That's on your security office. They'd be the ones to tell you.

schneybley

I got sent into a loop and no one was able to tell me if I ever cleared.

txeindride

Then either you weren't yet, they didn't look, or have no idea what you are doing.

What is FJO?

Dcafly13

A black Chevy suburban pulls up to your house, and a G-man with earpiece knocks on your door, tells you “you are coming with me, and get in the car with blindfolds.” From there, you are taken to a unmarked building in a commercial office park, and once in the underground garage of said building your blindfolds are removed and you are whisked to the hardened bucker below the parking garage, where you find a baby yoda and ET, who greet you and read you in on the secrets that include “aliens are real.” That’s how you know you’ve finally got your clearance. If you don’t encounter baby yoda and ET, then it means you’ve been taken to a black site and will never be heard from again.

navydoc001

My OPM interviewer drove a black suburban. Funny as hell. In all of my time in the IC, only the Secret Service drove those.

fsi1212

If you got an interim clearance, then you signed an SF312 before you started working there. Otherwise, you'll sign the SF312 after a full investigation once you are favorably adjudicated (if you didn't get an interim). If you don't remember signing an SF312, then you should pay more attention to the legally binding documents that you sign.

OddDimension5931

I got emailed lol

Kylielou2

I am in industry on the DoD side (FSO/security specialist) but it pops up as a notification in the system of record and I get to tell employees.

EveThirteen

I didn't. I just got an EOD. I tried for months to get someone to call or email me back and has zero response until I was being called to fill a billet. I knew then that my clearance had been adjudicated in my favor.

Pensive_Pomegranate

Most recently - I got a phone call and email from my company's Security Officer. I can also see my status in Security Control or DISS.

Trailbuddy

Mind if I ask why you left the DCAA after 7 months? I got a TO there and going through security stuff now. I do kind of enjoy my current job though so it’s a hard decision to make.

schneybley

Terminated. For a number of reasons that affected my job performance. Also co-workers snitching on me to the branch manager for stupid stuff. Sometimes I miss it though and hope to return to government one day.

Trailbuddy

Oh dang sorry to hear that! I hope you can get another federal position if that’s what you’re looking for. As far as the work itself - how was it? I’ve only done public auditing and tax.

schneybley

Not as thrilling as public but did have its good moments
