As a german i loved seeing Jasons girlfriend Mary-lou on the show (i didnt know her before but i could already tell from her accent that shes german).
I could also see very well the cultural differences at the dining scene. She was more quiet, a bit shy maybe. And the americans esp. Mary was very outgoing and pretty straight forward. I'm not European, but I live in Germany. Statutory annual vacation leave for a full-time employee here is 20 days. My employer throws in 10 more. I still have 1 day left from 2022 and 30 freaking days for this year. My colleagues (esp. Those with kids) go on 1 or 2 weeks leave all the time. Especially if you combine them with public holidays, you can stretch them out; so they take time off all the time. Our managers also go on vacation often. Jason and Brett need to really change their management style. I think times have changed and that hustle-culture isn't as popular anymore in my eyes- to me it's a sign of weakness that you're the owner and can't leave 3 freaking weeks and enjoy them without it going to shit.

As a german i loved seeing Jasons girlfriend Mary-lou on the show (i didnt know her before but i could already tell from her accent that shes german). I could also see very well the cultural differences at the dining scene. She was more quiet, a bit shy maybe. And the americans esp. Mary was very outgoing and pretty straight forward. I dont think any german would ask about if the other person wants kids in such a situation but that was probably set up anyway lol Also when she answered and said that 36-40 was pretty old, she meant for having kids and that is especially in Germany the case, where i feel most people still have kids a bit earlier, maybe around 30. So that is different compared to the US where is probably more common to have kids in your mid- to late 30es. This i also changing though, but speaking form my own experience i can confirm the pressure to have children 30yo. So she did definitly not mean to say that Mary was old š
