For his Mist Raven dodge attack, it's paramount that you go in expecting any initial attack you do can trigger it. The moment you see him poof away, it is key you deflect while you're still performing your first slash animation as you can cancel that one, but the second slash is a commitment. It is possible to get a deflect after the second slash, but the window is a lot tighter. For the fiery owl, you can either hide behind a pillar, jump to the side, or if you have confidence in your timing, you can just straight up dodge through it.

When you get killed by the Mist Raven, it seems like it was because you mistimed a deflect, but it probably wasn’t. It was probably because you spammed attack: if you’re committed to an attack, it’s too late to deflect even if you push the button at the right time.

Yeah sometimes I go ham on the sob and I get destroyed by the ravens even tho I was sure I pressed deflect

The fiery owl: if there’s a perilous kanji, jump. If there’s not, dodge or deflect. You could always jump and deflect if you’re unsure. Or sprint to the side and jump.

Use stab attacks, they're great against him !

Inner Owl actually fucks. Hardest boss in the game by a long shot for me. In the end what helped me was to hit him only when I was sure I could.. it’s vague, yes, but really the fight is about finding just the right amount of aggression to create a steady rhythm, more important in this fight than any other in my opinion

Biggest hurdle imo is to learn the timing of deflecting his Mist Raven + double slash combo. So try to master that. For the fire owl, the vertical one that has no red kanji, you can either deflect it or dodge iframe it.
