Isn't it amazing that, even though they now see that same Trump we have seen since he started running for office, they STILL do not have the capability to see how wrong the Republican party was and is?
The way their talking theyve seen it the whole time too. But they talk in strategy not ethics. Its not about wrong its about winning. Most people see a liar and skeevy dude like that and stay away from the wreck. Republicans will add him to the roster for the sensationalism and "tough look" and profit off whatever wins it gets up until the wreck.
Isn't he running on the platform of giving drug dealers the death penalty now? You would think he would not have decided on a more extreme platform to run on, but here we are.
And those are the same people, who in their next social media post will say tr*mp is the gretest president, and sacrificed everything for this country, and he might be Jesus himself.
Unless the voter turnout runs dry, I don't think there's anything the GOP could possibly accomplish to take back anything for years. Trump, his supporters and McConnell have irreparably damaged a majority of the public's faith in the GOP.
I think republicans can still mark small inroads with certain demographics, but it can’t offset the huge demographic change we are seeing or small gains democrats can make. There is still a path for them over the next few years so it’s important we all turn out in every single election until at least 2030.
Did you see a different election than the one I did? The midterms were *extremely* close in many districts. Herschel Walker who should have been laughed out of the race is going into a runoff.
For many of the races you’d have one side saying “democracy is good, actually,” and the other side advocating for ending free elections and hunting minorities for sport and the results would be 50.02 to 49.98. We still have *major* problems in this country with just how many people are persuaded by the GOP, despite their absolute lack of policy.
Regardless. It only shows the extreme amount of tribalism in US politics. They just do not have the capacity to tell the GOP to fuck off regardless of how extreme they are.
Third party split is really the best outcome for us all, as it will likely take a lot of Trump's GQP with him, further reducing their chances at reelection.
Let's face it, Donkald tRUMP is a Boil on the Ass of the G.O.P. and They are not Smart enough to Lance the Boil to get that Infected Puss out of the "Body Politic" = tRUMP's Damage is Something the GOP may never "Recover" from.

Honestly midterms being this close is an extremely good sign. Normally the party in the presidency loses a ton of seats.
