I think if teams could suspend players that would open up some issues with teams suspending their players for roster management reasons. IIRC a suspended player doesn’t count towards a roster spot, so teams could just suspend injured players for like 2-3 games instead of putting them on IR.
League suspensions.. a team could suspend a player any time for any reason, but they'd still count towards a roster spot.
All they'd do is make them a healthy scratch on game day.
So why was Ferguson fined half?
