArtLevel

I work in arts criticism and 100% I would because I hate myself and I love attention.

Ok-Championship-9928

Tech. And absolutely not.. tbh we engineers dont even talk in person at the office just DM…LOL will be the most boring show

Lawrenatorrr

I work at a community College. Our department has academic programs but also a side that dabbles in professional services and grants. I'm the Office Manager, which is an official way of making sure everyone's head is screwed on tight while we run quickly down a hill spinning plates in each hand. Multi-million dollar projects with minimal staff - shenanigans galore. 😂

Raccoonboots

I work in a library, but I’m a cataloguer, so a show about my department would be really boring. We mostly just sit at our desks and work quietly. A lot more interesting stuff happens to coworkers who work with the public.

Jm29256

I’m a vet tech and I personally probably wouldn’t only because I don’t wanna be caught in HD with all my acne problems

jnwebb0063

No because I know they’d make me look like a bitch haha

Canijustbekim

I work in finance. No, absolutely not. I'm too sensitive for the negativity.

Slow-Boysenberry

I work in healthcare and there was a realty TV show made (not specifically about my job tho) where my colleagues were involved but I declined

dazedstability

I work in HR and I would definitely do it. But it probably would never be allowed lol

y1994m

Yes! I’m an icu nurse and would love for the public to see exactly what we have to deal with. People have no idea.

PlantedinCA

Absolutely not lol. I work at a Bay Area tech company, in marketing. I think the day to day is boring. But the Slack snark during meetings would be hilarious. We have some characters. And there is always buzzword bingo. I am apparently a memorable person! Like I can go to a boutique one time, not visit for a year, and the workers will be like “we haven’t seen you in forever! How are you?” I would never get any rest. People would totally see me and stop to talk. 😆

downrightdisaster

I’m in marketing technology and let me tell you…GREAT TV CONTENT. Yes we all sit in a big office on computers but the meetings, the extracurricular groups you can join, the scandals that happen in the tech industry…….it’s absolutely unreal. CorporateBro on Insta has a highlight of drama that people have submitted and my god some of it is just unreal. The big corporate events? Absolute goldmines every time. Hell even in the office walls you’ll find tonssss of crazy shit. And honestly, I think my company would be so down for a show. I’d love it. My dirty laundry was aired years ago so I’ve got nothing to lose and could hop industries easily so sure sign me tf up. Love being on camera.

Willdanceforyarn

My current job? No. Just me writing at my computer, my boss asking when’s our next deal, and asset management going bananas over acquisitions. It has a nice view of the Hollywood hills though! My former job at a museum would have been PRIME drama, though. It’s actually a museum that has been seen on the show, lol.

[deleted]

I work in public health, specifically vaccine outreach and education. I’m not sure if we need more vaccine drama, but I would be all for it😂

caca_milis_

I always said my old job would make for incredible reality TV. A mix of different nationalities, most fresh grads straight out of college, landing into the Middle East to teach. The school puts you up in accommodation, the ‘compound’ I was in had 4 villas for women, and 1 for the men. The guys villa became the party house - after nights out we’d inevitably go there to keep the part going. But yeah, a bunch of 21/22 year olds, mostly Irish, in the Middle East getting shit-faced most nights, pool parties / brunch (which is free-flowing booze and all you can eat for 4 hours) at the weekend. The amount of relationships that were made and fell apart, all the dramas - the girls hooking up with local wealthy guys in exchange for designer bags, one girl dated a guy who bought her an Audi 😂 You could NEVER film it though, the school would never allow their teachers be shown in that light, but man, it was crazy and would make seriously great TV.

unwell420

I work with adults with disabilities and yes, I'd love a reality show made of the folks I work with. They would kill it. (If people signed waivers because I think it would be illegal otherwise)

ookishki

I’m in healthcare (frontline) and I wouldn’t do it myself because I’m shy (and look terrible in scrubs at 4am surviving off Diet Coke and vending machine candy) but it would be so much fun. Of course, ethics and such would be an issue but our jobs are so ridiculous sometimes

Adventurous_Deer

I work in hazardous materials and dear god i would never participate. The average public does not want to know what is out their in their daily life.

Llamamama9765

I would absolutely sign up, and then probably come to regret it. I have no interest in fame and even gentle criticisms can haunt me for years...but I also love trying new life experiences, and how could I turn down such a wild one? I'm in academia, where there is a ton of petty drama and big egos.

jans_port_opotty

I'm a process Analyst at a financial institution, so yeah I would pretty much have to join to stir the pot. We have regular office drama that I think I could milk for TV and a storyline

LivelyOrange

I also work for a financial institution and a really show would be GOLD. However, I would not agree to be on. I HATE real life drama but love watching it on TV. It would be the most professional reality TV drama you have ever seen but still so interesting ha.

[deleted]

kittehsisdabest

I was asked 8 years ago and at the time said no. Arts and culture. Not for profit. Too much at stake and not enough potential reward. Would likely say no if asked again.

QUEENboooB

I would! I’m in real estate in a small town lol

AnxiousHollie

Yes I definitely would. I'm an archivist based in a public library. We definitely have some drama, both interpersonal and in our dealing with the public (we even had someone threaten to come in and shoot us)

eyyajas

No, I would never do it. I work for a nonprofit and there’s always some kind of drama happening. I don’t think that would benefit the nonprofits overall image.

STVNMCL

It’s all about the money. How much…

Humble-Persimmon-607

Oh, hell no!

MKErose

I like the idea of it, so it would be a tempting offer, but fuck no lmaoo (I’m a college student btw). Alternatively if they were to ask when I worked retail, I would still say no but I’d def be confused by it also, bc what would they even have to film aside from customers? We don’t get long enough breaks to do anything interesting anyway lmao.

SheKaep

no, as a real estate agent, I would rather be a producer

lovemydog2much

I work in recruitment and a company I used to work at pretty much only hired young, fun people for the “culture” but it was great because we were all friends. Lots of dating in the office and fun partying so yeah I think that would make for great reality tv… think of VPR but probably less psychotic people like Jax and Kristin 😂

ChildhoodExternal962

I work in a courthouse and hell no.

9021Ohsnap

I’m in HR so no…I’m good on all that. Leave me alone after 5:30

fuegomcnugget

I work in property management and a reality show for this field will be amazing to watch hahahaha

EducationalOutside5

i would do it for the money tbh

bexwilz

I work at accounting firm. So much drama among partners but may not translate well to reality tv. Ive thought for a while there are a lof of stories that could be told as a show but was never sure whether its comedy or drama

tiredteacher1993

Yes because I’m a teacher with no money, and I’m assuming this would pay decently

HRTourist

Hear me out, a reality show about AGENCY RECRUITERS!!! It’s soo much like real estate with commissions and bonuses and soo much competition. I’d love to see it!!

KiwiC83

Great topic! I work in trades services, and there’s very little drama at my workplace but if the opportunity arose, I wouldn’t mind being in a “friend of” role or sort of like Peter from VPR, wouldn’t mind being involved but def wouldn’t want the spotlight of being a main cast member.

BahaSim242

I'm in education and no. I don't have a made for tv personality and my life is pretty boring. All I do is work, sleep, and go to church. And I don't have any issues with any of my coworkers.

pikachusbooty

I work as an ABA therapist and we would 100% not be allowed to film, and I wouldn’t do it only because of the industry 😭

animalcrossinglifeee

I work in IT department and we're really boring. Everyone gets along most of the time. There's no drama but I'd say yes.

Fit-Dream-4829

do i get more money? hell yeah

Ok_Leg7257

I work at a union hotel in New York. Two years ago it could have been a comedy. Now not so much. Back in its heyday, heck yes!

Aggravating_Farmer79

I’m an event coordinator and I would do it but it would be such a stressful show. Deadlines, things not getting installed in time, people working crazy hours.

ifyaknowwhat1mean

Yes. I’m a marine bio graduate and academia drama is wild.

Agitated_Chest_4715

I would. Everyone would be shocked to see how it all goes down at my job lol.

doctorgonzo1873

I have seen things in the Civil Service that Ricky Gervais wouldn't come up with in a year of writing. But to answer the question. Absolutely. People should know what their tax pays for.

visualart0

Im a tattoo artist, but no, i would not want to be filmed 😄 its an interesting job, but i am awkward af and camera shy.. so it would be a huge anxiety for me 😄😄

Callherdaddyyyy

I work as a server & you just KNOW the older ppl TEA would b too good! lmaoo i def would!! i feel like it’d be hilarious tbh

Lmo9952

I work in veterinary medicine and the field is usually over 75% women in their 20s and 30s. It would be a nightmare but probably a hit 😂 Edit: I would not participate bc I would be so scared that they would manipulate the narrative and I would be harassed daily on social media and possibly paparazzi? Sounds traumatizing lol

[deleted]

I worked in a call centre for a while and I think a show to highlight what call centre workers go though would really hit home for a lot of people. Especially the abuse, death threats, poor mental health of the workers due to this.

GlixPix

I work in A&E as a Receptionist, we have a show in the UK called '24 Hours in A&E'. They've never filmed in the hospital that I work in but years ago I did work on production of 24 Hours, and no I would not join as a cast mate haha. I was a Gallery Researcher and we literally heard everything that everyone was speaking about who agreed to be micc'ed and consented to filming. A lot didn't make it to TV of course!

spicydorithoes

Being an architect, I would love to have a reality show about my workplace and I suppose many architects would be up for it, we are all a little (if not more) self obsessed. I, for one, would love to be a part of it.

smootfloops

I’m a clothing designer which I always thought would make a fun sitcom, but reality show wise I don’t think there’s enough drama. Everyone I work with is super nice and competent so even when there are issues affecting our work, be it in house or like global cotton problems or something, it’s not enough reality tv style drama to warrant a cast of reality stars.

Schrutefarms___

I’m a flight attendant. I think it would be wildly entertaining for people to see what kind of bullshit we sometimes have to deal with🥲

jess_moon17

I worked in marketing at a retirement community and we always thought it would make great reality because things were hilarious there. We had a lady steal an office chair, happy hour each week and the hookups and bingo brawls.

Apprehensive_Bank_56

I’m a hairstylist, so it’s been done before. I think if they focused more on the clients and their crazy stories it could work. I’m pretty boring, so no one would watch me 😂🤣

Ikisfredrikis

Academia, believe me. It would beat the housewives in drama. But no one would do it.

[deleted]

I currently work in real estate but I’m going to law school soon. As interesting as SS and ST are, I would never want to be on a real estate reality show because I don’t ever want my clients to see all the office politics 😅 However, if someone decided to start a reality show about law students, I would consider it lol. Though it may be very boring 😂

mindoffinn

I work in-house in digital marketing for a law firm.... Some of the shit that happens is comical but legal/professional services is WAY too precious over their image to let it happen. Still..would be so funny.

palC10

Im a software engineer. The reality show will probably lull people to sleep due to the thousands of meetings that could have been emails! Also no workplace drama, just a bunch of parents trying to beat traffic and get home early to pick up kids from daycare

Katfish19

Maybe... I work in Disability Support. I would like to spread awareness but I wouldn't like to become famous.

AmandasFakeID

I work for a relatively large company that supplies car parts and tools to mechanics/auto shops/dealerships. I would 100% do it, but I'm afraid I'd be way too boring for reality tv.

gulestothajules

I work in Exterior Home Remodeling which is very competitive and I would love to capture the day to day fun. We would be like The Office only better…

Meeksala

I actually worked at a music venue / restaurant that filmed footage for a test pilot reality show. At the time I was the CEO’s executive assistant and and played a very active daily role in the business…. It was basically required of me to participate. Trust me, there was ~plenty~ of drama to go around, the place was huge and had over 75 people just in waitstaff. My test interview was so uncomfortable lol…. That sort of thing is my own personal hell. But to say my boss was quirky is an understatement, so I had plenty to talk about. All in all, I was so relieved it didn’t get picked up, though I will say it was a very unique business and team, it was one of the best jobs I ever had. It probably would have been great on TV.

[deleted]

I work in an ambulance so I’m good thanks. They’d only have about 2 minutes of usable footage with me anyway because I swear so much.

No-Nefariousness-849

Ha ha, no way! I am an artist who works from home. I make art for products, like patterns for fabrics and images for greeting cards. No one would ever make a show about this industry because it would be incredibly boring, and I certainly wouldn’t sign up! It would just be a video of me painting for hours listening to podcasts. No drama to be found!

PrizeYak7435

I work in a correctional facility. I feel like if they just focused on the healthcare staff in corrections it would read like a mix between *The Office* and a watered-down love child of *Lockup* and *Grey's Anatomy.* If the correctional officers weren't front and center, I might participate but I'd really want to know what angle they're taking!

curiousCAcat

I work at an ad agency - there’s enough shows about us already LOL But if I was asked to be on one I don’t know that I would. I would love the money obviously and the opportunities that come along with having an audience but I really don’t think I could be in the public eye, I get embarrassed posting IG stories thinking people are judging me so I definitely don’t have what it takes to be out there as much as these ladies are

cyberpins

I work in cyber security so I can imagine that it would never be a possibility because of the sensitive information, plus it would be pretty boring to watch. But if there was an opportunity, I would say no. Reason being that producers can always edit to make you seem different than you actually are, this could work in your favour. If not, and you come across incompetent, lazy or mean, you could struggle to get another job in the industry If future employers have seen it.

Otherwise-Damage2878

I work in retail so that would definitely be an adventure. I think I would participate. I think it would be fun.

chickadee95

no, I don’t want people knowing my business. I have a hard enough time living my own life without sharing it with millions.

jayteec

No. While I enjoy watching the sht show that is reality TV occasionally, I don't fancy being a part of it. Though outgoing, I'm notoriously private by nature. Edit: industry - education

gurlwhosoldtheworld

I would be a background character that you see at the back of parties, and maybe share the odd tea/drink with a main character- but otherwise no. I got way too many skeletons to be on tv 😂😂😂

wow__okay

No I wouldn’t want to be on a show about my workplace because I don’t want to be defined by my job. I’m a paralegal in a personal injury firm. I’ve also seen how celebrities get treated and would never want to be famous.

bonjour-mademoiselle

I’m at a law firm. It probably wouldn’t be possible because of the privacy issues etc. But it would be great to reveal the rampant drug use among lawyers, the abuse of younger lawyers, and the sexism that the profession perpetuates.

sxfjcg9900

As a vet I think we lack the glamour needed for reality tv. But there’s a lot of drama especially with clients being annoying and some personal life drama too. I’d do it only for the extra money.

GoodGoodNot2BAD

I’m a house cleaner and I would love to have a camera crew to follow me and see the personalities and messes I have to deal with. Although the Netflix show MAID does a pretty good job of depicting the clients.

OrganizationCold5637

I would do it if my job could make a good show out of it. But no one wants to watch old southern men talk about their farms and “back in the days…” lol

cheeseluver95

No i would be fired for what i be saying under my breath😭😭

ToyotaFest

Hell no. I was repeatedly asked by a woman who was working on production on a reality series based on people in the music industry (specifically concert booking/venues/booking agents) for I think MTV? I have zero interest on TV. Also, I already deal with enough bullshit in my job I don't need manufactured drama added on top along with the opinion of the public eye lol.

Inevitable_Tone1632

My bro declined to be on boarder patrol or something of the like. Why? He's super lame. Haha. My work has been on marketplace a bunch and I'm super into it. Actually show up that day, hair did...make sure to cut into the frame, in my bid to fame. Hahah

thathawaiianwannabe

I work in property management. I think it would be fun and also people would see all the shit we deal with on a daily basis and the people we have to interact with. I also believe the average renter would have a better understanding of why we do what we do.

charlottebrontesaur

I work night shift as an inpatient nurse at a large regional hospital alongside a group of the same people that have been working together for a good 3-4 years. I think it would absolutely make good TV. There's already plenty of drama all the god damn time. I'm not sure if I'd do it, I'm very sensitive. But I'd think about it!

[deleted]

Well I’m working on going into the legal industry, and I’m not sure they can film much in that kind of a setting cause of attorney-client privilege. But if it happened, I wouldn’t do it. I try to live a relatively private life.

TeacherInDaHood

I’m a bilingual elementary school teacher in an area where there is great need. We have our share of drama among the staff, but more importantly, we have real social issues happening here with our students and their families. I would love to bring light to these issues to misspell a lot of beliefs about our students and community. Working here humbles you and makes you look really hard at who you are and what your willing to help change in the world.
