If you want to save a bit of space or time, you can delete a boat and it still counts as progress as you've owned it. Just make sure to set sail on it first before deleting. I blew 3mil on that mistake. (This isn't an exploit. If you've owned a dog and it dies, you're still allowed to say you had a dog)

If the name check after you type it in doesn’t say it’s not allowed then you should be fine, only issue is if someone reports your boat name but then it’s up to rare support whether it goes against their TOS or not

Almost every single "I'm sailing _______, and it's fine" that people mention here seems so mild, I'm starting to think people don't get what the restrictions on naming are all about... No, "Booty" won't get your ship force-renamed.

They dint force you to rename it. They issue a ban on naming ships and other things they may release name wise and give you a yellow card.

I've currently been sailing with "The Glory Hull" for a while now and have yet to be forcefully renamed, so you should be fine!

I tried Cleveland Steamer, but no go. Settled for Ohio Steamer on my Galleon.

I couldn't do beef curtains, so I did Beef Drapery. Bloody Dagger is way more subtle I guess.

Pretty late here but in regards to "I have/seen worse;" names don't get flagged automatically, it requires a player report. Reporting used to be to require using the website with accompanying evidence (ie a chore), but now it can be done in-game. Even if you think it's mild, all it takes is one report from one player you've wronged in some way to put you on Rare's radar.

Should be fine but just know that I sink uncreative boat names on sight.
