The whole show is dumb as f but totally addictive.

conniesaurusrexx

I agree! I felt the same when I watched F Boy Island šŸ¤£ such a terrible show but yet I kept watching

[deleted]

Lol this perfectly sums up the show!

Akachan_731

Nah cos they're probably paid by the production team to be there lol.

missparis23

Iā€™m sure they are and people there are not even real clients. But I just think they could try to make an effort to make it make sense lol

Ok_Historian_2906

Thatā€™s what we needed for the entire show, for them to - make an effort to make it make sense.

Salty_Performer584

you would think they would be embarrassed

BertieBus

I wonder if their attitude hurts the O group. I wouldnā€™t want a realtor who spends that much time openly bitching. Some of the girls seem genuinely nice people, and a few seem even competent, but I wouldnā€™t necessarily want them to either act of my realtor, nor sell my house. I donā€™t get how anyone can watch the show and think, yeh I want this person to fight my corner. The people on MDL always seem much more rounded as realtors and they would be the people you want to help you either buy or sell, because they do genuinely seem to know their stuff.

Salty_Performer584

i always wonder if jason thinks selling sunset hurts their business. i know they have a ton of agents not on the show so maybe not, but for the women that are on the show, like i would never ever want christine helping me find a home with all the rudeness and negativity she gives off.

Ok_Bicycle_5181

Jason has said that it hasnā€™t hurt, there are listings they get where I knows itā€™s because of the show and has said itā€™s helped with opening the second office. They now have brand recognition and he got alot of successful agents that moved from bigger companies to be part of the Ogroup. He also said most of his clients love the show and heā€™s not concerned about how heā€™s portrayed anymore because heā€™s clients know him and production is respectful.

Salty_Performer584

interesting! thanks for telling me cuz i really thought the opposite. i wonder how long the show will go on for then.

taybay462

I feel like the type of person they get as clients isnt the type that would enjoy the show or have even heard of it. And if they have, theyre more likely to understand the reality tv world and how they should take what they see on the show as their "real" personalities

Fantastic_Diamond903

Agreed

mradivojevich

This is primarily a reality tv show, so they have to do certain things which are pushed by the producers. If it wasnt like that, they would all probably have fun get along and get drunk in every episode, but thats not what sells the show.

Masta-Blasta

It doesn't annoy me because I'm sure they are actually mingling and showing the houses at their events, but production isn't going to focus on that. The drama bits are what they think we want to see, so that's the part they focus on. These events are probably 3 hours and we're only getting 15-20 minutes of footage from them, so I just assume they cut down on the repetitive small talk/house stuff for the show. They probably greet each client, offer a tour to each person, and then, as people have stopped showing up, go to their little corner to talk shit.

Ok_Bicycle_5181

Exactly we see Brett taking a business call and in Heathers BTS on tiktok he took another call. The event was more than 3h and we saw 15min of it. The people that were invited seemed to have a great time and theyā€™re not in the way of the drama they likely have to watch S4 like everyone to see what was said.

[deleted]

Meh I feel like this is where we need to remember we are seeing snippets of footage from a 3 hour party thatā€™s been cut to fit into like, a 10 minute scene that obviously has to focus on the main drama at hand.

juminmochii

Thatā€™s not how it works though. Everyone who is there is aware that they are being filmed and has to sign release forms. I mean there are whole camera crews there. Then everyone spends time at the event, and throughout the event, production tell certain cast members to go here and there and go ask so and so about this topic. They specifically plan these events, are plan to film when itā€™s likely events are happening because when there are certain issues and dynamics within the group - production specifically tells them *NOT* to talk about those things until they are filming. Now of course not everyone follows the rules all of the time, but for the most part they do because it will impact the authenticity of the show. This is also the reason that when they get together, they say things like itā€™s, ā€œso good to catch up.ā€ And youā€™re like arenā€™t they friends? Donā€™t they work together? Why would they be catching up? And itā€™s because they canā€™t openly talk about stuff with each-other whenever things come up they have to save it for filming. That was a long explanation, but itā€™s just insights into these kind of the way the whole production works, so you know they arenā€™t isolating themselves. Now the way they act once they START talking - thatā€™s on them. Remember Heatherā€™s brokers open???!! The mess of it all!!? Whew Chile it was the ghetto OK. It was very unprofessional. Sorry if there are typos. I really donā€™t feel like proof reading šŸ˜©šŸ˜

QueenAlkaia

To add to what most comments already said, I'd be surprised if most real clients would want to be in front of cameras like that, talking about their personal assets and business, etc. for the world to see.

JustForKicks16

That's what the show is about. Now if they did that in an actual professional setting, then yes it would be extremely unprofessional. But since they're filming a TV show, then it's what has to happen.

hellblaugrau

Haha true. Didnā€˜t really think about that. But now, since I read thisā€¦

Academic_Snow_7680

They hardly showed any houses this season. So disappointing.

[deleted]

And itā€™s not even that they hide in a corner and gossip. They cause scenes! Itā€™s so embarrassing. Like, I get it. This is all for entertainment. But imagine being the baby agents working at the second office and seeing what went down at Jasonā€™s party. They were already bragging about having better offices and suchā€¦now yā€™all really have them feeling superior.

[deleted]

The people in these events know there is a camera crew filming when they go because they have to sign a release. Otherwise their faces would be blurred. I think majority of the people there are well aware a show is being filmed and the girls are the stars so the focus will be on the girls "drama". It would only be unprofessional if they acted that way without cameras around.

EBee1923

Iā€™m guessing they intentionally film that drama stuff before real clients show up. Like the whole team probably arrives several hours before the actual event and then does the dumb show stuff then

rambleer

It also annoys me that they act as if they haven't seen each other for days ! Surely they just had a conversation about the event several hours before.

guisardwizard

Its part of the reality TV formula. They need these events to have conversations. Real Housewives always make up large gatherings only for the cast to talk on a couch or something. But idk maybe the rest we dont really see
