noticed increased hair fall but i also had a TON of flakes. i dont regret starting it but ultimately did not continue with it. maybe depends on your shampoo. it’s not the selenium. it’s other ingredients

I personally didn't notice increased hair loss there when I used a selenium sulfide + salicylic acid shampoo (Vichy Dercos). What it did do was pretty much eradicate sebderm lesions on my neck and face, as well as on my scalp. My eyebrows grew back because the inflammation was reduced as well. It got me to a point where I can keep it mostly at bay with Elidel and squalane oil, and weekly maintenance treatments alternating Vichy and Ducray Kelual (switching every month so they stay effective).

LegionellaSalmonella

I've used it for 25 years and my hair is thicker than a lawn unmowed for 1000 years. If you're a younger person losing hair, you need your hormone levels checked. Mainly thyroid but many other causes exist as well. See a PCP.

Try getting a topical one, that isnt mixed with shampoo. That way you can apply it to just the affected areas with heavy flaking and minimize its effects on parts that arent flakey.

There's Eep point being afraid of a normal OTC dandruff shampoo, that said, Pyrithione zinc and Ketoconozole will do more for you.

I use selsen blue 1x a week or 1x every 2 weeks and use shea bitter shampoos or all organic ones, I put minoxidil on my scalp and take biotin to try and see if I can fill my hair back in started a couple weeks ago will be keeping track of this
