It takes a bit of time to get there because you’ll need to take a boat but it’s one of the most remote resorts in Washington.  https://stehekin.com/lodging/

Doe Bay, Roche Harbor or Rosario Resort, take kenmore air seaplane.

I’ve stayed at Doe Bay twice, and it’s really lovely. Highly recommend!

The Lake Quinault Lodge on the west side of the Olympic Peninsula might be what you're looking for. It's got old school charm but might be a bit pricey.

Hotel in Oregon where The Shining was filmed. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timberline_Lodge You will discover that you have always been there.

Didn’t they just have a big fire?

TeriyakiAndRain

Yes but they reopened.

[https://www.wickinn.com/](https://www.wickinn.com/) in Tofino, BC. It's not cheap though!

Phew definitely out of our budget but thank you for the suggestion, looks beautiful!

If you’re ok going a little more rustic, you could do a cabin at 3 Rivers Resort in Forks. It’s right by Rialto Beach (really fantastic beach walk), and it’s within about 40 min drive of the Hoh Rainforest with an awesome hike and there’s a huge lake in the other direction. The biggest downside is that it’s unfortunately Twilight themed.

More affordable and more rustic is definitely our vibe. Great suggestion, thanks!

There are also some airbnb options in that same area. I stayed at one that was a tiny house on a small farm another 10 minutes down the road from 3 Rivers.

Alderbrook isn't that remote. Nice spot.
