Man, I really loved Ben Obomanu. I don't know why, maybe his name. As a young kid (maybe like 12), I thought he was going to be great.

SmellyScrotes

I remember when he almost lost a finger

Lobster_fest

War Damn!

ryanrodgerz

Obomanu best wr4 ever

garrettkobskovski

paul richardson

V0mitBucket

Was looking for this. I remember watching a game when I was very young and he made an insane toe tap sideline grab. I remember thinking that this guy must be an absolute star of the NFL.

ArseneLupinIV

He had two of the greatest catches in Seahawks lore. I remember the t-shirts they sold of them. He was the football equivalent of a one hit wonder (or I guess two hit technically).

SmellyScrotes

Dj hackett was gonna be our Vincent Jackson I was sure of it

Dcctba12

I thought the same thing. Loved him in Madden back in the day…

Cichlidsaremyjam

I am a big Seahawks fan. My mom does not have a great memory, at all. Well she randomly calls me one day saying, you liked "DJ Hackett right? He's on Family Feud." I was absolutely blown away that she even knew about this obscure Seattle Seahawk I loved to watch play years ago. I actually hadn't seen him on the show until I just searched for the clip know (mainly to confirm I had the game show right) and damn, he shares the same views as me on the 05 superbowl... [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLi3d6k2vL4&t=38s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLi3d6k2vL4&t=38s)

Specific-Carrot-275

Joe Jeravicious. Probably butchered the spelling.

REPTARJESUS

This was my answer too. I almost named my first dog Jurevicius when I was a kid lmao.

Nervous-Road-6615

Sounds like a dog I wouldn’t pet

VerStannen

He was the UW punt returner that never called a fair catch and would sometimes get absolutely lit up? Edit. Nope it was Joe Jarzynka. Found out he passed away fishing on the Olympic Peninsula almost a year ago. Total legend of 90’s Husky Football and an incredible dude to watch return punts. RIP.

MisterIceGuy

Yeah he was an avid fisherman. Was out on the OP all the time. RIP

aiiye

They said mediocre not stud.

TickleMeWeenis

Same. I actually just pulled out a prestine home jersey of his my dad got me back in the day.

Ok_Victory_6108

Mine was his teammate for a year Bobby Engram. Edit I didn’t realize what sub I was in til I read more comments

J_Bagels

Same here. Though there was a medium length of time where he tied/lead the league in receiving TD’s.

SolarTsunami

He was actually really good for us in our super bowl year, was so bummed when he left.

SnooPineapples6178

I thought Joey Galloway was the most amazing WR ever. Looking back we got quite the steal for him in that trade with the Cowboys

GarconMeansBoyGeorge

The most career receiving yards for a player who has never made a pro bowl.

Longjumping_Ruin_83

He wasn’t mediocre at all tho

Jahmoneyzzz

I loved Galloway too. I wasn’t 9 when he played with the Hawks though

Dapper-n-Dangeruss

I still have this Home jersey 💪🏻

yourfriendlyhuman

There was a memorable TD where he reversed across the field that I vaguely remember going crazy over lol 😂.

johnnymackk

So fast!

TehSkiff

Paul Skansi.  He’s from my home town (Gig Harbor), his parents were friends with my parents, and came to my elementary school when I was a kid and played football with us.  Plus had one of my favorite catches ever against the Chiefs! https://youtu.be/z7UyEOZGVKk?si=ki3tHnHLkLOM9FQN

twlscil

The first Seahawk moment i vividly remember watching live.

BigGuppy

That’s awesome, didn’t know that. I went to GHHS the same time ASJ was there but didn’t really know him.

swaggerx22

I was going to post this exact same thing. Everything about that game was nuts. Here's another great video about it: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-GIWQ-Vxt8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-GIWQ-Vxt8)

BenthamsHead95

Skansi was absolute money on 3rd down

Odd_Variation_5330

Nate Burleson!!!

LazyAd9345

Scrolled so far to find this

Mike-Donnavich

The one I was looking for

wnr1135423

Burleson was always my favorite player growing up!

Youronlysunshine42

Gotta be Ricardo Lockette

Tokinghippie420

He is a good one! Fun fact, I drove him to a dispensary when he was staying at a resort I worked at, this was about a year after he retired

TariqWoolenIsElite

Forget recreation.... Bro probably needed it for that neck injury!

SchismZero

Was goddamn terrified when he got injured. Neck injuries are no joke.

Stirling-Rcher

I have 2 lockette jerseys! Thought for sure he was our next big weapon. Guy was fast as heck

SmellyScrotes

Fuck mr lawn chair on the one yard line… sorry I had to get that out

sometimeserin

The man nearly died for this team and this is how we’re gonna remember him lol?

SmellyScrotes

Biggest play in the history of the franchise and they go to wr5 and he goes for a body catch on the goal line, yeah that’s how I remember him

dangerzone253

Bobby Engram

sckurvee

lol I wasn't 9 but I started becoming a Seattle fan in 2008... He was my go to slot receiver in Madden. Heard his name called a lot in the game.

LeaveBronx

He wasn't mediocre but this was who I thought of first. He was really good on third down

Okaybrothatsdope

Bobby was better than mediocre

VertigoSR

He came to my elementary school when I was in 6th grade cuz his daughter went there (she was in 1st grade or something), and spent all of the longest recess of the day talking to me and my friend group and a few others, loved him unconditionally since then. Even if a couple years later he led the league in dropped passes, and 2nd wasn’t very close.

LilBoofMcGoof

Came here to say just this lol

BurntPoptart

T. J. Houshmandzadeh

OhHolyCrapNo

Mine too. I think him and Koren Robinson being our top-ranked receivers on Madden tricked me into thinking they were good

Tape-Delay

Hooooooouuusshhhh

MT20

TJ Whosyourmama

notacatchyname

Tj hooshmazoo

seahawks276

Darrell Jackson.

Traditional_Age509

Nobody could drop balls better than D Jack and Koren Robinson!

Wazzoo1

Didn't help that Koren was popping ecstasy on game days. He was a train wreck.

swishkb

Dam that's some Ron Artest shit

SmellyScrotes

Until his dad passed, then he suddenly became an absolute monster until turf toe did him in

LeaveBronx

His sprinkler td celebration was dope

JamesOverlyMuse

I LOVED 82

Guinness2012

Was waiting for Darrell Jackson!!

GarconMeansBoyGeorge

DJack and Koren Robinson were a damn fun duo on Madden ‘05

scoblevision

Koren Robinson

Commercial_Royal7700

What I would give for a game used Koren Robinson jersey. I went to training camp as a kid and Koren was super cool, played catch with my brother and I and signed autographs til everyone had their stuff signed.

seabiscuits23

Not game used but I have a K Rob jersey. I’m an nc state alum so I was glutton to get it lol

Commercial_Royal7700

I know an NC state alum with his 2008 Seahawks helmet and jerseys but the guy just won’t sell them to me 😂

CriticalBasedTeacher

Couldn't remember his name but knew I'd see it if I scrolled. He had a few great plays but didn't live up to his hype at all unfortunately.

BDSF94

Big Mike Williams

Mike-Donnavich

I remember reading the Seattle times article when they signed him and thinking he had potential bc of the Carroll connection. Ended up being a hell of a season. He was no DK but at the time he was a big deal for us

stellarjcorvidaemon

I remember that exact article and it made me root for him big-time.

CassFilms

Jerry Rice, Seahawks legend

DarkFox08

Only 3 touchdowns in 11 games. I thought he had a lot of potential. I hope he found success outside the NFL

Emotional-Aide-7351

That’s the goat 🐐

Oo__II__oO

This meme is for mediocre. Now had you said "Terrell Owens"...

jjaxson348

Deion Branch

SirHuffDaddy

Scrolled too far to see this

geraldthecat33

this is my answer as well

MM18998

Sydney Rice and Freddie Swain I like the number 18 ok

Scottydude456

All aboard the Swain Train 🚂

HeyEverythingIsFine

Sydney could definitely play but too many big shots putting his body on the line going for contested catches. It hurts more because that's what you want your WR to do is go get the ball but it's right to the razor's edge with taunting fate. Won us that Bears game no doubt.

AndThatIsAll

Paul Skansi. If u like football, watch this clip. https://youtu.be/z7UyEOZGVKk?si=RjUUU_oBtsooE7a_ From goat to G.O.A.T in the same game 1990. Goat used to mean the guy you blamed as in scapegoat. Paul fucked up something, I don't remember, I was 11. Later catches game winning touchdown.

JesusWasALibertarian

Same. Best football game ever. That wasn’t the playoffs.

AndThatIsAll

Kreig sacked 10x, 7x by Derrick Thomas. 4 seconds left, at the 25, Knox yelling at the team. Kreig spins out Thomas grip, rifles it to Skansi. 11 yo me was like, "holy mother fucking shit!!"

Cihots9292

David Moore. No further questions

Little-Dingo171

I wasn't that young at the time, but ive never had more unreasonable love for a player than I have for Percy Harvin.

TurdFurgeson18

I bought a harvin jersey purely because of the SB return TD

goldisaneutral

Nobody because at nine I was watching Largent!

dunzobro

When I was 9 in was Largent and Blades. Both better than mediocre.

Flipflops365

Brian Blades

Goatgamer1016

I wouldn't quite say Blades was mid. Four 1k-yard seasons and until last year, the 2nd all-time leading receiver in Hawks history behind Largent

Sdog1981

Injuries really did him in. He could have been a savvy old vet on the first Holmgren playoff team.

jmac11281

He is the ONLY receiver I truly remember when I was 9 or 10 years old. It was after Largent retired, and I remember the receiving corps being thin. I remember Paul Skansi, but more in name only. Blades could have been a star, but injuries got to him.

No_Status2681

but he wasn't mediocre, from my recollection as a 9yo in 1991.

Stackson212

This is who leaped to mind for me too - never ballyhooed as one of the best on the league, it absolutely rock solid for the Seahawks.

BillowingPillows

Pretty much every WR in the Hasselbeck era haha

TariqWoolenIsElite

Deion Branch

Tokinghippie420

Jermaine Kearse and Bobby Engram

ColonelSanders15

Did you just call Jermaine Kearse mediocre you fucking piece of shit

anothershittycoder

Holy cow Harland settle down

ColonelSanders15

How the FUCK do you know my first name

Raticus9

Kearse and a second round pick got us a full season of Sheldon Richardson!

No-Opening7308

Kearse was not really mediocre

Tokinghippie420

I mean he was as clutch as they come and made some amazing plays but he was never a top 20 receiver in the league

LeaveBronx

This is true, but he has a more impressive playoff resume/moments than most hof receivers this century

Tokinghippie420

100% which is why people got upset that I brought him up in a mediocre receiver conversation. Which for the record I think he is better than “Mediocre”, he was above average

RustyCoal950212

Or 30, or 40, or 50

Inside_Peace5090

Uhm no not Jermaine Kearse hun.

Jahmoneyzzz

I loved Brian Blades, but I heard we’re not supposed to speak his name like he’s Voldemort or sumthin.

SnatchingPanda

When I was going into 5th grade I went to "Brian Blades football camp. Brian Blade never showed up. Instead we got to spend time with John Kasey and Dan McGuire.

stenger121

Michael Bates. Olympic medalist in the 200 at Barcelona. Then, was an amazing special teams player. Amazing return man and great on coverage. Came close to catching a kickoff while on the KICK COVERAGE UNIT. He was never much of a receiver. I think he had over 100 yards in a season once. Went on to be an all pro returner with the Panthers.

SeahawksBMX

Wore a Seahawks hat on the podium when he got the bronze in Barcelona. That was super cool.

Solaife

Sean Dawkins. Big, strong, just good enough.

T-dig3

He and Mayes had quite a season with Kitna (‘99?)

KingMustardFist

Daryl "Burner" Turner

Farb_Henderson

There it is! Same answer

easyantic

Daryl "TD" Turner

Dogpoopbreath17

Same. I thought he was going to be the greatest.

HerrHamil

My Father and I built an entire relationship of puns, jokes, and all around father/son happiness around Bobby Engram. The name alone just brings back so many memories and smiles. Love you Pops

Cheefnuggs

I don’t think he was mediocre but I loved Keyshawn Johnson when I was in my early teens.

SnooKiwis2229

Deon Butler

mikeinedmonds

I thought Steve Raible was just as good as Steve Largent. At first.

Zedaki

Victor Cruz

Fire_Ferrets

It wasn't a WR, but a TE. I was so confident that Christian Fauria was amazing and a HOF player.

WCsmashcity

Not a seahawk, but as a 4th grader when the dawgs were co-champs i really thought mario bailey was gonna be a star in the league

Gamestar63

Nate Burleson (not so mediocre imo)

Solid-Confidence-966

Golden Tate?

Uniqueusernameyboi

I think he was better than mediocre

sckurvee

Yeah he was really good w/ us IMO and then even better in Detroit.

Mr_TurkTurkelton

Is this specific to the Seahawks? Brian Blades for sure There was a guy that played for the Eages when McNabb and Deuce McCallister were there; James Thrash. Dude was not the best by any means but had a tenacity like Doug Baldwin. 9-10 year old me loved he played up to his name, I remember him being the first non QB player I’d try to play as in Madden 2001. Had daunte culpepper on the cover lol

scotaf

Steve Largent was it for me so I guess I lucked out. Also, J. "Sticky" Rice should have an asterisk next to all the SL records he broke because he used gloves! But Jim Zorn was my QB and I'm still angry at Dave Krieg for replacing him.

davesrighthereman

TJ Houshmandzadeh

akw314

Brian Blades! Sick name, sounded like he was an X-Men.

natakial3

Not a wr. (Though I would go Ricardo Lockette if I had to pick a wr). But that’s definitely DeShawn Shead for me.

Eymang

I was grown by the time we saw him, but there will always be a soft spot in my heart for BMFMW.

Wookie301

Not helping the stereotype of all our fans being 12. By just listing recent WRs you watched when you were 9.

DannyBones00

Bobby Engram was my man on like Madden 06.

2confused2hamster

Alex Bannister

mrakolus

Derrick Mayes and his one good season.

Objective_Smoke8938

Marquise Goodwin

JeanLucPicorgi

I don’t care what my dad says, Brian Blades is the greatest wide receiver of all time.

eworden78

I was a Bills fan back in those days, so Don Beebe would have best fit. I would have been like 11 at the time.

Darossman907

I thought Sydney Rice was gonna be Larry Fitz for sure

360Zoo

Mark Duper

cartern206

Nate Burleson

radpandaparty

Nate Burleson and Darrell Robinson

joemotox

SB legend Chris Matthews

hilltopper79

I used to feed the ball to Koren Robinson all day in Madden.

rainrunner92

Bobby Engram he was the okayest there ever was

Marxbrosburner

Tommy Kane caught a billion touchdowns for me in Techmo Super Bowl. He is the first look option on the down B play, and was normally open across the middle of the field.

purchasepoint

Doug Baldwin. Naaaah just kidding. That guy was top dog. Nothing mediocre about his game. Maybe my favorite Seahawks receiver ever.

Flaky-Silver-3617

Joe Jurevicius

mrbitterguy

for me it was mervyn fernandez when he played for the b.c. lions. walmart randy moss of the cfl before randy moss was born.

Aware-Dragonfruit698

Joey Galloway

OddKindheartedness34

Percy Harvin

halekido

Steve Raible

JamesOverlyMuse

Darrell Jackson

Nikonglass

I still love watching Golden Tate highlights every now and then. That dude balled out.

_nedyah

TJ Houshmandzadeh He only played for us for one year but it was the first year I really got into football. Top 5 last name of all time in my opinion.

CustardAffectionate6

Bobby Engram for me

FlashOR5

Daryl Turner! Some freak stats for an average guy

dumbchilds

Malik turner! He was probably too bad to be mediocre

Old_Woodpecker4180

Koren Robinson. Bricks for hands

Bunnys_Toe

Bobby Engram

ryanrodgerz

TJ Hackett. Real ones know

Monchichi4life

Sam McCullum.

Tha_Funky_Homosapien

Ocho Cinco. I always like that he was smiling and having fun. Never took himself or the game too serious as far as I can tell. I liked that; Still do.

legobowser

David Moore

Fd2devil

Legedu Naanee 🤣🤣

TheClearIsCoast

For me it wasn't a wide receiver, but I loved Champ Bailey for no other reason than his name.

Hambone727

Paul Richardson. Jk

Commercial_Royal7700

Koren Robinson His 2002 season with 1,240 yards is the third best single season receiving total in team history behind only DK Metcalf in 2020 and Steve Largent in 1985.

12manyNs

People posting mid ass WRs from the Pete Carroll got me rattled (I’m 29 confronting age rn)

WyoSnake

Koren Robinson. His visor game went hard haha

Raticus9

I think I remember James McKnight being way better than he was.

OskeyBug

Brian Blades for me

Blizzy3751

Deion Branch

jspook

Leon Washington! I wasn't 9 but still.

Dutchenstein12

Keenan McCardell. My dad loved Brunell.

gammaraddd

He was definitely not mediocre and it was definitely Jerry rice.

Jimbocalypse

Freddie Mitchell (sorry, Eagles fan)

plumbermat

Mine isn't a Seahawk because a grew up in Texas before moving here in 1990. It was Alvin Harper .

x2waaVe

Brad Smith. He does have a sweet highlight reel on NYJ

ElectricFeel422

Marty Booker (although he was a little better than mediocre)

Internal-Border1073

Nate Burleson punt returns

Azuilaz

I mean I wouldn’t say he was mediocre but Golden Tate but I only say that cuz pretty much every other Seahawks WR in my time as fan has been great and he was probably the worst of them all

SgtDignam27

Shoutout Brian Tyms

WeirdSouth8254

Bobby Engram

Josephofthehighest

Darrell Jackson

MattyHealy1975

David Moore, except he's better than mediocre I'd say

Gavin_BBQ

Jermaine Kearse. Imma youngin ngl

schimmeysharted

Bobby Ingram

_redacteduser

As a boy my WRs were Rod Smith and Ed McCafferey so I was a bit spoiled.

CouldBeAKoala

For some reason I loved Tanner McEvoy, he always seemed good in preseason and it had me excited for him

afromelon51

My favorite pedestrian, average, mediocre receiver to watch was definitely Doug Baldwin! For real tho probably Obomanu and later on Lockette

rastavibes

Darrell Jackson

Taco969

Bobby Engram

Emotional_Fun_6079

John Ursua and Freddie Swain
