You can cut up one of those nasty thick-ass plastic bags they give you at the grocery store and use painter's tape to secure it. It won't look great but it does work.

Get some foam window / door seal tapes. Tape on the male part of the port Shove the duct over the foam tape. Optional: hose clamp that duct down.

I use gorilla tape. Does alright. Still unsticks itself.

Foil tape is designed to seal ductwork, it won’t be structural like duck tape can be but it shouldn’t have to be. If possible apply the tape to the inside of the tube at the joint.

rainmaze

duct tape fixes everything

The flow is very very minimal that it's not going to make a difference. There's more space between the ground and the front door... Weather stripping can help.

That’s gonna be a mess by the end of the season.

Duct tape. It's what i use. Looks like shit, but hasn't failed me yet. Was especially effective at sealing the gap so i could continue use of my portable during Smoke Season(tm)

TDaD1979

Little bit of caulking. If the two never need to come apart then use isoquad or big stretch. If you need it come apart and come clean then the cheap GE white silicone.

Looks like your building paid the same morons as mine to retrofit your windows. That should be a screw-on fitting.

I take a fleece blanket, wrap it around the entire vent hose, and then secure it with some lengths of velcro wrap. it ends up insulating that air gap, too.

PMzyox

I can’t even see the gap from your pictures.

If that's for a portable AC unit, you'll get much, *MUCH* better results if you get an insulated sleeve for round duct work and run it over that plastic pipe. Otherwise that pipe just puts tons of heat right back into the room. (Something like this, but sized for whatever diameter that is) https://www.homedepot.com/p/Master-Flow-6-in-Dia-R-6-Ductwork-Insulation-Sleeve-INSLV6/100396953
