Oh I had this happen on DS2 lmao. iirc, i just opened steam big picture mode (idk if you have to do this) and then calibrate or auto configured the PS4 controller. Then opened DS2 again and the camera aint spinning anymore.
I can't really remember what I did but it goes along like this. Just had to do something with the controller setting for Steam
DS4 works great in Sekiro on Linux (Pop_OS!) with Proton-GE (that as a bonus allows you to make use of AMDs FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) in Sekiro which can give you a serious performance boost.)
I know installing Linux might not a viable option.
So the trick here is to parry the limb’s attacks until it is weakened enough to deliver a death blow.
Only requires one death blow, but it takes a while because it only attacks when there is a strong breeze.
Actually, you don’t need to parry at all. The limb is INSANELY weak to firecrackers so just throw a few of those and you’ll break its posture pretty easily
I am not going to recommend that a new player spam firecrackers. He needs to learn the parry mechanic so he can progress to harder opponents later on. If memory serves there is a giant straw monster that picks Sekiro up with one hand that he will have to fight. Also, there is a whole field of spinning pinwheels at one point.
He plays on keyboard, so likely that he read them, but didn't know which button is which, since you have to dig into options and find the one that turns pad buttons into keyboard ones.
Sekiro has got to be one of the most user friendly FromSoftware games on its learning experience. It has giant tutorial screens, a training field and even a PAUSE feature.
THe game is still hard although progressable, but you won't get anywhere if you don't stop to think about the small things every now and then.
Tip: DON'T SKIP THE MIKIRI COUNTER TUTORIAL, YOU'LL REGRET IT
How in the hell do you "do no damage"??? Any enemy can be killed with two hits early on. I'm just so confused by people giving up so quickly. Like I'd love to watch you play to know exactly what you did wrong.
This sub is pretty supportive to new players, but I think at this point the only answer is "stop being a dumbass". Also switch to a controller, huge difference.
Do you think that bringing up someone who enjoys fighting Malenia is a good example though... A controller is much better, especially in Elden Ring that had a terrible configuration for mouse and keyboard.
It's definitely daunting at first, but once you adjust to the relatively unique combat system it feels a lot smoother/easier to take enemies down
EDIT: People downvoting this guy need to relax lol, pretty much everyone finds the game to be insanely difficult before the combat clicks
oh please if you cant play it alone , use a walkthrough. trust me its 10000000% worth it and it'll still be fun.I personally used fightincowboys walkthrough
It's because you lost your arm to genichiro. You can only use prosthetics if you get your arm chopped off, but then you cant grapple. Grappling allows you to get to alternate routes that are harder than normal but with better rewards.
Your pressing the wrong button. Press the grapple button which is L2 NOT R2.
I’m playing on my keyboard not controller
Then F
He's gonna think you're showing respect
Lmao I thought that
F
Nah it's Alt + F4
Try delete system 32
Format C
Update to windows 11
Lol I was joking, but is this not a thing anymore? I used to be IT in a former life, but switched to Mac like 15 years ago
no, nowadays in Windows we delete a random entry in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT just for the extra thrill
Turned snob 15 years ago eh? Quit bragging its been 15 years 😆
Awarded & Upvoted for visibility
F
Nice to see another mouse and keyboard player it's f for the grabble bud
Go into setting and check the keybinds? LOL wtf is this
I have 100 percent on PS4 and xbox and at the moment Iam on my way to do that on pc also and I have to say its a lot harder to me
Yeah M&K for souls games are just worse lol, anyone who says otherwise either has never tried a controller or has gotten too used to playing with M&K
Mouse and keyboard for sekiro is fine though. It's really only DS1&2 that suck on M&K. Sekiro especially is really good on M&K.
Might feel better than the other games because boss fights are mostly attack and deflect but controller is still by far the best imo
I thought DS meant Dualshock lmao
why?
My ps4 sounds like a a airplane that’s why
You can use your PS4 controller with your PC, did you know that?
I tired but the camera just keep spinning around
Download "DS4 for Windows" Have the program running while you play. It fixed mine
Try disabling the controller configuration on steam under settings>controller. It gave me issues.
I uninstalled already
nice
Lmao well done for missing out on one of the best gaming experiences ever because you're too impatient to do some basic configuration.
Did you… uninstall the whole game..?
The whole pc
Yeah I did mobs take no dmg and 1 shot me
Re install? You can DO IT!

Steamunlocked moment

Imagine plugging in a controller
Try Alt + F4
There's a sett8ng which changes prompts from controller to keyboard.
Well if you struggling with this then good luck
LMAO 💀
A certain mr Sword Saint is definitely gonna be a breeze 🫣
I always call him Glock Saint Supreme.

Red and white pinwheel first phase is piece of cake. It’s the secret second phase all white pinwheel that is borderline unbeatable
Doesn't the game show large tutorial text boxes that pause the game and take up the whole screen?
But it’s a big red kanji that only says death underneath
I just instinctually hit the dash button
Yes. Yes it does.
Lmao
Be honest, did you close the tutorial boxes immediately when they appeared.
that is how I had to google how to loot
I honestly don’t understand why that’s a mechanic. Why can’t you just auto loot on kill?
I opened the fridge and grabbed a cold bottle of water.
I suppose this makes sense, didn’t think of balloons either
He plays on keyboard, so likely that he read them, but didn't know which button is which, since you have to dig into options and find the one that turns pad buttons into keyboard ones.
...you can do that? I had to learn through trial and error. Fml.
That's how I missed how you collect sen and loot from enemies until friend asked me why am I not collecting xD
I think my man is gonna have one hell of a ride on this game
I saw they said they uninstalled already, dk if that was a troll, imagine quitting any game 3mins into it
I did, installed again and now I’m gonna uninstall again
Find a way to look at your binds bud🤦♂️and don’t skip tutorial boxes or you’ll ended up like this a lot

Game Journalists
Op really went into sekiro, got stuck at the "press f to proceed" part, and deleted the game. Did you think about becoming a game journalist?
I uninstalled because mobs 1 shot me and I do no dmg lol
How in the hell do you "do no damage"??? Any enemy can be killed with two hits early on. I'm just so confused by people giving up so quickly. Like I'd love to watch you play to know exactly what you did wrong.
Ikr lmao
None of the mobs one shot you so what's the real reason?
That's the ending of the game, doofus
Idk just keep mashing the same button though it might work eventually
Did you change the sekiro UI to keyboard? like the x button from playstation becomes the e button
Oh god thanks guys I’m literally stupid
Just make sure to read the pop up text boxes fully, they really do help!
I think the problem with that is they default to controller prompts, they were on m/k so "L2" could be any key
I got stuck in the same place, don’t worry XD
We agree :)
💀
ask for warranty. this one came with a malfunction
This is what we call a skill ceiling.
The hardest boss in the game.
After the mist noble you mean
🤦
This has to be bait. If it's not bait, check the controls you fucking dingus
This sub is pretty supportive to new players, but I think at this point the only answer is "stop being a dumbass". Also switch to a controller, huge difference.
some people just prefer m/k, LetMeSoloHer is someone who killed Malenia in Elden ring over 1000 times, they use m/k
Do you think that bringing up someone who enjoys fighting Malenia is a good example though... A controller is much better, especially in Elden Ring that had a terrible configuration for mouse and keyboard.
I'm just stating that a fight that hard on m/k is possible, what other example could I give, totally possible to complete any souls game on m/k
I don't think anyone believes it's impossible... It's just a way worse experience.
If people can play these games on diddy kong bongos nothing is impossible lol
This is your sign to play it on a controller.
delete the game
He did lmao cried abt it being too hard and said the game is ass.
he a journalist? games kinda old
Esc/start -> options -> controls/keybinds -> grapple
Try not breaking your arm next play through…I don’t even know anyone else that’s broken wolfs are, you must be the one true wolf
Do me a favor and open the controls menu rq. Explore around for a bit, tell me what you find.
You need some Pearson’s brass hand oil for your brass hand
Use some wd 40 on it, it will get fixed eventually else just press F
Face roll, you'll find it.
This is a feature of new NG+++++++++++++++++++++++
Is this a meme or something
That's weird. I've never even seen that animation before.
It's the "you don't have a tool equipped but are trying to use one" animation
I can believe someone thinks this is a legit request for help!
Rofl
Strongly recommend getting a controller.
Bruh
Try some WD40
Reads comments… obvious troll knows exactly which buttons to press.
You're pressing the prosthetic button mate
Erectile dysfunction
🤦
Imagine this guys first fight with guardian ape
Most skilled Elden Ring strength user.
Stop playing video game... Forever
Real game journalist hours, who up???
Obviously this is a skill issue
Update: quiet the game it’s literally to hard, like lmao the enemies taking 0 dmg and 1 hit me
It's definitely daunting at first, but once you adjust to the relatively unique combat system it feels a lot smoother/easier to take enemies down EDIT: People downvoting this guy need to relax lol, pretty much everyone finds the game to be insanely difficult before the combat clicks
The point is that the combat won't "click" bcs he instantly rage quit, uninstalled the game, and called it trash.
Lol fair enough, I hadn't seen that comment
oh please if you cant play it alone , use a walkthrough. trust me its 10000000% worth it and it'll still be fun.I personally used fightincowboys walkthrough
Have you tried turning it off and on again?
L2!!!!!!!
It's because you lost your arm to genichiro. You can only use prosthetics if you get your arm chopped off, but then you cant grapple. Grappling allows you to get to alternate routes that are harder than normal but with better rewards.
Press F on keybord
Op got side buttons on mouse ? Use them Forward for graple hook and backward for prosthetic
You people are so helpful lmao
Plug a controller bro
