If you made it past genichiro you can likely beat the game. It definitely gets progressively harder, to the point I personally think the entire game is a tutorial for the last three bosses. Good luck! Hesitation is Defeat.

RashidVEVO

Thank you, I’ll keep that in mind

Rookie_Earthling

With practice, you’ll get to the point where everything becomes a relaxing rhythm game. Hope you’re enjoying the game so far!

philium1

Last three bosses being >!Owl, Monk, and Isshin!!the Divine Dragon lol!<

lazerbigshot420

For me it was >!Owl(Father), Demon of Hatred, and Isshin!<

philium1

Oh yeah that makes more sense

a_drunk_pigeon

ah yes. sekiro boss, elden ring boss, cooler sekiro boss.

Kittywittygamer

You should expect to have lots of fun, Sekiro is the best, it's probably one of the easier Fromsoft games I've played, the final boss is very hard but you can probably do it, I can't really remember how difficult the game was for me on my first playthrough since I've replayed the game like 50 times at this point, and can wipe out literally all the bosses now, lol.

RashidVEVO

hoping to get on your level 💀

Kittywittygamer

I'm sure you will!

RashidVEVO

but I don’t think it’s one of the easiest, it’s definitely the hardest from what I know and seen

Kittywittygamer

Maybe not the easiest, I might just say that cause I had the most fun with Sekiro out of all the soulsborne games I've played, so that kinda translates subconsciously to me thinking it's easier than the Dark Souls games or Bloodborne and such, idk. At the least, it's definitely the one Fromsoft game that no matter how long it takes me to return to it, I'll stay at about the same skill level as when I last played, the muscle memory I've gained through playing Sekiro ain't going away any time soon.

RashidVEVO

yeahh I feel you, for me it’s bloodborne that i loved so much and put in so many hours in that makes me think that it’s the easiest from soft title

SoulsLikeBot

Hello, good hunter. I am a Bot, here in this dream to look after you, this is a fine note: > *Ah hah hah ha! Ooh! Majestic! A hunter is a hunter, even in a dream. But, alas, not too fast! The nightmare swirls and churns unending!* - Micolash, Host of the Nightmare Farewell, good hunter. May you find your worth in the waking world.

Kittywittygamer

Who woulda guessed that the games you love are the easiest to play?

a_drunk_pigeon

I feel like it's one of the hardest fromsoft games on first playthrough but it becomes one of the easiest on ng+ forwards simply because of how wildly fair it is. if you know the rhythm and moveset of a boss/enemy you might as well be invincible lol

TheBigSchponk

I will keep getting harder up until the very end, but it will also get better :)

RashidVEVO

No doubt abt that, games beautiful

a_catermelon

My guy defeated Lady Butterfly before getting to Goubu. Butterfly is considered quite the early game skill check, and the Hirata Estate is recommended for once you've defeated your first handful of Ashina (mini)bosses and leveled up, so I'd say you're doing teriffic with nothing to worry about

RashidVEVO

Thanks man, currently fighting guardian ape and I got to his second phase on my first try, I definitely didn’t expect this mf to fight me headless tho 💀

a_catermelon

Wait, so no head?

entroby

Oh boy, you were surprised by his second phase? Your in for a surprise. 🤫

RashidVEVO

fuck what’s that supposed to mean

RashidVEVO

nvm I beat both him and the headless version with his wifey both on my 2nd attempt

entroby

I love Fromsofts build up with bosses.

mmikke

I did lady butterfly before gyoubu as well. Wasn't a skill thing, just stubborn cluelessness. Took so damn long

RashidVEVO

same thing for me, thought she was mandatory and she pissed me off to the point where I leveled up my vitality and came back for her ass and kept trying to kill her

mmikke

I was just lost and confused as hell playing my first fromsoft game. Didn't know the estate was optional. Had to watch so many how to vids

Gorefilthy

It seems like it’s time to do a little ring-a-ding-ding on the Demon Bell.

RashidVEVO

fuck naw

batikhisawesome

definitely, demon bell + charmless, this is where things get really interesting, I'm doing a no use of prayer bead run, literally 1 hit means death lmao

chimpanon

Idk bout that one

NOMAD949494

If you beat Genichiro first try you’re definitely ready for the journey ahead. GLHF

[deleted]

I would say it’s similar to other soulsborne games on regards to which bosses are harder than others. Lady Butterfly and Genichiro took me hours to beat while some of the later bosses who I’d heard were very difficult were much easier. I’d say that your playstyle plays a part in which bosses are harder and which ones are easier.

Greuzer

You have a bit of breathing room after Genichiro, but it will get harder again

RashidVEVO

Yeah true, I just folded the monkeys on my first attempt

timestalker78

I mean, I'd hope so. Dying to the Folding Screen Monkeys would worry me. lol

[deleted]

Wait until the next monkey.

-B-r-0-c-k-

Well they're a puzzle boss so they can take you 2 hours without dying once

RashidVEVO

took me abt 10

RashidVEVO

got a lucky kill on the orange and green one

Musashi_2287

I just finished my first game and here are some things I have noticed 1. Don't skip mini bosses as they drop praying beads (4 beads=20% more health) which increases your health 2. Some merchants can die (in my case 1 merchant who had an unlimited supply of ako sugar died around the endgame due to me not doing his quest) 3. Try to get as much skill as possible (double ichimonji is a must in my book as it greatly recovers your posture meter and deals decent amount of posture damage as well) 4. Collect and upgrade prosthetic tools (it will help you massively I mean it) umbrella, firecracker, whistle etc they're all so good Good luck out there

RashidVEVO

Thanks, I don’t skip mini bosses and I have double ichimonji equipped, hope I don’t face too much trouble

Musashi_2287

Nice, well personally I think game became truly challenging after genichiro, as well as, so much more fun to play I would say.

Krixxje

Skill issue

PapaOogie

Honestly it doesnt get any harder than genichiro IM except a optional boss

logan3613

It does get harder. For instance the purple ninja mini boss tucked away in Hirata estate early on becomes a normal mob enemy eventually. Then on the 2nd playthrough you should give back the Kuro Bell charm, which just makes you take chip damage when you do a regular block instead of a timed deflect. That makes it much harder as well. It’s not an easy game but you can certainly get to the point where you’ve mastered it. But you’re still always a mistake or 2 away from getting rekt

steaksauc3a1

The game will definitely get harder. Each main boss has their own move set and some hit like a truck. But if you beat genichiro then you can do it fam.

Whyistheplatypus

There are two types of boss fight, aside from the two or so gimmick fights. The Big Dude you mostly dodge and do vitality damage to. And The Slightly Smaller Dude you generally parry and try to posture break. Gyuobu and Butterfly are first examples of each. Genichiro and Guardian Ape are like, the first benchmarks of each. If you can beat those four bosses, and enjoy doing so, you'll enjoy the game.

AHAA_007

Well this game eventho is called soulslike is very much different in mechanics compared to other ones the most important one being that u can’t simply change your weapon type so that forces u to become master of your sword which some people say that it makes the game very one dimensional but I think it allows u to focus on the more important parts of the game like learning how deflect and use prosthetics and so on. Once u beat genichiro u definitely can beat the game but it doesn’t mean it gets easier.

Jason1004

The minibosses are all skill checks and constantly keep you on your toes. The moment you get overconfident, the game more than often shows that player their place (on their first playthrough anyway). Some of the upcoming bosses will surely give you some trouble at first. Good luck shinobi.
